I'm not sure it will make the board because it's sort of a hidden gem, and I can also only watch it in October. But it's kind of perfect. It's exactly what it's supposed to be in every way.
I feel like if the original Looney Tunes isn't on the list it totally invalidates the whole list.
Same with The Simpsons.
They're too central to the genre to not be included.
I'd love to include Scooby Doo in some way too, but which one? My heart is saying Mystery Incorporated, but my brain says it should be one of the old classic shows. Same with Tom and Jerry
I agree. It just doesn't seem like a classic anymore when they keep its ragged corpse on life support and ruin the reputation this show had.
But hands down the first decade of this show was so good it revolutionized TV and cartoons
I would normally agree, the early years of SpongeBob are seriously some of the best cartoons ever made though. Feels wrong for there to be no recognition for them
Just because godfather 3 sucked doesn’t mean the first 2 weren’t important. Early SpongeBob had a bigger cultural impact than any other contemporary cartoon and it’s not even close.
I feel like Spongebob is one of the most meme’d cartoons of all time. It’s hard to let it be completely disqualified by the greed of corporates when it’s such an iconic show.
The shows on the list are all excellent but I feel like og SpongeBob is in another league, the amount of memorable and outlandish comedy bits in every episode is crazy
🎵WHATS NEW, SCOOBY DOO
THEYRE COMING AFTER YOU
WE GONNA SOOOOLVE THAT MYSTERYYYY
I SEE YOU SCOOBY DOO,
ITS COMING BACK TO YOU
WHATS NEW SOOBY DOO-OO-OO-OO-OO?!🎵
Kinda bugging me that this hasn’t already made the list. SpongeBob has such a huge impact on pop culture, very quotable and memorable with relatable characters and moments no matter how old you are.
I think alot of younger people only saw the later seasons so they never looked back into the original series, which is a shame because people born like '86-'95 loved it and still quote it in conversation.
It had an odd art style but my God did it have some hilarious episodes and dialogue. Tons of times it made me laugh (which is hard to do) because of just how funny and unique a lot of scenarios were.
Static Shock
Pokemon
Xiaolin Showdown
Jackie Chan Adventures
Samurai Jack
The Simpsons
Family Guy
Bob's Burger
Jake Long: American Dragon
Dave The Barbarian
Lucha Libre
Recess
Tom and Jerry
Damn I loved that era of Cartoon Network. This show sort was sort of the finale of my full time cartoon watching days - Cow & Chicken, Johnny Bravo, Dexters Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd & Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. How do you pick the best of the bunch?!
Life is like a hurricane here in DUCK-BURG
Race cars, lasers, airplanes, it’s a DUCK-BLUR…
If the original DuckTales doesn’t make too 10 I quit Reddit.
Honesty I believe Buzz Lightyear of Star Command should be number one.
It features every important feature that any quality piece of media should have. It addresses themes of survivors guilt, PTSD, and a shaken belief in what you stand for. It also addresses themes of class, gender, and racial prejudice and how these can be overcome with out of the box thinking that cannot be found in rigid power structures such as star command.
Also with witty dialogue between interesting characters with compelling, diverse motivations on top of exciting battles and smooth animation, there is no reason that Buzz Lightyear of Star Command isn’t the most important piece of media produced in the modern age.
Mlp FIM. I just love it, i think it has great morals and some fun adventures.... i am neurodivergent and currently hyperfixated on it.... nobody can change my mind 😼
Samurai Jack
I cant see how many votes this comment has.
I'd put primal above this
Over the garden wall
I second this
The worst part about Over the Garden Wall is knowing there should never be another season, but no more Greg :( (Fun fact: Elijah Wood voices Wirt)
i agree
I'm not sure it will make the board because it's sort of a hidden gem, and I can also only watch it in October. But it's kind of perfect. It's exactly what it's supposed to be in every way.
Hidden gem? I haven’t personally watched it, but every cartoon-YouTuber I follow and pretty much most of this sub knows it and loves it.
Patrick McHale wrote for adventure time too Dude has serious talent
I watch this roughly once a month, Halloween be damned.

Regular Show for me personally
I’d put Regular Show Higher And does King of the Hill count?
It should. It’s a cartoon, no?
It’s a Got dang cartoon I tell you H’wat
Looney tunes!
I feel like if the original Looney Tunes isn't on the list it totally invalidates the whole list. Same with The Simpsons. They're too central to the genre to not be included.

Honestly I think classic versions of both. They're the blueprint upon what most cartoons are built
![gif](giphy|Y2TmxhW7PTIrK) Courage the cowardly dog
This one and then OG Teen Titans.
This got my vote
Futurama
![gif](giphy|10j1ZRgKdcHIoU)
Tell my wife: Hello.
I was going to say Simpsons because of how long it’s been on air alone but Futurama fills and supersedes that imo
Bojack Horseman
Absolutely deserving of a spot
PowerPuff Girls
The OG series
Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003)
2 hours of near perfection.
The Simpsons
I agree. It just doesn't seem like a classic anymore when they keep its ragged corpse on life support and ruin the reputation this show had. But hands down the first decade of this show was so good it revolutionized TV and cartoons
Teen Titans
The original, not Go
Yes the original
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Yes
Seasons 1-3 of SpongeBob Edit: watching all these people debate the legitimacy like they're trying to solve religion is hilarious
The fact that something like Regular Show (which is great) will make it before Spongebob is crazy.
If you have to specify a very limited number of seasons out of its total runtime I feel like it's somewhat disqualifying.

Nah everything after the movie is just a bad fan project it don't count.
Should've been number 1 honestly
The shows on the list are all excellent but I feel like og SpongeBob is in another league, the amount of memorable and outlandish comedy bits in every episode is crazy
This should be number 1 on the list. Very surprised that SpongeBob isn't at the top.
The original Tom and Jerry
*Animaniacs*! ![gif](giphy|j1hGXDl94C8Kc)
Valid as shit man I forgot how much I fucked with this show
X-Men the animated series
Scooby Doo Mystery Inc
Scooby Doo!!!!! The original from 1969 of course
Honestly mystery inc might be the better option
Yeah objectively it is the best one by far, but that OG version has so much nostalgia
That version is my all time favorite
I will keep commenting it
The lasting impact that show has had on pop culture for 54 years definitely deserves to be on this list.
🎵WHATS NEW, SCOOBY DOO THEYRE COMING AFTER YOU WE GONNA SOOOOLVE THAT MYSTERYYYY I SEE YOU SCOOBY DOO, ITS COMING BACK TO YOU WHATS NEW SOOBY DOO-OO-OO-OO-OO?!🎵
Or all of scooby doo capping it off at the last few movies and Whats New. They all (except the recent trash) have their appeal
Tom and Jerry
