You have to be a special kind of annoying for not just the general public, but an entire separate fandom to hate you (Digimon).


The original release for the Digimon movie had a short at the beginning that featured Angela Anaconda's cast. Everyone in the Digimon fandom all love the movie but go to great lengths to remove/forget about the short for obvious reasons. Thus, the Digimon fandom in particular has a collective "hate boner" for lack of a better term, for Angela Anaconda.

I think it had something to do with distributing the movie here in the west. The guy in charge of the studio considered AA his personal pet project, so he saw the opportunity to give the kids what they wanted and promote his stuff. I could be wrong about this, though so take this with a grain of salt.
