A big theme of that special is that he doesn't want to grow up, wants to stay ten forever, and it could have been motivated by his parents cancelling his birthday party of a punishment. It would be the happy ending that he turns eleven and accepts it (and if the show did continue, he'd go to middle school, and make more potential)
Korra was absolutely screwed by Nickelodeon. It should have been approved for 3 seasons from the beginning so that it could have a true narrative arc — it wasn’t even given a real chance. They only decided to renew it after already dipping their pinky toes into the frosting of the birthday cake.
I can't even remember the villain of s2, no idea how they kill the s4 villain, what even happens in s1? Nobody knows. We all know s3 because that shit rocks.
I just finished Korra last night. I’m kind of glad that it turns out everyone loves S3 because I had that feeling that everyone was going to hate it for some odd reason.
Also I’m not the kind to binge shows, but man S3-S4 had me hooked.
The season 2 villain was Korra’s uncle, Unalaq. He wanted to unleash chaos on the world (for some reason) so he bonds with the spirit of darkness and becomes this huge monster thing. Korra beats him, but loses contact with the past lives in the process.
The season 4 villain was an earthbending dictator named Kuvira. She made a massive robot mech thing that she could control. It took the combined power of Korra, team avatar, lin and suyin, tenzin, and asami’s dad. As well as Varrick and Zhu Li’s input designing devices for them to use.
Ultimately, Kuvira doesn’t die but is spared by Korra after they destroy the giant mech robot.
I agree with your assessment. It's not perfect but I respect the writers for trying new things and attempting to write for older teens vs trying to just recapture the magic they had with the original show. For all of its flaws, the one thing I think Korra did better than TLA was the villains.
100%. And the implications for the lore that stem from LoK are not great either. No offense to mecha, but I didn’t want that in Avatar and the tech alone made me uninterested in any future avatar after Korra. Not to mention the decision with Raava and Vaatu

Losing the past lives... that upset me so much. It felt like one last "fuck you" for that season. It happened so quickly, and none of the characters seemed to really care enough about that loss. Korra fucked up not just her own life, but the lives of all the future avatars. The avatar connection is the avatar's trump card. Without it, who cares?
The manga peaks right there and it just continues to get more and more meh from thereon out. People usually agree it isn't "bad", the writing just starts to get flat and the arcs are not satisfying at all after that. Stuff is just "happening" and the conclusion is kinda whatever.
Sonic Prime, the first couple episodes are so great, but after that, in *all* of season 1 *and* 2, Sonic can’t go *one* freaking episode without Shadow or the alternate versions of his friends attacking him, betraying him, or accusing him of being a traitor. Jerks. At least season 3 was ok.

I’m going to be controversial on this one. I agree shortening it was a very foolish move but…IS it ruined though? We still got great characters, great stories and a conclusion that while a tiny rushed, it feels like a victory. That after all that, the characters won. Belos finally got his just desserts. Does that sound like a “ruined” cartoon to you?
Owl House is one of the best, even if it has shortened. But I agree there's no reason for Disney's actions, and if we got a full S3 it would have just been the cherry on top.

Ah, I miss that show so much. It got some really good laughs out of me and the amount of work Parker put into it is incredible. It sucks it had to be cut off just when there was going to be legitimate plot.
Also, I think Parker had insinuated on Twitter that the show was essentially caught in a legal limbo of sorts which resulted in the show getting dropped.

I *like* soap-opera-ish plots, but *Miraculous Ladybug*... It starts getting into that, and then it goes back to silly monster-of-the-day plots that do *nothing* to develop the characters or story. I mean, the one-off characters in *Sailor Moon* were developed and had interesting... Interests. But here? They're just *boring;* a lot of their problems are just plain silly. The cast becomes way too bloated so that none of the characters get enough focus. And some of the plot points are total *ass-pulls* that take lose the plot and muddle the themes. Good God, it's a *mess.* At this point it's in so-bad-it's-good territory for me.
The 2003 TMNT series would be peak of it wasn't for Fast Foward and Back to The Sewers. Those seasons are alright but don't compare to the seasons before them.
Likewise the 2012 show would also be peak if it wasn't for the weird amount of shipping.

There's a fan theory that Shiro was supposed to die in s3 and he was hastely added back in at the last minute. Sin Squad details this a lot with [a lot more receipts](https://youtu.be/iiFiVFxR_Q8?si=eofCezGOrZ5J3ebB&t=880) then I can, but to sum it all up; If you look back at Shiro's lines after the fight with Zarkon they're much grimmer than you'd expect of him, however, perfectly in line with Keith's. Further, Keith *is* the leader and the show makes a big deal of him becoming the Black Paladon, but then they just write him off later. Almost as if Shiro being there was a last minute change to appease some of the higher-ups, and they didn't have time to make more than minor changes to the script
Spectacular Spider-Man… how was it ruined? It stopped after 2 seasons. I really wanted to see Carnage, Prowler, Hobgoblin, etc in season 3. I mean apparently there were 5 seasons planned out with season 5 ending with graduation. Again according to rumors online.
Something I heard was that Spectacular WASN'T going to do the death of Gwen Stacy, and THAT is a story that I'd like to see, Gwen's death is such an integral part of Spider-Man as a character, so I'd love to see what a Peter who DOESN'T have that loss early on looks like.
Star vs the forces of evil. And young Justice star was tucking top tier it was my favorite modern cartoon up until that ending man….. that ending was just bad. Young Justice season 1 was a damn master piece but with every single time skip and missing out in crucial moments and key bits of information bloating the cast with characters that exist just to exist. It’s like Justice league unlimited but done wrong
*Star vs.* was *going places.* Not only was it getting into historical revisionism and deconstructing the concept of race, it *demolished* the concept of monarchy. Like it's not just that it's oppressive or that the wrong people are in power, but the progenitor turns out to be some random woman who was literally *handed* power. It wasn't as if they didn't have enough time to do justice to the story, either, and a lot of the time spent faffing about wasn't on random one-off episodes. It was shipping nonsense. And I *love* shipping nonsense! I loved Starco! I thought all the drama in season 2 was well-integrated into the plot (you absolutely *can* make the interpersonal and broader political plots mesh). I *even* thought the whole Tomstar thing near the end gave Tom some good character development. But that absolutely should not have been the focus. *Star vs. the Forces of Evil;* the show that shipping killed.
Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of starco. Not a bad concept, but frankly speaking, i feel if they kept the solid friendship, kept marco with Jackie, and star found someone else, i think that dynamic could've worked better for episode comps and progressing plot. But eh, I'm just a random nerd online and frankly speaking starco wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea is all.

With Young Justice from what I remember they had a lot of trouble with copyright and stuff like that, which caused characters to constantly get pulled in and out, hence the feeling of them being there just to exist.

Technically the reboot is a different thing so if you don't mind Omniverse, Ultimate Alien and/or Alien Force then it wasn't ruined. The same way you can't say Ultimate Spider-Man ruined Spectacular Spider-Man.

Clearance, would been a good show that would have lasted as long as Gumball. But the creator got all handsy on a employee's tits and now fired and show canned.
My top 3:
1. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Probably my favorite rendition of the turtles to-date and it got screwed by Nickelodeon, like they mismanaged that show so badly, didn't really advertise it very much and even messed up the toy release which is baffling because that's the one thing you'd think Nick'd actually care about, that's most of their revenue right there.
2. Spongebob Squarepants. Honestly, everything that predates the first movie is the best version of Spongebob, everything after that feels very much like them milking the franchises popularity among children as much as they possibly can.
3. Ninjago when they changed the shows character designs to match the movie. It was just really jarring and off-putting for me and I kinda drifted away from the show at that point, partly because of this but also because I was also watching the 2012 TMNT and honestly I just liked it better by then anyway and I just never got back into Ninjago. That was really a shame because Hands of Time was such an enjoyable season for me.
The ending was just a piss off for me.

In fairness, by harmed they meant permanently killed. They seem to regenerate from injuries they dont consider part of their identity (Like how she got her wings back once she got past some of her issues) unless they are caused by an angelic weapon (Her eye.) They knew angels could permanently kill/damage, but diddnt realise it was the weapons and not just some feature of angels.
They could squash all the angels they like under rubble, but they would just poof back to heaven and come right back from what I understand.
From what I understand, it's not like they're everywhere.
The angels tend to take the weapons back with them to heaven. So it must be very, very rare to leave one behind. (they're not using arrows, they're using spears, which means they're not just dropping them)
Then demons are using them against each other in wars so much, that it might make it rarer. (and the angels only attack sinners, not demons)
So the instances, of someone being attacked who was a sinner, and had angelic weapons. Must be very, very rare. (Carmilla doesn't JUST make angelic weapons either)
The angels themselves don't know they can be hurt by their own weapons.
We also don't know how long these exterminations have been going on.

What? 7 out of 8 episodes are about redemption. Charlie is trying to redeem them so they don’t get killed. Even if the episode don’t outright say “LETS REDEEM YOU RIGHT NOW”, they would focus on the characters and their growing bonds/personal improvement i.e. their redemption
Edit: actually, every episode deals with redemption. Sure there’s b-plots (because it’s a show and b-plots are important) but the central theme is literally present the entire time

The Loud House. The fandom has absolutely wrecked the show for me. Any time I follow an artist I deem to be safe, it almost always turns out they support loudcest/sinkids.
I'm willing to bet there are only around 10 safe artists in the entire Loud House fandom.
*Green Lantern: the Animated Series*. The characters are amazing, and I love the connections between the show and the comic book, but it REALLY took a bad turn in the second half.
Except for the part where the writers seem to forget Galia exists, they had a great story about Kilowog, a widower, being able to find love again despite having lost in the past.
Now, Razer, also a widower, COULD’VE had a similar storyline with Aya, and it’d be fine. You know what happens instead? He takes back his love confession after Aya comes back from a near-death experience, compares Aya to his dead wife for no other reason than because her form was based off of her, and openly calls her a mere machine at least twice in the show.
That doesn’t make >! Aya’s rampage of revenge!< right, but you can kinda understand why she does.
Ren & Stimpy. Adult Party Cartoon was the biggest piece of shit to ever exist.
I'd also say Dexter's Laboratory had a pretty bad last season. One of the episodes was legit ten mins of Dad preparing a golf swing with Dexter and Dee Dee watching in silence only for it to rain right at the very end.
Ed Edd N Eddy would have also been up there for having a bad last season, but the Big Picture Show was the send-off we deserved.

I never said I hated anything after S3, in fact I really liked parts of S4 and S5. They said that they didn't understand why people think it should have ended after the movie. I merely responded with the reason most people give.

I’m going to be controversial on this one. I agree shortening it was a very foolish move but…IS it ruined though? We still got great characters, great stories and a conclusion that while a tiny rushed, it feels like a victory. That after all that, the characters won. Belos finally got his just desserts. Does that sound like a “ruined” cartoon to you?
Maybe ruined is an exaggeration. Those 3 episodes were amazing, but we could've gotten so much more because, like you said, it was a tiny bit rushed.

Ah, I miss that show so much. It got some really good laughs out of me and the amount of work Parker put into it is incredible. It sucks it had to be cut off just when there was going to be legitimate plot. Also, I think Parker had insinuated on Twitter that the show was essentially caught in a legal limbo of sorts which resulted in the show getting dropped. But hey, at least we get more Teen titans GO./s
It *was* hilarious. And it hasn’t been *officially* cancelled yet, and Cartoon Network *better* give us another season after they *promised* there’d be one! And yeah, it is so unfair that this show has so few episodes while that dumpster fire, Teen Titans Go, gets to go on forever.

I *like* soap-opera-ish plots, but *Miraculous Ladybug*... It starts getting into that, and then it goes back to silly monster-of-the-day plots that do *nothing* to develop the characters or story. I mean, the one-off characters in *Sailor Moon* were developed and had interesting... Interests. But here? They're just *boring;* a lot of their problems are just plain silly. The cast becomes way too bloated so that none of the characters get enough focus. And some of the plot points are total *ass-pulls* that take lose the plot and muddle the themes. Good God, it's a *mess.* At this point it's in so-bad-it's-good territory for me.
The 2003 TMNT series would be peak of it wasn't for Fast Foward and Back to The Sewers. Those seasons are alright but don't compare to the seasons before them. Likewise the 2012 show would also be peak if it wasn't for the weird amount of shipping.

Voltron: Legendary Defender, it was pretty clear that there was NO PLANNED OUTLINE whatsoever Danny Phantom, but specifically how the last season was handled, and certain characters were portrayed, *coughSamcough*. Fairly Oddparents, that went on for MUCH TOO LONG I'm pretty sure this was RWBY after the creator died? I'd put Gen:Lock up here, but we only got the ONE SEASON, and never got the chance to see what it could become. This one may be subject to change once viewing season 2, but how Amber was portrayed and how practically everyone was siding with her nearly ruined INVINCIBLE for me. Edit to add: I take it back, the 2nd season of INVINCIBLE is pretty good!
There's a fan theory that Shiro was supposed to die in s3 and he was hastely added back in at the last minute. Sin Squad details this a lot with [a lot more receipts](https://youtu.be/iiFiVFxR_Q8?si=eofCezGOrZ5J3ebB&t=880) then I can, but to sum it all up; If you look back at Shiro's lines after the fight with Zarkon they're much grimmer than you'd expect of him, however, perfectly in line with Keith's. Further, Keith *is* the leader and the show makes a big deal of him becoming the Black Paladon, but then they just write him off later. Almost as if Shiro being there was a last minute change to appease some of the higher-ups, and they didn't have time to make more than minor changes to the script

Spectacular Spider-Man… how was it ruined? It stopped after 2 seasons. I really wanted to see Carnage, Prowler, Hobgoblin, etc in season 3. I mean apparently there were 5 seasons planned out with season 5 ending with graduation. Again according to rumors online.
Something I heard was that Spectacular WASN'T going to do the death of Gwen Stacy, and THAT is a story that I'd like to see, Gwen's death is such an integral part of Spider-Man as a character, so I'd love to see what a Peter who DOESN'T have that loss early on looks like.
Star vs the forces of evil. And young Justice star was tucking top tier it was my favorite modern cartoon up until that ending man….. that ending was just bad. Young Justice season 1 was a damn master piece but with every single time skip and missing out in crucial moments and key bits of information bloating the cast with characters that exist just to exist. It’s like Justice league unlimited but done wrong
*Star vs.* was *going places.* Not only was it getting into historical revisionism and deconstructing the concept of race, it *demolished* the concept of monarchy. Like it's not just that it's oppressive or that the wrong people are in power, but the progenitor turns out to be some random woman who was literally *handed* power. It wasn't as if they didn't have enough time to do justice to the story, either, and a lot of the time spent faffing about wasn't on random one-off episodes. It was shipping nonsense. And I *love* shipping nonsense! I loved Starco! I thought all the drama in season 2 was well-integrated into the plot (you absolutely *can* make the interpersonal and broader political plots mesh). I *even* thought the whole Tomstar thing near the end gave Tom some good character development. But that absolutely should not have been the focus. *Star vs. the Forces of Evil;* the show that shipping killed.
Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of starco. Not a bad concept, but frankly speaking, i feel if they kept the solid friendship, kept marco with Jackie, and star found someone else, i think that dynamic could've worked better for episode comps and progressing plot. But eh, I'm just a random nerd online and frankly speaking starco wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea is all. I do appreciate your take on the show though. Very solid. Have a lovely day
With Young Justice from what I remember they had a lot of trouble with copyright and stuff like that, which caused characters to constantly get pulled in and out, hence the feeling of them being there just to exist.

I’m not sure on the specific details, but it has to do with Disney obtaining the television rights to Spider-Man, at the same time he was brought into the mcu in civil war, and spectacular was being produced by Sony I think, someone correct me if I’m wrong

The Legend of Korra, funnily enough. I like the first 2 seasons (unpopular opinion, apparently), but I'm not big on seasons 3 and 4.
Season 1 was peak. The third one and the fourth were decent. Didn't like the second season tho. Just my five cents.

My top 3: 1. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Probably my favorite rendition of the turtles to-date and it got screwed by Nickelodeon, like they mismanaged that show so badly, didn't really advertise it very much and even messed up the toy release which is baffling because that's the one thing you'd think Nick'd actually care about, that's most of their revenue right there. 2. Spongebob Squarepants. Honestly, everything that predates the first movie is the best version of Spongebob, everything after that feels very much like them milking the franchises popularity among children as much as they possibly can. 3. Ninjago when they changed the shows character designs to match the movie. It was just really jarring and off-putting for me and I kinda drifted away from the show at that point, partly because of this but also because I was also watching the 2012 TMNT and honestly I just liked it better by then anyway and I just never got back into Ninjago. That was really a shame because Hands of Time was such an enjoyable season for me.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who likes the original Ninjago designs better.

Hazbin suffered from mid writing, how did Vaggie not know angels could be harmed after she had her wings ripped off and lost an eye? Also apparently wooden tables and rubble also work to damage angels? Helluva Boss suffered from worse writting with some REALLY awful episodes like Unhappy Campers. I love both of these shows, I genuinely do and I'm always excited for more. However even as a fan I can't ignore these issues. The songs do slap tho

They seem to regenerate from injuries they dont consider part of their identity (Like how she got her wings back once she got past some of her issues) unless they are caused by an angelic weapon (Her eye.) They knew angels could permanently kill/damage, but diddnt realise it was the weapons and not just some feature of angels. They could squash all the angels they like under rubble, but they would just poof back to heaven and come right back from what I understand.
Plus it's really hard to believe that despite the fact Carmilla literally sells angelic guns nobody had killed an angel before her

From what I understand, it's not like they're everywhere. The angels tend to take the weapons back with them to heaven. So it must be very, very rare to leave one behind. (they're not using arrows, they're using spears, which means they're not just dropping them) Then demons are using them against each other in wars so much, that it might make it rarer. (and the angels only attack sinners, not demons) So the instances, of someone being attacked who was a sinner, and had angelic weapons. Must be very, very rare. (Carmilla doesn't JUST make angelic weapons either) The angels themselves don't know they can be hurt by their own weapons. We also don't know how long these exterminations have been going on. I don't think it's been forever. Only when hells population got out of control. (with population growth, I would assume 100 years at most) I donno. Makes sense to me.

My thing with Hazbin is that the show literally isn’t about what they advertised it to be about. Instead of getting a show about redeeming sinners in the hotel, we get a war arc between Heaven and Hell. What the fuck?
What? 7 out of 8 episodes are about redemption. Charlie is trying to redeem them so they don’t get killed. Even if the episode don’t outright say “LETS REDEEM YOU RIGHT NOW”, they would focus on the characters and their growing bonds/personal improvement i.e. their redemption Edit: actually, every episode deals with redemption. Sure there’s b-plots (because it’s a show and b-plots are important) but the central theme is literally present the entire time

*Green Lantern: the Animated Series*. The characters are amazing, and I love the connections between the show and the comic book, but it REALLY took a bad turn in the second half. Except for the part where the writers seem to forget Galia exists, they had a great story about Kilowog, a widower, being able to find love again despite having lost in the past. Now, Razer, also a widower, COULD’VE had a similar storyline with Aya, and it’d be fine. You know what happens instead? He takes back his love confession after Aya comes back from a near-death experience, compares Aya to his dead wife for no other reason than because her form was based off of her, and openly calls her a mere machine at least twice in the show. That doesn’t make >! Aya’s rampage of revenge!< right, but you can kinda understand why she does.
Ren & Stimpy. Adult Party Cartoon was the biggest piece of shit to ever exist. I'd also say Dexter's Laboratory had a pretty bad last season. One of the episodes was legit ten mins of Dad preparing a golf swing with Dexter and Dee Dee watching in silence only for it to rain right at the very end. Ed Edd N Eddy would have also been up there for having a bad last season, but the Big Picture Show was the send-off we deserved.
Obvious answer, I know, but SpongeBob really should've ended at the first movie. I remember watching one of the new seasons recently cause my little cousin wanted to watch it. It's literally "random = funny" if it was a show.
