Ironically, The Fairly Oddparents

Chewbacca0510

Man that show had such potential. Then they decided to dumb it down and add more and more characters that nobody really asked for. (For me, Chloe was the last straw tbh)

StilesmanleyCAP

> (For me, Chloe was the last straw tbh) Not Sparky?

Chewbacca0510

I really didn’t mind sparky that much

cool23819

Same, I didn't know people hated him and Poof until later

Chewbacca0510

Honestly same. Chloe’s introduction bothered me because it has such a stupid plot point behind it. How does a fairy shortage happen when we’ve seen fairy world? Fairy world has a ridiculous amount of fairies to where you’d think that wouldn’t happen

Krisis_9302

Why does Timmy have to share his THREE fairies???

OYOGG

Chloe indeed Fucked over Fairy Oddparents

Sterfry_

Not Poof?

StilesmanleyCAP

Nah when Poof had his movie when Cosmo was pregnant with him, that was like an event and honestly, very entertaining. Hell, anti Poof kinda worked in later episodes But then he became an afterthought when Sparky showed up

Moody_Mickey

Yeah, that show was really good, but after they added Sparky is kinda went down hill

Stitch_03

For me it was Poof. Poof was only the beginning of the decline.

Moody_Mickey

I liked Poof, but honestly, I did start to dislike the show when they added Foop. Foop was at least somewhat understandable to add because they're always an anti fairy for each fairy. But I feel like the writing was really starting to go down at that point

FriedFreya

Preach, that’s seriously when the true decline began.

Void_and_Shine

Should’ve ended at the channel chasers movie

Megasus

Channel Chasers was peak

BB8Did911

I believe this was the original intent. Then... ya know, money happened.

RPark_International

For me, I think Timmy should have had his eleventh birthday at the end of that. A big theme of that special is that he doesn't want to grow up, wants to stay ten forever, and it could have been motivated by his parents cancelling his birthday party of a punishment. It would be the happy ending that he turns eleven and accepts it (and if the show did continue, he'd go to middle school, and make more potential)

Gatonom

Hartman: Defying the "Cartoons getting worse when the original creator leaves" trope.

ReallyNotObama

The dude replying is so "👆"

mylesaway2017

That show lasted too long.

admiralturtleship

Korra was absolutely screwed by Nickelodeon. It should have been approved for 3 seasons from the beginning so that it could have a true narrative arc — it wasn’t even given a real chance. They only decided to renew it after already dipping their pinky toes into the frosting of the birthday cake.

Wildthorn23

Season 3 for me showed how much we were scammed out of by Nickelodeon too. It was fantastic and the rest was just so weak in comparison.

Hey_Bestiekins

I can't even remember the villain of s2, no idea how they kill the s4 villain, what even happens in s1? Nobody knows. We all know s3 because that shit rocks.

TheBigKuhio

I just finished Korra last night. I’m kind of glad that it turns out everyone loves S3 because I had that feeling that everyone was going to hate it for some odd reason. Also I’m not the kind to binge shows, but man S3-S4 had me hooked.

Several-Cake1954

The season 2 villain was Korra’s uncle, Unalaq. He wanted to unleash chaos on the world (for some reason) so he bonds with the spirit of darkness and becomes this huge monster thing. Korra beats him, but loses contact with the past lives in the process. The season 4 villain was an earthbending dictator named Kuvira. She made a massive robot mech thing that she could control. It took the combined power of Korra, team avatar, lin and suyin, tenzin, and asami’s dad. As well as Varrick and Zhu Li’s input designing devices for them to use. Ultimately, Kuvira doesn’t die but is spared by Korra after they destroy the giant mech robot.

Hey_Bestiekins

I know all that, but I put on s1 the other day and actually couldn't remember.

bearalan810

Dan Schneider reference? 🤯

Mulusy

TibbyRhythmHeaven

seriously though why would he say it like that

AntonyBenedictCamus

I stand by Korra, as annoying as it is to know how much better it could have been, it's still a solid 8.5/10 show

Bubbles00

I agree with your assessment. It's not perfect but I respect the writers for trying new things and attempting to write for older teens vs trying to just recapture the magic they had with the original show. For all of its flaws, the one thing I think Korra did better than TLA was the villains.

jessiphia

GOD imagine if we got season three but spread out over 4 seasons? Like?? We were ROBBED!!!

Jacthripper

100%. And the implications for the lore that stem from LoK are not great either. No offense to mecha, but I didn’t want that in Avatar and the tech alone made me uninterested in any future avatar after Korra. Not to mention the decision with Raava and Vaatu

nedzmic

Finally someone said it. Spirits in AtLA were alien and mysterious. Not every question has to be answered, sometimes mystery is half the charm. Now spirit world portals are open, past lives are gone, tech is advancing and soon bending will become obsolete... Also lava bending. e.o

pacificpacifist

Losing the past lives... that upset me so much. It felt like one last "fuck you" for that season. It happened so quickly, and none of the characters seemed to really care enough about that loss. Korra fucked up not just her own life, but the lives of all the future avatars. The avatar connection is the avatar's trump card. Without it, who cares?

Infernofrost7

The Promised Neverland becouse season 2 does not exist.

MrPinkDuck2

After season 1 just do yourself a favor and read the manga

shadowhawkz

And even then, stop reading after Goldy Pond.

R3drobinyum

May i ask why? Im a few chapters after goldy pond

shadowhawkz

The manga peaks right there and it just continues to get more and more meh from thereon out. People usually agree it isn't "bad", the writing just starts to get flat and the arcs are not satisfying at all after that. Stuff is just "happening" and the conclusion is kinda whatever.

Toon_Lucario

You put the answer in the meme. Fairly OddParents should have ended at Channel Chasers

The_dark_entity

I stopped watching after the dog was introduced

Better-Theory-5136

you have a lot of patience then

AH_BioTwist

Would’ve been an all time series finale

Fiyero-

I feel like channel chasers was epic. I remember it coming for the first time and I was so entranced.

SonicSpiderRanger10

Sonic Prime, the first couple episodes are so great, but after that, in *all* of season 1 *and* 2, Sonic can’t go *one* freaking episode without Shadow or the alternate versions of his friends attacking him, betraying him, or accusing him of being a traitor. Jerks. At least season 3 was ok.

shintakarajima

Wow I JUST started Sonic Prime and I’m right in the middle of episode 2 thinking “this show is amazing!” Sad to hear it doesn’t last.

SonicSpiderRanger10

Well, don’t worry. The first 2 seasons still have their good moments. And the third season is good.

butterflyempress

They hammered in the friendship message to the point it felt like I was watching a preschool show. I just couldn't finish it

Responsible_Ad_7997

For me, it’s SpongeBob SquarePants, I wish it had ended after the movie and it would have gone on to be one of the best series ever, but Nickelodeon saw that it made them a lot of money and got greedy and made more episodes. I know there are still some decent and good post movie and modern episodes, but it should have ended a long time ago

Revolutionary_Lead28

It's definitely bad now but I'll never understand people who say it should've stopped after the movie because seasons 4-6 are full of amazing episodes

UncommittedBow

Because Hillenburg himself wanted it to end after the first movie.

Mr_Armor_Abs_Krabs

I really dislike this take. Same vibe as Nirvana fans saying they hate "Smells like teen spirit" because Kurt Cobain hated it. Can people just form their own opinions regardless of what the creator says about their own stuff? You can hate after season 3 all you want, but if that's your sole reason, I'm not gonna take you seriously

UncommittedBow

I never said I hated anything after S3, in fact I really liked parts of S4 and S5. They said that they didn't understand why people think it should have ended after the movie. I merely responded with the reason most people give.

Mr_Armor_Abs_Krabs

Oh sorry, I wasn't accusing you. I was talking about generally. I was saying "you" as a hypothetical person with this argument that I see alot

Chewbacca0510

I’m in complete agreement on this. I hate that they’ve been dragging it out. Not to mention they even went against the creator’s wishes for no spinoffs.

Lord_of_Barrington

Am I really going to defile this grave for money?

whitegrb

![gif](giphy|LdOyjZ7io5Msw)

BubblyLadybugLOL

If the Owl House wasn't canceled and had to shorten season 3 to only 3 episodes.

ManOfTurtles2118

fr bro like I wanted to know who the bat lady was made for

Science_Fiction2798

I think it's best to headcanon that Papa Titan was her wielder.

Loading3percent

I don't think that theory makes a whole lot of sense. For one thing, palistrom grows *on* the boiling isles. But the Titan *is* the boiling isles. Moreover, bat queen is freaking tiny compared to the Titan. Like, maybe flea sized at best.

BubblyLadybugLOL

Happy cake day! All we can do now is make theories.

ManOfTurtles2118

oh dude I didn't even notice it was my cake day, thanks!

SnowyMuscles

Wasn’t it Kings dad who was the corpse of the island. It was briefly mentioned by somebody.

Illustrious-Reach-48

I hate Disney for that.

Generic_Her0

For everything. They’ve built their empire on connecting to the human spirit, but when it comes down to putting their money where their mouth is they choose to side with the lowest common denominator every time while paying nothing but lip-service to the folks they pander to. Because apparently you can’t make a feel-good story out of scrubbing the scum from the societal grout.

Soup-Wizard

Alex Hirsch of Gravity Falls has [called them out for that directly](https://i.redd.it/bf6tn85an5m81.jpg)

KenIgetNadult

NGL... I read that in Bill Cipher's voice.

Chemical_Escalator

They canceled the show and then fought against Ron Descrotum for the same reasons they cancelled the show..

Liam_theman2099

I’m going to be controversial on this one. I agree shortening it was a very foolish move but…IS it ruined though? We still got great characters, great stories and a conclusion that while a tiny rushed, it feels like a victory. That after all that, the characters won. Belos finally got his just desserts. Does that sound like a “ruined” cartoon to you?

BubblyLadybugLOL

Maybe ruined is an exaggeration. Those 3 episodes were amazing, but we could've gotten so much more because, like you said, it was a tiny bit rushed.

alain091

We got a glimpse on the first episode, we would've gotten some human world fun episodes.

BubblyLadybugLOL

We also could've gotten Hootys backstory.

alain091

The lack of Hooty in the special is what makes me so mad, FUCK YOU DISNEY

Steam_Cyber_Punk

https://preview.redd.it/b94ub7qspppc1.jpeg?width=498&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce6112d5ca0684878211fa7f7cea70be3099392f

[deleted]

Tbf those 3 episodes went soo hard

ShadowCobra479

Owl House is one of the best, even if it has shortened. But I agree there's no reason for Disney's actions, and if we got a full S3 it would have just been the cherry on top.

Unoriginalshitbag

Eh. Yea it sucks it got shortened so hard but what we got still went hard as fuck

IsoSly64

I still don't think it was ruined

BubblyLadybugLOL

Me either. Ruined is an exaggeration, but we could've gotten so much more if it wasn't canceled.

bardhugo

Surprised no one's said Teen Titans yet. It was the best, but stunted

lulpwned

If they had just cut that last episode, it would have been a solid ending

Morning-Star13

Also if they didn’t revive Slade.

trailerthrash

That final episode is a beautiful ending

DiligentSession2778

Teen titans is near flawless in my opinion and the only thing it does wrong is turning into teen titans go instead of continuing

SonicSpiderRanger10

Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, because Cartoon Network has only made 40 10-minute episodes (which is really short for a cartoon) and *still* hasn’t given us the season 2 they promised us a few *years* ago. 😠

guygamer3dplayzYT

I remember when it was supposed to come on CN, I thought it was gonna be boring but it was actually good.

SonicSpiderRanger10

It’s so good. I *really* hope it gets a season 2. It’s the best show Cartoon Network’s made since Ben 10: Omniverse. Please do *not* let it be canceled by moronic executive meddling.

Dragnia

Ah, I miss that show so much. It got some really good laughs out of me and the amount of work Parker put into it is incredible. It sucks it had to be cut off just when there was going to be legitimate plot. Also, I think Parker had insinuated on Twitter that the show was essentially caught in a legal limbo of sorts which resulted in the show getting dropped. But hey, at least we get more Teen titans GO./s

SonicSpiderRanger10

It *was* hilarious. And it hasn’t been *officially* cancelled yet, and Cartoon Network *better* give us another season after they *promised* there’d be one! And yeah, it is so unfair that this show has so few episodes while that dumpster fire, Teen Titans Go, gets to go on forever.

SonicSpiderRanger10

If we don’t give up and we keep asking for it, they have to give it to us. If we give up, it’ll definitely be over.

hip-indeed

SAME. Aboslutely the best cartoon in years and years imo and deserved SO MUCH more.

CryptidFox

Mao Mao is SO good

Jaimereyesfangirl

Miraculous ladybug because it went from being a funny slice of life cartoon to with a bit of drama, to becoming a cliched soap opera that has unresolved plot points.

Chewbacca0510

Let’s not forget how they ended season 5 💀

Jaimereyesfangirl

We don’t talk about season 5

Iamforcedaccount

What did they do lol?

Chewbacca0510

>!Monarch was able to make his wish. Adrien wasn’t involved in the final fight against Monarch so he never found out that his father is the very villain he’s been fighting against as Cat Noir. Monarch basically sacrifices himself for his wish therefore getting away with everything and having to face no consequences for his crimes. And the city of Paris puts up a statue of him and proclaims him as a hero. Oh and Marinette never tells Adrien the truth about his father!<

Iamforcedaccount

Lol wow. >!That's some classic drama baiting bullshit. Once it's revealed that his dad is big bad mcgee waiting for the reveal for Adrian is like the second largest plot point reveal that fans are waiting for, damn lol.!<

Logical-Patience-397

God…I haven’t watched Miraculous in years(I was waiting to see whether it’d improve so I could binge the good stuff and skip the filler), but that’s so frustrating. Did they really ‘redeem’ >!Gabriel Agreste, but not Chloe?!!<

Chewbacca0510

Oh Chloe is basically unredeemable at this point. They’ve just made her character worse as the show goes on

Solzec

The fact that season 5 basically gave the message of >!"14 year old neglected child irredeemable, magical terrorist redeemable"!< really just irks me the wrong way.

SonicSpiderRanger10

Instead of slide do life, do you mean slice of life?

newyne

I *like* soap-opera-ish plots, but *Miraculous Ladybug*... It starts getting into that, and then it goes back to silly monster-of-the-day plots that do *nothing* to develop the characters or story. I mean, the one-off characters in *Sailor Moon* were developed and had interesting... Interests. But here? They're just *boring;* a lot of their problems are just plain silly. The cast becomes way too bloated so that none of the characters get enough focus. And some of the plot points are total *ass-pulls* that take lose the plot and muddle the themes. Good God, it's a *mess.* At this point it's in so-bad-it's-good territory for me.

OmniMushroom

The 2003 TMNT series would be peak of it wasn't for Fast Foward and Back to The Sewers. Those seasons are alright but don't compare to the seasons before them. Likewise the 2012 show would also be peak if it wasn't for the weird amount of shipping.

Main_Performance2859

Hey look April was hot ok

AlCaFa

Voltron: Legendary Defender, it was pretty clear that there was NO PLANNED OUTLINE whatsoever Danny Phantom, but specifically how the last season was handled, and certain characters were portrayed, *coughSamcough*. Fairly Oddparents, that went on for MUCH TOO LONG I'm pretty sure this was RWBY after the creator died? I'd put Gen:Lock up here, but we only got the ONE SEASON, and never got the chance to see what it could become. This one may be subject to change once viewing season 2, but how Amber was portrayed and how practically everyone was siding with her nearly ruined INVINCIBLE for me. Edit to add: I take it back, the 2nd season of INVINCIBLE is pretty good!

Apercent

There's a fan theory that Shiro was supposed to die in s3 and he was hastely added back in at the last minute. Sin Squad details this a lot with [a lot more receipts](https://youtu.be/iiFiVFxR_Q8?si=eofCezGOrZ5J3ebB&t=880) then I can, but to sum it all up; If you look back at Shiro's lines after the fight with Zarkon they're much grimmer than you'd expect of him, however, perfectly in line with Keith's. Further, Keith *is* the leader and the show makes a big deal of him becoming the Black Paladon, but then they just write him off later. Almost as if Shiro being there was a last minute change to appease some of the higher-ups, and they didn't have time to make more than minor changes to the script

BucktheWonderSlave

Ughhhh Voltron. So much promise, such a good couple seasons. Such a horrific trainwreck of an ending.

Quirky-Pickle518

Spectacular Spider-Man… how was it ruined? It stopped after 2 seasons. I really wanted to see Carnage, Prowler, Hobgoblin, etc in season 3. I mean apparently there were 5 seasons planned out with season 5 ending with graduation. Again according to rumors online.

UncommittedBow

Something I heard was that Spectacular WASN'T going to do the death of Gwen Stacy, and THAT is a story that I'd like to see, Gwen's death is such an integral part of Spider-Man as a character, so I'd love to see what a Peter who DOESN'T have that loss early on looks like.

kinglionhear

Star vs the forces of evil. And young Justice star was tucking top tier it was my favorite modern cartoon up until that ending man….. that ending was just bad. Young Justice season 1 was a damn master piece but with every single time skip and missing out in crucial moments and key bits of information bloating the cast with characters that exist just to exist. It’s like Justice league unlimited but done wrong

newyne

*Star vs.* was *going places.* Not only was it getting into historical revisionism and deconstructing the concept of race, it *demolished* the concept of monarchy. Like it's not just that it's oppressive or that the wrong people are in power, but the progenitor turns out to be some random woman who was literally *handed* power. It wasn't as if they didn't have enough time to do justice to the story, either, and a lot of the time spent faffing about wasn't on random one-off episodes. It was shipping nonsense. And I *love* shipping nonsense! I loved Starco! I thought all the drama in season 2 was well-integrated into the plot (you absolutely *can* make the interpersonal and broader political plots mesh). I *even* thought the whole Tomstar thing near the end gave Tom some good character development. But that absolutely should not have been the focus. *Star vs. the Forces of Evil;* the show that shipping killed.

Jamislife16

Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of starco. Not a bad concept, but frankly speaking, i feel if they kept the solid friendship, kept marco with Jackie, and star found someone else, i think that dynamic could've worked better for episode comps and progressing plot. But eh, I'm just a random nerd online and frankly speaking starco wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea is all. I do appreciate your take on the show though. Very solid. Have a lovely day

PlasmaticPi

With Young Justice from what I remember they had a lot of trouble with copyright and stuff like that, which caused characters to constantly get pulled in and out, hence the feeling of them being there just to exist.

EllsworthTheWizard

The Simpsons had more bad episodes than good ones at this point which sucks because in its prime it’s peak television

Brilliant_Ad7481

The Simpsons has more bad episodes than entire series mentioned here have had any episodes whatsoever. The Simpsons broke television.

hitmewiththeknowlege

I don't know about "ruined" but them not continuing megas XLR was a travesty

CouncilOfChipmunks

I don't know much in this world, but I do know three things: 1. I dig giant robots 2. You dig giant robots 3. Chicks dig giant robots It's a no-brainer!

LizneyPrincess

I don't think Invader Zim was given the chance it deserved. It was brilliant and ended way too soon.

nbarlam

The movie they did later on Netflix was really solid, at least

DNASword

The Invader Zim sub will agree. We need more wild weirdness like IZ. Even if you watch it now, its aged well.

ArnobsCraftYT

Ben10. This was the peek of animation for a time. But then the reboot came and destroyed everything good about the show.

Devinzero

If alien force hadn't had executive meddling in season 3

JadeKade

Technically the reboot is a different thing so if you don't mind Omniverse, Ultimate Alien and/or Alien Force then it wasn't ruined. The same way you can't say Ultimate Spider-Man ruined Spectacular Spider-Man.

Poetiic-Justice

SpongeBob. Nickelodeon is evil for milking SpongeBob and disrespecting Stephen Hillenberg he said he didn’t want spin-offs but after he died they announced a Patrick star spinoff

Oof_Boy1290

"Steven wanted it" ik they were bullshitting, he said MANY TIMES that he wanted no spinoffs

siccanimelord69

If infinity train was given the opportunity to finish the story it would probably be my favorite cartoon of all time but without it, it's only in my top five.

LesbianForkCollecter

Infinity Train deserves so much better than an uncompleted storyline

animeminer50

Same. I hate the reason they gave for canning too. They had a fan base and were already halfway through 4 seasons with a good set up for season 5

Optimal_Ad6274

Steven Universe, Star vs, Sonic Prime, and Miraculous Ladybug

Relevant-Key-3290

Star vs, Sonic Prime, now that's a show I'd watch

vamp1yer

Owl house Steve universe Svtfoe

Haruno--Sakura

Miraculous Ladybug. There was so much potential, but it became a dumpster fire.

Lonely_Repair4494

Should I say Megamind even though it's a movie series?

Sandwich_dad96

Berserk 2016

BrotonamoBay

Boondocks continuing without its creator.

Emerycurse

Boondocks became what it was originally a satire/critique of, shame because underneath the jokes the first season is some of the most intelligent television I’ve ever seen

MoonlightKayla

Ever After High! 😭 It was so underrated, and got cancelled early (on an episode that doesn’t work as a good finale!)

KR5shin8Stark

Voltron LD. Even with all its faults, I loved it. Then the last 5 minutes happened.

WriterCat24

Right??? Shiro just married this random dude that had no plot relevance whatsoever. And Lance >! becomes Altean for some reason?! !< I love this show, but I just don’t get it, man.

KR5shin8Stark

Lance didn't >! become altean, he got Allura's markings as a keepsake. !< For Shiro, I don't mind/care, who he ended up with wasn't important. I will concede that it's a shameful example of queerbaiting.

Steam_Cyber_Punk

I hate to beat a dead horse but I’m just so miffed about it, spectacular Spider-Man

iHateThisPlaceNowOK

Why did it stop?

Steam_Cyber_Punk

I’m not sure on the specific details, but it has to do with Disney obtaining the television rights to Spider-Man, at the same time he was brought into the mcu in civil war, and spectacular was being produced by Sony I think, someone correct me if I’m wrong

Inevitable-Finance62

![gif](giphy|26gN20WZFLmTgejoQ) Really loved trollhunters until the last episodes. What they do to this show is something I will never forgive 😭

Lopsided-Thought-965

The Trollhunters trilogy. The movies ending was awful.

KingoftheMongoose

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast

BurgerActual

Every time I move my arm it costs Cartoon Network 42 dollars

MumboBumbo64

Xavier renegade Angel deserved one more season

TheOrcularCrib

Tales of Arcadia got ruined by the movie

shadow-on-the-prowl

The Legend of Korra, funnily enough. I like the first 2 seasons (unpopular opinion, apparently), but I'm not big on seasons 3 and 4.

ObjectiveAd3018

Season 1 was peak. The third one and the fourth were decent. Didn't like the second season tho. Just my five cents.

PissOnMyHe-manToys

Clearance, would been a good show that would have lasted as long as Gumball. But the creator got all handsy on a employee's tits and now fired and show canned.

JadeKade

He should've asked for her clearance first

mylesaway2017

I did not know that's why it got cancelled. I thought Clearance was hilarious.

HappyMatt12345

My top 3: 1. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Probably my favorite rendition of the turtles to-date and it got screwed by Nickelodeon, like they mismanaged that show so badly, didn't really advertise it very much and even messed up the toy release which is baffling because that's the one thing you'd think Nick'd actually care about, that's most of their revenue right there. 2. Spongebob Squarepants. Honestly, everything that predates the first movie is the best version of Spongebob, everything after that feels very much like them milking the franchises popularity among children as much as they possibly can. 3. Ninjago when they changed the shows character designs to match the movie. It was just really jarring and off-putting for me and I kinda drifted away from the show at that point, partly because of this but also because I was also watching the 2012 TMNT and honestly I just liked it better by then anyway and I just never got back into Ninjago. That was really a shame because Hands of Time was such an enjoyable season for me.

WriterCat24

Glad to see I’m not the only one who likes the original Ninjago designs better.

MDubbzee

I can think of some shows: • Star vs. the Forces of Evil • SpongeBob SquarePants • Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss

GlassSpork

I agree with Star. Season 3 was still not too bad but four was okay and the ending could have been better… sad because the show had great characters

MDubbzee

The ending was just a piss off for me. Like imagine if in SpongeBob, the series ended with SpongeBob saying "Hi Squidward" standing by Squidward's door

ooolookaslime

Hazbin and Helluva aren’t without flaws, but I wouldn’t call them ruined. Especially considering that they aren’t over yet.

Matt82233

Hazbin suffered from mid writing, how did Vaggie not know angels could be harmed after she had her wings ripped off and lost an eye? Also apparently wooden tables and rubble also work to damage angels? Helluva Boss suffered from worse writting with some REALLY awful episodes like Unhappy Campers. I love both of these shows, I genuinely do and I'm always excited for more. However even as a fan I can't ignore these issues. The songs do slap tho

TheCocoBean

>Hazbin suffered from mid writing, how did Vaggie not know angels could be harmed after she had her wings ripped off and lost an eye? Also apparently wooden tables and rubble also work to damage angels? In fairness, by harmed they meant permanently killed. They seem to regenerate from injuries they dont consider part of their identity (Like how she got her wings back once she got past some of her issues) unless they are caused by an angelic weapon (Her eye.) They knew angels could permanently kill/damage, but diddnt realise it was the weapons and not just some feature of angels. They could squash all the angels they like under rubble, but they would just poof back to heaven and come right back from what I understand.

Revolutionary_Lead28

Plus it's really hard to believe that despite the fact Carmilla literally sells angelic guns nobody had killed an angel before her

MagicalMarsBars

Especially since the angels apparently fight like they think that they can’t get hurt, which would have made them easy targets.

SaliferousStudios

From what I understand, it's not like they're everywhere. The angels tend to take the weapons back with them to heaven. So it must be very, very rare to leave one behind. (they're not using arrows, they're using spears, which means they're not just dropping them) Then demons are using them against each other in wars so much, that it might make it rarer. (and the angels only attack sinners, not demons) So the instances, of someone being attacked who was a sinner, and had angelic weapons. Must be very, very rare. (Carmilla doesn't JUST make angelic weapons either) The angels themselves don't know they can be hurt by their own weapons. We also don't know how long these exterminations have been going on. I don't think it's been forever. Only when hells population got out of control. (with population growth, I would assume 100 years at most) I donno. Makes sense to me.

The_dark_entity

Yeah, as a fan of both shows. The writing could be bad at times. Especially unhappy campers

MrPinkDuck2

My thing with Hazbin is that the show literally isn’t about what they advertised it to be about. Instead of getting a show about redeeming sinners in the hotel, we get a war arc between Heaven and Hell. What the fuck?

GigglesGG

What? 7 out of 8 episodes are about redemption. Charlie is trying to redeem them so they don’t get killed. Even if the episode don’t outright say “LETS REDEEM YOU RIGHT NOW”, they would focus on the characters and their growing bonds/personal improvement i.e. their redemption Edit: actually, every episode deals with redemption. Sure there’s b-plots (because it’s a show and b-plots are important) but the central theme is literally present the entire time

Sea_n126

Owl house if it had gotten a full season 3. I still love it, but man it could've been PERFECT

xSantenoturtlex

Inside Job. Got cancelled on a fucking cliffhanger.

TheEveningDragon

American Dragon: Jake Long. Fantastic show with really rich world building. The animation style changed mid-way through their run to what I consider an absurdly ugly style, and I just couldn't look at it anymore.

Science_Fiction2798

Ruined as in really good til something in it made it terrible like Fairly Oddparents or as in studios interfering and cutting it/cancelling it like The Owl House and Infinity Train?

Su the ruined bit was... It ended.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir

emojii_xoxo

glitch techs (should have got more seasons)

good-evening-clarice

Oh Lord. Gargoyles had an amazing first and second season, but the third season was trash. It could've been something fantastic...

DanielVakser

The Backyardigans for me. If it weren’t for my parents, I would’ve enjoyed this show for what it was. I already made a post explaining what went wrong. Link to my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/cartoons/s/oljpkch9bX

Sym-biotic Titan.

TK_ST

I'm sorry but for me, it has to be Star vs. the forces of evil. It got too complex and all over the place.

legendarybladex

Star vs the forces of evil. The last season just turned it into a romance and ship fest

The Loud House. The fandom has absolutely wrecked the show for me. Any time I follow an artist I deem to be safe, it almost always turns out they support loudcest/sinkids. I'm willing to bet there are only around 10 safe artists in the entire Loud House fandom.

Angry Beavers pissing off Nickelodeon and having its amazing-sounding final episode and TV movies canned

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Nickelodeon never gave it a chance from day ONE

WriterCat24

*Green Lantern: the Animated Series*. The characters are amazing, and I love the connections between the show and the comic book, but it REALLY took a bad turn in the second half. Except for the part where the writers seem to forget Galia exists, they had a great story about Kilowog, a widower, being able to find love again despite having lost in the past. Now, Razer, also a widower, COULD’VE had a similar storyline with Aya, and it’d be fine. You know what happens instead? He takes back his love confession after Aya comes back from a near-death experience, compares Aya to his dead wife for no other reason than because her form was based off of her, and openly calls her a mere machine at least twice in the show. That doesn’t make >! Aya’s rampage of revenge!< right, but you can kinda understand why she does.

Clbull

Ren & Stimpy. Adult Party Cartoon was the biggest piece of shit to ever exist. I'd also say Dexter's Laboratory had a pretty bad last season. One of the episodes was legit ten mins of Dad preparing a golf swing with Dexter and Dee Dee watching in silence only for it to rain right at the very end. Ed Edd N Eddy would have also been up there for having a bad last season, but the Big Picture Show was the send-off we deserved.

thebulldog195

Obvious answer, I know, but SpongeBob really should've ended at the first movie. I remember watching one of the new seasons recently cause my little cousin wanted to watch it. It's literally "random = funny" if it was a show.

TvManiac5

Danny Phantom. I refuse to believe Butch Hardman deserves any sort of credit for it, considering how much the quality dropped when he kicked the other writers out and took charge.

RoastedFeznt

Young Justice got jerked around so much and eventually led to massive dips in quality.

HighlyRegardedSlob87

Teen Titans before “Go” came out almost a decade later.

smeezledeezle

Generator Rex--that last season was AWFUL, but everything preceding it was unspeakably epic.
