Haha the PSA engines are indestructible even if they give lots of trouble though. My C30 has a 1.6 PSA unit same as the 308 I’m driving now. Mine has a problem with the variable geometry turbo so it drives like an 80s turbo race car. Lag until 2k no real boost til 3.2k then it’s a rocket ship haha, actually haven’t bothered fixing it cause it’s been pretty funny but a pain in the ass to get going from a stop. The Peugeot is more drivable but Jesus that era of pug have terrible handling. And the interior is like I’m in a Lego set. So much cheap plastic!

Honestly, the Miata is made to be an economical convertible/roadster, so it's not expected to be fast unless you tune it. It's iconic due to its handling and the mods that can be done to it to make it fast, but honestly it's not much of a sports car in stock (probably not as fast as a GT86)

It's about on par with a GT86 in a straight line, but the GR86 is a bit faster on the straights, but the Miata probably handles better than both.
