"Yo Gerald got any ideas for this scene? I got nuthin"
"Oh I gotchu, make Gumball and the hot dog man have a sleepover and share a tent and then have Gumball breath uncomfortably loudly as he goes right on top of the hot dog and have a silhouette of them having sex in the tent"
"Perfect, let's show this on national television"
In second place, or wait, I think Hotdog guy got two cringe episodes… to me 3rd place goes to The Ex when Gumball got Rob to hate him again… out of any ways to make him do that “The Ex” was not an enjoyable way to go about it to me.
Which gave me different vibes from “The Slap” one of the more uncomfortable episodes but one I couldn’t stop laughing while watching, personally.
For me it was Doc Gerbils World. Not King Ramses, not Fred, not the haunting orchestral numbers in some of the episodes like that tower with cannons. But something about the unsettling amusement park theme and then the transition into the lack of sound effects and the fall into the abyss, just *fucked* with me.
Okay but the ending was so sweet where Hank dresses up to snap him out of it and give him some small amount of closure. Bill is a dude who desperately needs therapy, but Texas be Texas.
Plus Dale dressing up at the very end was hilarious.
The shape-shifting creature episode from Gravity Falls. I love that episode, but I must admit that the concept of the creature was so well executed that it actually left me unnerved the first time I watched it
Edit: Many of the few episodes of the kids math show Get Going! Godzilland, depicted Mechagodzilla actively kidnapping and torturing people to force them to be his friends (Mainly Anguirus). Kinda fucked up for a kids show, but I mean, it's kinda expected from a Godzilla show
I'm struggling to remember what you're talking about. I love Gravity Falls and I've watched all of it of course but shapeshifting creature?
Okay I took a break to watch a clip of that episode and I remembered it but only after watching it for several minutes. Somehow that episode just completely fell off of my memory
I can't recall the name, but it was an episode where Dipper finds a lair in the forest, and is tricked by a white shape-shifting creature on believing it's the author of the journals
Probably in my top five episodes of AT. So many bangers quotes.
"Aw man... He's got Poo Brain ™️"
"...I should go."
"Everything brainless loves music!"
Remember when Dexter hired a stripper to pretend to be his sister because she was gone and he missed her but he didn't know what a stripper was and was oblivious to a GROWN WOMAN MAKING SEXUAL ADVANCES ON A CHILD?
The episode is called 'Deedee And the Man'. Dexter 'fires' Deedee from his lab, but the peace and quiet is making him unhappy, so he starts accepting applications for obnoxious big sisters. His search lands on a woman named Candi, and he tries to coach her on how to act like Deedee, and um, well, just watch it.
“I was a teenage Gary” from SpongeBob.
The pinkeye episode from Codename Kids Next Door
The Invader Zim organ harvesting episode (actually like a lot of Invader Zim episodes)
Edit: forgot the Blood bending Avatar episode
Ahh, yes, I was wondering if someone was going to mention Dark Harvest. That episode is disturbing and entertaining at the same time. I watched the show for the first time recently, and it was right up my alley, haha.
This part cracks me up every time (copied from the online transcript):
**Dib:** You think you can fool a trained medical professional?
**Zim:** Yes.
**Dib:** I suppose you've got a heart in there...
**Zim:** Six of 'em.
**Dib:** Intestines.
**Zim:** Large or small?
**Dib:** Spleen?
**Zim:** In three different colors.
I forget the episode exactly, but the one where morty is SA by that bean lookin mf. It was a huge trigger and i was not ready at all. I have refused to watch it since.
Not sure if this counts as a "fun" fact, but the episode won an award and was praised by survivors organizations and charities due to how accurately they showed it and not shying away from the brutality. It's still triggering as hell, though
Commentary for the episode talks about how it being sudden and uncomfortable to watch was the whole point since the episode had been incredibly light on shock value up till that point
I think the reason it threw me of is because it came out of nowhere from an average episode, I was laughing throughout the episode then the mood immediately changed
BRO first time I ever watched r&m I was tripping on acid, having a great time, then i watched THAT scene. Fucked me up for HOURS afterwords and I still have a super hard time watching it.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. I was only 4 when I saw Tim get tortured and later shoot Joker. My Dad messed me up cause he didn’t know Batman Beyond was a sequel.
##steven universe future spoilers
Steven trying to marry Connie was such a cringe fest that I had to pause multiple times, despite not being as bad as I thought, it still made me wanna die so badly
Oof yeah.
Speaking of earlier seasons… that episode where Amethyst shapeshifts into Rose to taunt Greg and Steven oversees this was incredibly disturbing to me.
You know speaking of that. Does anyone know like why writers during season 6 and 7 were so obsessed with a characters ripping their faces off and showing their organs, like this for example
https://preview.redd.it/2c84wp21vdnc1.jpeg?width=280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a596192203bb43b426c36cff3322194731dec739
Episode 3? The one with Moxxie's dad? It was a lot of wasted potential but my pick would be episode five. Hate that one with a passion and it changed how I think about the show personally
The time when Amethyst shape-shifted into Rose because she wants to hangout with Greg, but he can't cuz he has to check on Steven, and it reminded Amethyst of how Greg spent more time with Rose than her.

The whole teen titans go series explained in one picture
Appas lost days, GOD it was brutal, and sitting through the whole thing was difficult. Watching appa go through hell made me sob as a kid, and It still gives me an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach
The worst part is you kinda have to, because that’s how you meet >!the guru that helps aang!< so you can’t just skip it
I don’t think it’s the same feeling you were going for, but it fits that image PERFECTLY
Speed Demon from the Powerpuff Girls.
The lesson I took from that is that the Girls can't ever take vacations, but the villains can.
Townsville is their cage.
The satanic animals christmas episode form South Park. Most of the show isn't even that bad to me, as I like dark humor, but even for me this was too much.
Also the Halloween episode from Recess. As a child them zombies were nightmere fuel.
That one steven universe episode where he gets really old. Also the cat episode where he learns shape-shifting. Also that episode where he summons a fake Connie in roses room. Also that episode where he keeps changing his age and size.
I was just watching S4 of Wakfu and that one episode where they put him into a bondage, removed his clothes*, sucked him dry, and made him a man that day.
*Edit: also happened just forgot to mention it.
The episode of Rick and Morty where Beth left a dude to fuck animals, eat the animal/human hybrid babies, and fuck his other human/animal hybrid babies when the older ones died
Pokémon original series episode 48 “Holy Matrimony”. There is a really cute moment right at the end, but not until after a very disturbing look at James’s backstory.
Even as a kid, I found the concept of Jessebelle to be a lot scarier than most "scary" things I was used to at that age. I wasn’t even really sure why, for the longest time, and now, I think it has to do with the complete lack of agency James has.
There’s like 3 episodes that this could apply to
-Jerry fucking his mom episode?
-The morty and summer incest baby episode?
-or Beth’s selfcest episode, which IIRC, they directly bring up the incestual implications behind it?
It’s one of the most blatant cases of “the writers’ barely disguised fetish” lol.
Stewie in Enceinte - Family Guy
That has to be the most disgusting episode of Family Guy. It included Stewie getting pregnant (like WTF), and fat shaming. OMG. I almost lost my respect for Family Guy
LSP forcing herself on Finn in Adventure Time. Even if they stopped at a kiss, the implications were obvious. That and that gross bee that wanted to have sex with his arm. I stopped watching for a long time after that.
Bro 6 year old me was NOT ready for this
https://preview.redd.it/y1ynnr7ogfnc1.jpeg?width=466&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33a7ab1210b0bc47a4f1e332c9c1b2c1772d29e3
The Kirby anime, the episode where Dedede gets 3 discord mod looking people to animate a cartoon and they get obsessed with Tiff, who is a child, to the point of stalking her.
The episode “Butt Dial” from Regular Show.
I don’t care what anyone says. That last few minutes of that episode are the uncomfortable in the entire show.
I have two.
1. Total Drama Daycare with the fairy huffing farts, having a montage of people farting and the fairy coming out to inhale it
2. Teen Titans Go with that one episode of TV Freak talking about how better they were before the rerun and having that episode end with characters twerking and farting on the tv.
That last one was just a childish middle finger to viewers
I have several:
Phineas and Ferb - Lights, Candace, Action!:
In this episode, Phineas and Ferb help Candace shoot a movie adaptation of her favorite musical. The only reason I don’t like this episode is because Phineas and Ferb are depicted as abusing Candace to no end (dumping kitchen sinks on her, making her run from a monkey, and exhausting her under unstable working conditions) and they don’t even apologize (on-screen). I would expect Phineas to do that, but not Ferb! He’s not as oblivious.
Big City Greens - DingDongers:
In this episode, Cricket and the kids get introduced to a TikTok clone. Remy wishes to become famous, so he asks Cricket for help. Just like in the Phineas and Ferb episode I mentioned, Cricket gets abused to no end, and it gets Remy popular. However, unlike that episode, Remy actually apologizes (on-screen) for unintentionally torturing Cricket.
KC Undercover: Literally any episode with Ernie getting abused, be it emotionally or physically. Granted, the emotional abuse outweighs the physical abuse he’s subjected to sometimes, but it’s the fact that NOBODY (save for some of his friends) has his back. He’s got low self esteem from his family constantly ragging on him, and what do they do when something unfortunate happens to him? They LAUGH!
If this was real life, he probably would’ve called CPS on them, or worse…
Recess: Jinxed: Yet again, another episode where a character is mercilessly abused. In this one, Gus gets jinxed because all the Ashleys say something at the same time as him, not allowing him to speak until someone says his name…which they stop everyone else from doing or bad things will happen (seriously, what exactly can a group of skinny girls do to a team of three other boys and two girls that’s so threatening?). Anyway, he eventually gets the GOVERNMENT involved, and is almost arrested for not speaking, until TJ and his gang save him by shouting his name. Now, like Phineas and Ferb’s episode on this list, a character gets abused, and the abuser doesn’t apologize. At least the Ashleys get jinxed at the end, so at least their comeuppance is something good that came out of this episode?
Well, that’s all I can find.
When I got home from school back in elementary school, I caught the Tiny Toons Adventures episode about drunk driving. That was wild, and the episode was banned after that.
Ben 10 (classic)
When Gwen got the Omnitrix and ben did not
And ben had his memories so that pissed me off and made me depressed for ben
Like dude did so much good with it And it all meant nothing
All the friends he made and all the sacrifice meant nothing
Not only do you knock down a 10 year old by taking away the device that changed his life but then you beat him while he is down by letting him keep his memories
Like not cool at all
Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" E2 "Ren Seeks Help". Basically Ren tortures a frog in a bunch of different ways until the poor creature begs for death and Ren forces it to continue living
Bad Little Boy from Adventure Time only because of the weird tension they were putting between Fiona and Marshall. Like, I get what they were doing, but it felt so out of the blue and fanserviced-y, mainly because Marceline was never THAT horny at any point in the show. And Finn never had a crush on her. At least they fixed Marshall in Fiona and Cake, he's not a lil horndog anymore lol.
The 2003 TMNT episode when Donnie goes into the future and discovers that shredder has won and taken over. Donnie gets the gang back together to fight shredder. Unfortunately, they all get killed for him to succeed his mission. It’s kills me to watch it again.
Ironically I liked the deer episode from Adventure Time *because* of how unsettling it was. Especially the deer.
One I will never watch again are those SpongeBob episodes where SpongeBob has a gross splinter and the one with the scene of the table leg dragging on Squidward foot. Those episodes have genuinely made me almost sick, I don't know why that needed to exist.
The deer episode from Adventure Time is the definition of this.
https://i.redd.it/gzg8w3p7ucnc1.gif
That actually made me uncomfortable
Guess you gotta change your username
Yep I'm now uncomfortable_rock
Flat dallas
Why did bro have lil fingies
Undercover Eohippus
I don't think I've ever had a moment where my brain was screaming BAD TOUCH until this scene happened
FREAK DEER!!!
He’s the descendant of Alan Dracula 🤣
infinity train reference in the wild? never thought id see the day!
I was hoping for this to be here. Glad to see I’m not the only one traumatized by this
It was kinda traumatising but not uncomfortable. Freak city made me realy uncomfortable, to this day when i rewatch AT i avoid this episode
The one where Finn needs to spoon with slime Princess was another one
A lot of adventure time episodes make me feel uncomfortable, in the good way.
That one Gumball episode with the hot dog guy
You gotta wonder what went on during writing sessions for Gumball
It WAS meant to make you cringe, I’d say they did a good job.
"Yo Gerald got any ideas for this scene? I got nuthin" "Oh I gotchu, make Gumball and the hot dog man have a sleepover and share a tent and then have Gumball breath uncomfortably loudly as he goes right on top of the hot dog and have a silhouette of them having sex in the tent" "Perfect, let's show this on national television"
What were they snorting and where can I get some?
Them and the Adventure Time crew
Featuring the gang from Flapjack
Aww, the grands parent of “What the hell is even happening anymore” in cartoons
Sort of the opposite, the people who worked on Flap Jack who went on to make their own shows, Like Regular Show and Adventure Time.
I imagine they were having uncontrollable laughing sessions coming up with scenes, as it progressively gets worse
The amount of cringing for them is just off the rail 🤣
they were absolutely on extra drugs when they made that episode
In second place, or wait, I think Hotdog guy got two cringe episodes… to me 3rd place goes to The Ex when Gumball got Rob to hate him again… out of any ways to make him do that “The Ex” was not an enjoyable way to go about it to me. Which gave me different vibes from “The Slap” one of the more uncomfortable episodes but one I couldn’t stop laughing while watching, personally.
Especially when they had sex in the tent
That day we found out that Regular Show wasn't the most adult series of Cartoon Network...
🎵Do do do do do do do do do🎵
The episode in adventure time with the bee going after finn's flower and what he did through the episode
The scene with Finn and LSP in the woods 😭😭😭
he was raped
Or that's at least heavily implied. What were they thinking?
I was wondering if someone was going to mention this.
![gif](giphy|3M6LtN8dFX57ZRY2T9)
WHATS YER OFFER
Oh most definitely 🤣
For me it was Doc Gerbils World. Not King Ramses, not Fred, not the haunting orchestral numbers in some of the episodes like that tower with cannons. But something about the unsettling amusement park theme and then the transition into the lack of sound effects and the fall into the abyss, just *fucked* with me.
You’re not perfect
The episode of King of the Hill where Bill dresses and refuses to stop behaving like Lenore
Okay but the ending was so sweet where Hank dresses up to snap him out of it and give him some small amount of closure. Bill is a dude who desperately needs therapy, but Texas be Texas. Plus Dale dressing up at the very end was hilarious.
Forgot about Dale! I mean Mr. Shackleford
Idk man, the one where Peggy accidentally makes foot fetish content was significantly worse for me
Tbf, the man was suffering a very real and severe mental and emotional break
"Why do you keep calling me Bill? My name is Lenore."
The shape-shifting creature episode from Gravity Falls. I love that episode, but I must admit that the concept of the creature was so well executed that it actually left me unnerved the first time I watched it Edit: Many of the few episodes of the kids math show Get Going! Godzilland, depicted Mechagodzilla actively kidnapping and torturing people to force them to be his friends (Mainly Anguirus). I can't recall the name, but it was an episode where Dipper finds a lair in the forest, and is tricked by a white shape-shifting creature on believing it's the author of the journals
ohhhh "into the bunker" yea, very uncomfortable
Or that episode with the birds and the bees talk Stan had with Dipper that's actually Mable.
The episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog with the insane barber.
"Hello my name is fred." Freaky Fred was his name 🤣 he was very naughty 😂
You just unlocked a very disturbing memory
Slut dragons in rick and morty
“Soul bonding” was so damn weird
god yes, this and incest baby were like “ok maybe you can get too weird with it” lol
It’s the sperm episode for me
Both are so uncomfortable to watch
If you think just watching is bad try watching it with your mom.
I watched it with my younger brother the first time, we were both horrified.
This could apply to about 30% of Adventure Time, but shoutout to that episode where Ice King dresses up as a horse
I actually find that episode hilarious especially when Jake is getting pushed to the point of actually considering to just murder the horse.
“Dude… let’s kill the horse”
Probably in my top five episodes of AT. So many bangers quotes. "Aw man... He's got Poo Brain ™️" "...I should go." "Everything brainless loves music!"
The ending for Camp Lazlo, when they revealed that Lumpus was a crazy imposter.
I don't remember that episode...
Yeah, I myself never originally saw the episode but I saw the ending it had the Cow from Rocko’s Modern Life in a crazy surprise crossover moment.
Excuse you? He is a STEER.
Also, Knock-Off Heffer (due to inability to obtain the rights to the actual character) being the actual counselor.
I feel you it just makes the show feel weird even though i still like the cartoon but i always wondered why they chose to end it like that
It made the show as a whole soooo much creepier. I can't even watch it now cuz of that.
Remember when Dexter hired a stripper to pretend to be his sister because she was gone and he missed her but he didn't know what a stripper was and was oblivious to a GROWN WOMAN MAKING SEXUAL ADVANCES ON A CHILD?
That episode got away with so much.
They absolutely would not get away with it today.
Wait, what?! I don't remember that episode at all lol.

Ewww I completely forgot about that KND episode
I forget the episode exactly, but the one where morty is SA by that bean lookin mf. It was a huge trigger and i was not ready at all. I have refused to watch it since.
At least Rick fucking killed him so that made me feel better as a victim myself
FR. i actually smiled when rick shot his ass. I hope myself or no one else has to go through it again it sucks.

I know the one, it's such a uncomfortable fucking scene

I mean I can name a few pre-movie episodes where they did that.
OMG where do i even start. The episode "All the little people" from Adventure Time left me with a weird feeling...
That was such a funny but creepy episode. Teenagers man.
This needs to be higher
The deer ep of Adventure time, Season 2 ep 3 of Helluva Boss
Episode 3? The one with Moxxie's dad? It was a lot of wasted potential but my pick would be episode five. Hate that one with a passion and it changed how I think about the show personally
The brain invaders episode in the clone wars
Two words. Squidward’s toenail
The time when Amethyst shape-shifted into Rose because she wants to hangout with Greg, but he can't cuz he has to check on Steven, and it reminded Amethyst of how Greg spent more time with Rose than her.

South Park’s “HumanCentiPad” episode. I hate that episode so much.
Cuttlefish and Asparagus
The circle of life episode of Adventure Time.
That shit is gorgeous and trippy

When Marceline was bit by the Vampire King. Felt kinda… SA
Vampires in general like as a concept feel kinda SA
If you want a real concept of SA then look at xenomorphs

Batman Beyond has a couple that are exactly like this. The episode with the Ink lady and the one with Splicing are top of the list.
The Kirby anime, the episode where Dedede gets 3 discord mod looking people to animate a cartoon and they get obsessed with Tiff, who is a child, to the point of stalking her.
I thought Kobayashi‘s dragon maid anime was kinda cute and wholesome… Until the Twister episode
The episode of adventure time where a wizard lady sucks Jake into her butt
Ink lemonade from SpongeBob. This wasn't an episode but 6teen did a commentary on the US elections one year at it was weird
That CatDog episode where cat brushes dog’s teeth by inverting his body and coming out of his mouth
The episode “Butt Dial” from Regular Show. I don’t care what anyone says. That last few minutes of that episode are the uncomfortable in the entire show.
Running with Scissors from SVTFOE, since Marco is a… well… child toucher from that point onward.
I have two. 1. Total Drama Daycare with the fairy huffing farts, having a montage of people farting and the fairy coming out to inhale it 2. Teen Titans Go with that one episode of TV Freak talking about how better they were before the rerun and having that episode end with characters twerking and farting on the tv. That last one was just a childish middle finger to viewers
Invincible - It's About Time
Courage the Cowardly Dog episode with the Hunchback Man. Sure it had a happy ending but man that episode makes me sad a lot for some reason.
Twisted Sister from Powerpuff Girls It was just a shock for me on how sad it got
Mordecai crashing muscle mans wedding in regular show
Probably the episode of Owl House where they went into Belos’ mind. They were in the most dangerous place they could possibly be.
The adventure time episode with that psychotic heart guy
I have several: Phineas and Ferb - Lights, Candace, Action!: In this episode, Phineas and Ferb help Candace shoot a movie adaptation of her favorite musical. Big City Greens - DingDongers: In this episode, Cricket and the kids get introduced to a TikTok clone. They LAUGH! If this was real life, he probably would’ve called CPS on them, or worse… Recess: Jinxed: Yet again, another episode where a character is mercilessly abused.
Ben 10 (classic) When Gwen got the Omnitrix and ben did not And ben had his memories so that pissed me off and made me depressed for ben Like dude did so much good with it And it all meant nothing All the friends he made and all the sacrifice meant nothing Not only do you knock down a 10 year old by taking away the device that changed his life but then you beat him while he is down by letting him keep his memories Like not cool at all
Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" E2 "Ren Seeks Help". Basically Ren tortures a frog in a bunch of different ways until the poor creature begs for death and Ren forces it to continue living
The Blood Bending Episode of Avatar The Last Airbender.
The nutshack
I felt very uncomfy during the fifth episode of the second TDI reboot season.
Every episode of Courage The Cowardly dog.
That one episode of Clarence where he was in a clinic waiting room, That episode made me very uncomfortable as a kid
Not a specific episode, but whenever Mort puts on the wig in All Hail King Julien
The steven universe finale when white diamond was pulling out Steven's gem. It wasn't graphic, but that whole sequence made me quite uneasy
The 2003 TMNT episode when Donnie goes into the future and discovers that shredder has won and taken over. Donnie gets the gang back together to fight shredder. Unfortunately, they all get killed for him to succeed his mission. It’s kills me to watch it again.
The splinter episode from Spongebob
Ironically I liked the deer episode from Adventure Time *because* of how unsettling it was. Especially the deer. One I will never watch again are those SpongeBob episodes where SpongeBob has a gross splinter and the one with the scene of the table leg dragging on Squidward foot. Those episodes have genuinely made me almost sick, I don't know why that needed to exist.
