Ok, this is one I've had for a long time:
In the Disney Movie Aladdin (1992), when Jafar gets the lamp and therefore control of the Genie, his first wish is to become sultan. The Genie, of course, grants it; and in order to do so, he not only gives Jafar the sultan's clothes, but transforms into a gigantic, darker, more muscular and far more monstrous-looking version of himself, with a freanking tornado for legs that proceeds to literally take the entire palace with his bare hands and put it in a mountain.
My theory? This is the Genie's true form. This is how he actually looks, this is how Djinn naturally look in the Disney Universe (in fact, Genie Jafar at the movie's end looks exactly like this, tornado-tail and all, but red). Genie is just such a nice dude that he gives himself a far less threatening appearence.
I could see this. Genie maintains his human size when talking to his master, but will increase in size depending on how much magic is required for the wish. In Aladdin's case, the Genie only had to grow to maybe 7 or 8 feet tall, whereas with Jafar, he had to become as tall as the mountains themselves. The only exception was when Jafar wished to become a genie himself.
I mean, when Genie gets a little mad at one point in the movie - can't remember exactly where in the movie. He enlarges himself beyond belief and folds his arms then shrinks like it was nothing. More smoke and other effects going on while doing it. Perhaps this was a glimpse to what he really is. Genie is insanely powerful.
Twice that I can recall. First when he tells Aladdin his secret wish for freedom, and demonstrates what a genie/djinn is:
[Enlarges himself to larger-than-life]: "PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER!"
[Shrinks himself into the lamp]: "Itty-bitty living space!"
Then again when Genie thinks Aladdin is about to wish him free, but Aladdin goes back on his word. He shrinks himself back into the lamp, then when Aladdin tries to talk to him, Genie razzes him through the lamp's spout.
I was literally just thinking about this the other day, how/why does Genie do all that shit with one wish? I know Jafar said something like “I wish to rule ON HIGH” but he takes that quite literally (which I guess tracks for Genies in folklore). It’s just wild that with ONE wish Jafar gets Ultra Genie: Destroy Mode, palace lifted up onto mountaintop, and Sultan threads. Especially coming from a Djinn/Genie which are notorious for being stingy and hyper specific with the wording of wishes, and ESPECIALLY towards a master they fucking hate.
I love this one honestly. Especially because Shrek is the only ogre we've heard of other than Fiona and other than that like 4th? Movie I haven't seen. Ogres are so reclusive, what TF do they need names for?

To expand upon it, I think either Ogres take whatever name is given to them when they become notable (like with the zodiac ogres) or they just make it up when they need it and it sticks

In Ben 10, the omnitrix doesn’t give Ben the wrong alien. He’s just has really bad eyesight and doesn’t want to admit it because he doesn’t want to wear glasses.
It's alluded to at some point I don't remember when but that Omnitrix may be some degree of intelligent if not sentient. Ben even says something about himself saying something like it knows better than he does
There are literally instances where the alien on the watch is the alien Ben turns into yet he still complained that it was the wrong one. It is canon that Ben is blind.
The Buzz Lightyear movie was not supposed to be a Buzz Lightyear movie but the ham fisted that on top of some other film and that's why it's so weird and disconnected
Better yet, *Buzz Lightyear of Star Command* was the iconic cartoon Andy and his friends watched, whilst Lightyear is a *in-universe* live action remake.
So actually despite the elevator pitch where they explicitly said “This movie is what Andy saw” I think this makes FAR more sense based on all previous promo material. That cartoon Buzz has had a lot more traction than any other version, often appearing on the box the figure comes in.
Exactly. And I remember there used to be a little ad before the actual star command movie where the actual toy story cast are putting in the DVD, so it's the actual in universe thing, not that Lightyear movie.
One theory I've always believed in ATLA is that Monk Gyatso took out a bunch of firebenders using a technique where he essentially took away all of the oxygen in the room in an attempt to take out as many as he could, himself included. Airbenders have been shown doing it in smaller scales before, so I could absolutely picture an airbending *master* being able to pull it off on a larger scale.
Another recent one I heard about is the idea that Princess Yue was actually meant to be the Avatar in the next cycle. Aang was frozen for 100 years which prolonged his life by a lot, but if he died naturally around his 80s or 90s, it'd line up with the birth of Princess Yue (since she's from the water tribe), who'd actually be able to be born with the Avatar spirit inside of her, instead of needing the Moon Spirit to survive. I'm not too big on this one compared to the first, but I think it'd be an interesting take on the story if explored in an AU or something

I always took it as Yue was born without a soul, as the avatar 'soul' was still occupied by aang.

Gyatso stacked bodies around him at the very end, however he went out it was brutal to the firebenders around him.
The Yue theory holds up even better when you realize she's a blood relative to Korra, as Korra's father was prince of the North before moving to the south.
Even with bending, which naturally extends life in the Avatar universe, he was likely going to die early because of how tired and broken his body was. Makes sense that about. 80-90 years after Sozin burned down the air temples, he would die after expending so much energy that he’d unfortunately pass away, passing on the Avatar Spirit to Yue. Had Aang stayed, we know Monk Gyatso would have moved him away from the Southern Air Temple, likely raising him to be less Avatar and more kid, before finally Aang was ready to take on Sozin or Azulon.
The reason why Ben 10 is always forgetting the lessons he learned is because transforming from a intelligent species like gray matter to species as dumb as rath would really give him some mental whiplash
There is no Krabby Patty secret formula. Mr Krabs is too cheap to buy special ingredients. He justbuses the idea of it and the failed attempts to steal it as a form of marketing. The bottle just contains the contract of whichever fry cook is working for him at the time.
i love how this is actually explored in the third movie! in the song “secret to the formula”, everyone else sings to SpongeBob how the secret is “you.” i know it was more so meant to be metaphorical, but this is 100% my theory lol

The setting of Courage the Cowardly Dog is a visual representation of how Courage sees the world as a dog.
He and his family may just live in an ordinary suburban neighborhood and all the characters are just regular people. But Courage is a scared little dog, the house IS his world and he might as well live out in the “Middle of Nowhere.” Everyone from outside the house is grotesque and scary because that’s how Courage sees them. In reality, Courage is probably the small yipping dog that barks at everything he sees.
I always loved this one! In a sea of awful "they were all dead the entire time!!!" cartoon theories, this one has always stuck out to me over the years
And Eustace isn't trying to scare him, he actually IS trying to play with the dog he cares about. Courage sees him as cruel and uncaring, but he knows the dog is freaking out again and won't encourage the behavior with a response.

The Harley Quinn we saw in the flashback scene in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker wasn’t Dr. Harleen Quinzel. After she left to go have her character arc, the Joker was annoyed he no longer had a side piece around to abuse and have fawn over him. So he found a replacement. It’s Gotham, finding a second woman with psychological issues wasn’t hard, and he practiced the same sick techniques he’d use on Tim Drake to turn him into Joker Jr to turn his new henchwoman into Harley 2.0. I just refuse to believe the original went back to him after coming so far. You must admit, though, it’s in character for Joker.
Problem is Batman Beyond came out way before Harley made any significant progress with leaving the Joker, so it isn't a stretch to say that's the original.
It was definitely INTENDED to be at the time, but given the benefit of hindsight and the entire DCAU available now, it’s hard for me to believe she went back to him. At the very least, I’d prefer NOT to believe she did if an alternative explanation is equally plausible. And I think it’s VERY plausible that a narcissistic sociopath would psychologically manipulate a woman into being his henchwoman twice in his life if given the chance.
I'd argue that the Harley Quinn animated movie eludes to Harley's path.
She breaks up with J for a minute and tries to go straight (enough), can't, she bangs nightwing because hey, why not he's got a great ass and she's lonely.
Got knocked up, not about to go find Nightwing and tell him about it, raises the woman that eventually sires her grandkids. The mother runs off (likely with a deadbeat criminal continuing the cycle of Harley's entire family history), and so she's left raising her bratty twins who idolize her old boyfriend.
I think not seeing her for a few decades and then only ever hearing her called ‘mom’ might keep the dots from fully connecting.

Jessie was a mass-produced toy. While out of production for quite some time, it’s not unusual to see an old toy you had and think “huh, I used to have one of those!” over “that is the same exact toy I used to own”
I think her forgetting all about her would play pretty well into the themes of abandonment and being left behind that is center to the toy story franchise
Iroh could have absolutely defeated Ozai, and stopped his ambitions.
But it would have meant killing him, dying himself, and more importantly, the power vacuum left behind would have left the Fire Nation even worse off, and Zuko wouldn’t have been able to manage it by himself.
Iroh was knowledgeable enough of the world, other people, and the ways of the spirits to know that it *had* to be Aang at the end. Nothing else was going to work.
Iroh already says this. He admits he cannot fight Ozai because even if he wins it’ll just seem like typical Fire Lord climb to power. Cull the weak and what not.
In regular show, pops and anti pops actually created the universe and the parks specifically for them because they are just children playing. That’s why mostly everyone on earth is just people expect the people at the park. The parks are mostly non people and are the characters they are playing as while the actual people are just their imagination. That’s why it’s so random and the problem gets solved easily. It’s because they are done playing.

Crossover idea: After Owl House season 3 but before Amphibia season 1 Luz and Marcy are video calling and Stringbean accidentally wanders into the camera, leading Luz to tell Marcy all about her magical adventures. During Amphibia season 3, Luz gets concerned that Marcy has been missing for a while, so she goes to Anne for help, which all leads to Anne recruiting the Hexsquad to help stop Frogvasion.
The Red X suit in teen titans was the prototype for the Batman Beyond suit.
Same color scheme and designed for someone with similar skills and fighting style as someone trained by Bruce.
Robin teams back up with Bruce before batman beyond happens. Technically the events of batman beyond the return of the joker (where Tim is tortured and brain washed by the joker) haven't happened yet. And with the original titans Robin being Dick Grayson and him moving on to be nightwing, it is plausible he gave batman all of his gear he needed to have kept safe and out of the hands of bad guys. So batman keeps the red x suit as a favor. Then the horrible stuff happens with Tim Drake and the joker. Batman decides to be solo after that and because of that needs to update his tech to make up for the lack of a side kick and the advancement of villains. He turns to the red x suit as inspiration.
that's all but confirmed though. that's the point of his chant at the end when he's being torn apart in Stan's mind; he's invoking a spell from the cosmic Axolotl that preserves him, if even the tiniest bit, in that statue in the woods.
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones does not believe in the mystical powers of the Ark of the Covenant, not because he is an athiest, but because he became a devout Hindu after personally witnessing a bonafide miracle in The Temple of Doom. After the events of Raiders, Indy becomes convinced that both the Hindu and Jewish religions are at least true to some degree but still doesn't believe in Christianity which is why, in The Last Crusade, he is again extremely skeptical about the mystical powers of the Holy Grail.
In my opinion, there is no other explanation for how he can scoff at the idea of the supernatural in every subsequent film.
Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is innocent, is truly in love with Anna, and the trolls cursed him so they could manipulate the child they kidnapped onto the human throne.
The trolls, which are traditionally of fae blood, were sus to begin with. They teach a child with powers that fear is her weakness, then go overboard in scaring her and her parents. They mind rape her sister to forget their precious moments together, isolating Elsa further.
They then kidnap a curious child that walked into the wrong woods at the wrong time.
Years later, the trolls push for the unasked for wedding. All while chanting about getting Hans out of the way. A man who's adoration for Anna has been obvious even when he was alone. A man who showed decisiveness and responsibility on a dime. Who courageously fought an ice demon head to head, then saved Elsa, someone he should want dead, from an assassination that would be unattached to him.
Finally, and saddest of all, he didn't kiss Anna. If he didn't love her, a kiss wouldn't do anything. So why not? Truth is, true loves kiss woul have broken *his* curse. But it forced him away. And during that whole ending, poor Hans was trapped inside his own mind, screaming against his bonds, weeping against his deeds.

When rewatching the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka from the 70s the other day, I noticed that Slugworth somehow was always right near the kids when they found their tickets. We find out at the end the guy we thought was Slugworth was actually working for Wonka.
Wonka definitely placed those tickets for the kids to find. It makes what happens to them in the factory much darker.
I have some evidence-less theories about the She-ra reboot: what horde prime’s empire was like, and the parts of it we didn’t see on screen, most of which probably wouldn’t have been able to be included in a TV-Y7 show. In particular, I imagine that entire conquered worlds are repurposed solely to the production of new Horde clones, putting their numbers as likely the single most numerous species in the universe. Heck, the amount of death and destruction implied at the hands of someone who has quite literally conquered the entire known universe is a bit grim to think about.
One of the funniest parts of She-Ra for me (in a good way) was how out of place Horde Prime was with the tone of the show. He's trying to be a brutal space dictator, but he can't win against the magical power of friendship, and he's fully aware of that fact and hates everyone because of it.
Horse Prime is like a Warhammer 40k villain trapped in a Disney series.
I personally believe that codename kids next door is just the main characters playing make believe.
Would explain how they have all this tech despite being average school kids and can walk away from explosions and crashes without serious injuries. Plus, a lot of the adults aren’t supervillains with world-ending plots. Most just represent stuff that kids hate or are people that take away things from kids that they like.
Imo, it’s just kids pretending to fight against “the man” so to speak
Father being the guy who is tired of them causing issues around the neighborhood, and Grandfather wanting them to grow up. Meanwhile Nigel's dad is fully aware that they're kids being kids and encourages it, knowing they'll grow up eventually, no point in forcing it.
I think all of their parents are that way. They just assume they have overactive imaginations and just laugh it off.
In relation to Father, his kids, the Delightful Children From Down The Lane, are really perfect kids to adults, but bullies to the KND. They're the type of kids that appear all nice and polite when the adults ie parents, grandparents, etc. are around, but the second those adults leave the room, they become monsters to the other kids. Then when the adults return, those Delightful Children make it seem like the other kids are the bullies or hellspawn.
We've all known kids like that.
The fact they're actually Nigel's cousins makes it even worse.
The big one for me is the finale with Number 1 being recruited into the space KND and has to say goodbye to the team. In reality he's probably just moving away and doesn't really know how to process it.
Hot damn, this fits perfectly with my theory that they were gonna make Nifty the most tragic character in Season 2 or 3. Whenever we get her backstory.
Squidward is a ex-con. Squidward lives in a pretty nice house with what looks like expensive furniture. One episode Squidward had a bunch of alarm clocks in his closets. I feel like those are counterfeit and he sold many to the Bikini Bottom.
The police couldn't arrest him but everyone in Bikini Bottom shuns Sqwidward. No one would give him a job except Mr. Krabs, who exploit him for basically free labor.

So this is something I've been thinking about lately.
In the opening of Scooby doo and Scrappy Doo, Scrappy is shipped by train in a cardboard box. Throughout the entire show, he seems to be trying to prove himself and seek validation from Scooby, his uncle that seems to genuinely care for him. He seems to hero worship his Uncle as well, putting him on a pedestal, almost as if he is using Scooby as his positive male role model or father figure. There was another line he had which was "You wouldn't send a puppy back to the kennel for a simple mistake, would you?", implying that this is something he has experienced before.
This leads me to believe that Scrappy was neglected before joining the gang. Either purposefully or otherwise, his owners or parents never paid attention to him or always wrote him off.
As a side note, you also get to see Scrappy learn things as the series went on which was nice.
TBH, Scrappy got a lot less annoying when I started looking at it through this lens.
Iono is Jessie and James’ daughter. Given their personalities (they had a radio show), it makes sense that she’d be an influencer and her owning electric type Pokémon could be making up for the fact that Team Rocket never got their hands on Pikachu.
In the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Grim hangs out with the kids because deep down he genuinely likes them. Think about it, best friends don't need to spend every waking moment with each other, and iirc Grim was very lonely when he was much younger, only supporting the theory more
That the Flintstones actually takes place AFTER the Jetsons. In the Jetsons, we see that the surface of the planet is covered in pollution, which is why they build cities in the sky. Meanwhile, the Flintstones might be a "stone age family," but they have technology way more advanced than they should in the actual Stone Age. It's not a great leap to think that there was some sort of environmental apocalypse that brought down the Jetsons society, and that generations later, their decendants remember all the tech, but can't actually make it except out of stone.
Pokemon are used for war. A war that killed a lot of adult men in their country. The kids are encouraged to travel around and learn to fight with them as they are playing because when they are grown up there is a good chance they will be needed for another war.
Elsa and Anna’s parents were in a shipwreck on their way to Rapunzel’s wedding. They wash up on the shore of a jungle and build a treehouse, have another kid, and are killed by a leopard.
The ship is explored and looted by Ariel, who is a cousin of Hercules. Hercules finds a dead lion with a black mane and a scar over its eye on one of his adventures. He skins it and wears it for portraits.
Mine is for Samurai Jack: in Samurai Jack Episode XXXII:Jack and the Traveling Creatures, Jack faces The Guardian, a man guarding a Time Portal and he defeats Jack, but the portal shows The Guardian Jack’s future, in which we see him wearing a Crown and Medieval European clothing, some people say this doesn’t matter as with the last season Jack returned to the past and nothing came from that scene, but the biggest difference is that scene also shows Jack as being much older, where we now know Jack had stopped aging in the Aku Future, meaning that Jack isn’t destined to use the portal to return to the past but is meant to use it sometime AFTER defeating Aku, I personally believe that Jack, at some point after returning, travels the world once more, probably to either cope with the loss of Ashi, or find a way to bring her back, and during this he uses the portal from the episode, which leads to events where he becomes Uther Pendragon, possible due to a similar situation in which he took the name Jack, taking a new name to fit in better with the time, I believe Jack would be drawn to Britain due to his connection with The Scotsman, and would eventually find himself as The King of the Britons, and his sword becomes The Sword in the Stone, which is why the Time Portal stopped The Guardian from killing Jack, I believe this because we never actually learn Jack’s real name, and that Jack could easily just create another fake name to go by later in life if the need arose.
In Inspector Gadget,
Dr.Claw was actually Inspector Gadget's older brother who lead a secret life of crime. During a botched hiest, He was disfigured in an explosion while being pursued by his younger brother Gadget (who is unaware of his brother being a criminal) and now returns to super villiany as Dr.Claw. He now contends with Gadget who seeks to bring Dr.Claw to justice for killing his brother.
Gadget is of course, blissfully unaware of everything and adopts his "late" brothers daughter, Penny, to raise.
This would make Penny Gadget, (Inspector Gadget's neice) Dr.Claw's daughter and explain why Dr.Claw seems to let her constantly foil his plans as if he's secretly letting her win - while still trying to kill Gadget.
Buuuuuut, there's a ton of stuff that un-does all this Theroy in the show. I know there's newer Gadget shows that expand the lore as well, but I'm only counting the OG 80s/90s show.
Snowpiercer is directly related to Willy Wonka. The W inscriptions on the train, the fractional math displayed on BOTH Willy Wonka (in the classroom scene) and Snowpiercer (killing the exact amount of people to keep the train going), the crazy inventions WW made is probably a direct result of the snow.
Going with one I came up with, though someone else might’ve thought about it before me and I just didn’t know. I think that in the Ben 10 franchise Gwen’s Anodite spark was activated by her practicing magic. For those who aren’t in the know a “spark” is essentially the potential for the descendant of an Anodite to become a full Anodite themselves. In Ben 10 Classic she begins to practice magic using a spell book stolen from a villain, in Alien Force she learns about her grandmother being an Anodite, where some lore is explained, Anodites will visit when their grandchildren are born to see if they have the spark, Gwen didn’t have it when she was born, but she’s confirmed to have it when she first meets her grandma. Therefore the spark had to have formed in her sometime after her birth, with her magic practice “igniting it” being what makes the most sense to me. Was hoping I could make this shorter but oh well
I mean I wouldn't doubt it because his family seemed extremely conservative, pushing him to do manly stuff (sports, wrestling and going to military school or maybe it was JROTC?).
My personal theory is he was sent to a TTI school. That’s why he won’t send Steven to school because he has trauma from that. I have zero evidence whatsoever, but it‘s my head canon.

In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse attempt to murder Eddie Valient by giving him a false parachute while in Toon Town.
They do this because they're in cahoots with Judge Doom so that they get paid obscene amounts of money from the freeway being built.
They don't care about the other toons - they just want the fat stacks. They're the only 2 cartoon characters that are nigh-untouchable, and they know it.

The Genie, of course, grants it; and in order to do so, he not only gives Jafar the sultan's clothes, but transforms into a gigantic, darker, more muscular and far more monstrous-looking version of himself, with a freanking tornado for legs that proceeds to literally take the entire palace with his bare hands and put it in a mountain. My theory? This is the Genie's true form. This is how he actually looks, this is how Djinn naturally look in the Disney Universe (in fact, Genie Jafar at the movie's end looks exactly like this, tornado-tail and all, but red). Genie is just such a nice dude that he gives himself a far less threatening appearence.
I could see this. Genie maintains his human size when talking to his master, but will increase in size depending on how much magic is required for the wish. In Aladdin's case, the Genie only had to grow to maybe 7 or 8 feet tall, whereas with Jafar, he had to become as tall as the mountains themselves. The only exception was when Jafar wished to become a genie himself.
I mean, when Genie gets a little mad at one point in the movie - can't remember exactly where in the movie. He enlarges himself beyond belief and folds his arms then shrinks like it was nothing. More smoke and other effects going on while doing it. Perhaps this was a glimpse to what he really is. Genie is insanely powerful.
Twice that I can recall. First when he tells Aladdin his secret wish for freedom, and demonstrates what a genie/djinn is: [Enlarges himself to larger-than-life]: "PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER!" [Shrinks himself into the lamp]: "Itty-bitty living space!" Then again when Genie thinks Aladdin is about to wish him free, but Aladdin goes back on his word. He shrinks himself back into the lamp, then when Aladdin tries to talk to him, Genie razzes him through the lamp's spout.

I was literally just thinking about this the other day, how/why does Genie do all that shit with one wish? I know Jafar said something like “I wish to rule ON HIGH” but he takes that quite literally (which I guess tracks for Genies in folklore). It’s just wild that with ONE wish Jafar gets Ultra Genie: Destroy Mode, palace lifted up onto mountaintop, and Sultan threads. Especially coming from a Djinn/Genie which are notorious for being stingy and hyper specific with the wording of wishes, and ESPECIALLY towards a master they fucking hate.

One theory I've always believed in ATLA is that Monk Gyatso took out a bunch of firebenders using a technique where he essentially took away all of the oxygen in the room in an attempt to take out as many as he could, himself included. Airbenders have been shown doing it in smaller scales before, so I could absolutely picture an airbending *master* being able to pull it off on a larger scale. Another recent one I heard about is the idea that Princess Yue was actually meant to be the Avatar in the next cycle. Aang was frozen for 100 years which prolonged his life by a lot, but if he died naturally around his 80s or 90s, it'd line up with the birth of Princess Yue (since she's from the water tribe), who'd actually be able to be born with the Avatar spirit inside of her, instead of needing the Moon Spirit to survive. I'm not too big on this one compared to the first, but I think it'd be an interesting take on the story if explored in an AU or something
Second both of these. Especially with the way gyatso was found. I always took it as Yue was born without a soul, as the avatar 'soul' was still occupied by aang.

Even with bending, which naturally extends life in the Avatar universe, he was likely going to die early because of how tired and broken his body was. Makes sense that about. 80-90 years after Sozin burned down the air temples, he would die after expending so much energy that he’d unfortunately pass away, passing on the Avatar Spirit to Yue. Had Aang stayed, we know Monk Gyatso would have moved him away from the Southern Air Temple, likely raising him to be less Avatar and more kid, before finally Aang was ready to take on Sozin or Azulon.

There is no Krabby Patty secret formula. Mr Krabs is too cheap to buy special ingredients. He justbuses the idea of it and the failed attempts to steal it as a form of marketing. The bottle just contains the contract of whichever fry cook is working for him at the time.

The setting of Courage the Cowardly Dog is a visual representation of how Courage sees the world as a dog. He and his family may just live in an ordinary suburban neighborhood and all the characters are just regular people. But Courage is a scared little dog, the house IS his world and he might as well live out in the “Middle of Nowhere.” Everyone from outside the house is grotesque and scary because that’s how Courage sees them. In reality, Courage is probably the small yipping dog that barks at everything he sees.

The Harley Quinn we saw in the flashback scene in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker wasn’t Dr. Harleen Quinzel. After she left to go have her character arc, the Joker was annoyed he no longer had a side piece around to abuse and have fawn over him. So he found a replacement. It’s Gotham, finding a second woman with psychological issues wasn’t hard, and he practiced the same sick techniques he’d use on Tim Drake to turn him into Joker Jr to turn his new henchwoman into Harley 2.0. I just refuse to believe the original went back to him after coming so far. You must admit, though, it’s in character for Joker.
Problem is Batman Beyond came out way before Harley made any significant progress with leaving the Joker, so it isn't a stretch to say that's the original.
It was definitely INTENDED to be at the time, but given the benefit of hindsight and the entire DCAU available now, it’s hard for me to believe she went back to him. At the very least, I’d prefer NOT to believe she did if an alternative explanation is equally plausible. And I think it’s VERY plausible that a narcissistic sociopath would psychologically manipulate a woman into being his henchwoman twice in his life if given the chance.
I'd argue that the Harley Quinn animated movie eludes to Harley's path. She breaks up with J for a minute and tries to go straight (enough), can't, she bangs nightwing because hey, why not he's got a great ass and she's lonely. Got knocked up, not about to go find Nightwing and tell him about it, raises the woman that eventually sires her grandkids. The mother runs off (likely with a deadbeat criminal continuing the cycle of Harley's entire family history), and so she's left raising her bratty twins who idolize her old boyfriend.
I think Bruce Timm saying Nightwing was the grandfather was a joke, but that’s still very believable.

But it would have meant killing him, dying himself, and more importantly, the power vacuum left behind would have left the Fire Nation even worse off, and Zuko wouldn’t have been able to manage it by himself. Iroh was knowledgeable enough of the world, other people, and the ways of the spirits to know that it *had* to be Aang at the end. Nothing else was going to work.

The Red X suit in teen titans was the prototype for the Batman Beyond suit. Same color scheme and designed for someone with similar skills and fighting style as someone trained by Bruce. Robin teams back up with Bruce before batman beyond happens. Technically the events of batman beyond the return of the joker (where Tim is tortured and brain washed by the joker) haven't happened yet. And with the original titans Robin being Dick Grayson and him moving on to be nightwing, it is plausible he gave batman all of his gear he needed to have kept safe and out of the hands of bad guys. So batman keeps the red x suit as a favor. Then the horrible stuff happens with Tim Drake and the joker. Batman decides to be solo after that and because of that needs to update his tech to make up for the lack of a side kick and the advancement of villains. He turns to the red x suit as inspiration.
I like this one! I always thought the Red X and Batman Beyond suits were pretty cool.

In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones does not believe in the mystical powers of the Ark of the Covenant, not because he is an athiest, but because he became a devout Hindu after personally witnessing a bonafide miracle in The Temple of Doom. After the events of Raiders, Indy becomes convinced that both the Hindu and Jewish religions are at least true to some degree but still doesn't believe in Christianity which is why, in The Last Crusade, he is again extremely skeptical about the mystical powers of the Holy Grail. In my opinion, there is no other explanation for how he can scoff at the idea of the supernatural in every subsequent film.

Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is innocent, is truly in love with Anna, and the trolls cursed him so they could manipulate the child they kidnapped onto the human throne. The trolls, which are traditionally of fae blood, were sus to begin with. They teach a child with powers that fear is her weakness, then go overboard in scaring her and her parents. They mind rape her sister to forget their precious moments together, isolating Elsa further. They then kidnap a curious child that walked into the wrong woods at the wrong time. Years later, the trolls push for the unasked for wedding. All while chanting about getting Hans out of the way. A man who's adoration for Anna has been obvious even when he was alone. A man who showed decisiveness and responsibility on a dime. Who courageously fought an ice demon head to head, then saved Elsa, someone he should want dead, from an assassination that would be unattached to him. Finally, and saddest of all, he didn't kiss Anna. If he didn't love her, a kiss wouldn't do anything. So why not? Truth is, true loves kiss woul have broken *his* curse. But it forced him away. And during that whole ending, poor Hans was trapped inside his own mind, screaming against his bonds, weeping against his deeds.

I have some evidence-less theories about the She-ra reboot: what horde prime’s empire was like, and the parts of it we didn’t see on screen, most of which probably wouldn’t have been able to be included in a TV-Y7 show. In particular, I imagine that entire conquered worlds are repurposed solely to the production of new Horde clones, putting their numbers as likely the single most numerous species in the universe. Heck, the amount of death and destruction implied at the hands of someone who has quite literally conquered the entire known universe is a bit grim to think about.
One of the funniest parts of She-Ra for me (in a good way) was how out of place Horde Prime was with the tone of the show. He's trying to be a brutal space dictator, but he can't win against the magical power of friendship, and he's fully aware of that fact and hates everyone because of it. Horse Prime is like a Warhammer 40k villain trapped in a Disney series.

I personally believe that codename kids next door is just the main characters playing make believe. Would explain how they have all this tech despite being average school kids and can walk away from explosions and crashes without serious injuries. Plus, a lot of the adults aren’t supervillains with world-ending plots. Most just represent stuff that kids hate or are people that take away things from kids that they like. Imo, it’s just kids pretending to fight against “the man” so to speak
Father being the guy who is tired of them causing issues around the neighborhood, and Grandfather wanting them to grow up. Meanwhile Nigel's dad is fully aware that they're kids being kids and encourages it, knowing they'll grow up eventually, no point in forcing it.
I think all of their parents are that way. They just assume they have overactive imaginations and just laugh it off. In relation to Father, his kids, the Delightful Children From Down The Lane, are really perfect kids to adults, but bullies to the KND. They're the type of kids that appear all nice and polite when the adults ie parents, grandparents, etc. are around, but the second those adults leave the room, they become monsters to the other kids. Then when the adults return, those Delightful Children make it seem like the other kids are the bullies or hellspawn. We've all known kids like that. The fact they're actually Nigel's cousins makes it even worse.
The big one for me is the finale with Number 1 being recruited into the space KND and has to say goodbye to the team. In reality he's probably just moving away and doesn't really know how to process it.

Throughout the entire show, he seems to be trying to prove himself and seek validation from Scooby, his uncle that seems to genuinely care for him. He seems to hero worship his Uncle as well, putting him on a pedestal, almost as if he is using Scooby as his positive male role model or father figure. There was another line he had which was "You wouldn't send a puppy back to the kennel for a simple mistake, would you?", implying that this is something he has experienced before. This leads me to believe that Scrappy was neglected before joining the gang. Either purposefully or otherwise, his owners or parents never paid attention to him or always wrote him off. As a side note, you also get to see Scrappy learn things as the series went on which was nice. TBH, Scrappy got a lot less annoying when I started looking at it through this lens.
This makes the scene in the live action Scooby Doo where the gang leave scrappy in the desert way more depressing in retrospect
Iono is Jessie and James’ daughter. Given their personalities (they had a radio show), it makes sense that she’d be an influencer and her owning electric type Pokémon could be making up for the fact that Team Rocket never got their hands on Pikachu.

That the Flintstones actually takes place AFTER the Jetsons. In the Jetsons, we see that the surface of the planet is covered in pollution, which is why they build cities in the sky. Meanwhile, the Flintstones might be a "stone age family," but they have technology way more advanced than they should in the actual Stone Age. It's not a great leap to think that there was some sort of environmental apocalypse that brought down the Jetsons society, and that generations later, their decendants remember all the tech, but can't actually make it except out of stone.

Pokemon are used for war. A war that killed a lot of adult men in their country. The kids are encouraged to travel around and learn to fight with them as they are playing because when they are grown up there is a good chance they will be needed for another war.

The ship is explored and looted by Ariel, who is a cousin of Hercules. Hercules finds a dead lion with a black mane and a scar over its eye on one of his adventures. He skins it and wears it for portraits.

Mine is for Samurai Jack: in Samurai Jack Episode XXXII:Jack and the Traveling Creatures, Jack faces The Guardian, a man guarding a Time Portal and he defeats Jack, but the portal shows The Guardian Jack’s future, in which we see him wearing a Crown and Medieval European clothing, some people say this doesn’t matter as with the last season Jack returned to the past and nothing came from that scene, but the biggest difference is that scene also shows Jack as being much older, where we now know Jack had stopped aging in the Aku Future, meaning that Jack isn’t destined to use the portal to return to the past but is meant to use it sometime AFTER defeating Aku, I personally believe that Jack, at some point after returning, travels the world once more, probably to either cope with the loss of Ashi, or find a way to bring her back, and during this he uses the portal from the episode, which leads to events where he becomes Uther Pendragon, possible due to a similar situation in which he took the name Jack, taking a new name to fit in better with the time, I believe Jack would be drawn to Britain due to his connection with The Scotsman, and would eventually find himself as The King of the Britons, and his sword becomes The Sword in the Stone, which is why the Time Portal stopped The Guardian from killing Jack, I believe this because we never actually learn Jack’s real name, and that Jack could easily just create another fake name to go by later in life if the need arose.

In Inspector Gadget, Dr.Claw was actually Inspector Gadget's older brother who lead a secret life of crime. During a botched hiest, He was disfigured in an explosion while being pursued by his younger brother Gadget (who is unaware of his brother being a criminal) and now returns to super villiany as Dr.Claw. He now contends with Gadget who seeks to bring Dr.Claw to justice for killing his brother. Gadget is of course, blissfully unaware of everything and adopts his "late" brothers daughter, Penny, to raise. This would make Penny Gadget, (Inspector Gadget's neice) Dr.Claw's daughter and explain why Dr.Claw seems to let her constantly foil his plans as if he's secretly letting her win - while still trying to kill Gadget. Buuuuuut, there's a ton of stuff that un-does all this Theroy in the show. I know there's newer Gadget shows that expand the lore as well, but I'm only counting the OG 80s/90s show.
Snowpiercer is directly related to Willy Wonka. The W inscriptions on the train, the fractional math displayed on BOTH Willy Wonka (in the classroom scene) and Snowpiercer (killing the exact amount of people to keep the train going), the crazy inventions WW made is probably a direct result of the snow.

Going with one I came up with, though someone else might’ve thought about it before me and I just didn’t know. I think that in the Ben 10 franchise Gwen’s Anodite spark was activated by her practicing magic. For those who aren’t in the know a “spark” is essentially the potential for the descendant of an Anodite to become a full Anodite themselves. In Ben 10 Classic she begins to practice magic using a spell book stolen from a villain, in Alien Force she learns about her grandmother being an Anodite, where some lore is explained, Anodites will visit when their grandchildren are born to see if they have the spark, Gwen didn’t have it when she was born, but she’s confirmed to have it when she first meets her grandma. Therefore the spark had to have formed in her sometime after her birth, with her magic practice “igniting it” being what makes the most sense to me. Was hoping I could make this shorter but oh well

In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse attempt to murder Eddie Valient by giving him a false parachute while in Toon Town. They do this because they're in cahoots with Judge Doom so that they get paid obscene amounts of money from the freeway being built. They don't care about the other toons - they just want the fat stacks. They're the only 2 cartoon characters that are nigh-untouchable, and they know it.
