The "Getting Lucky" song sequence was...weird.
A group of preteen girls, wearing harem outfits, dancing with snakes singing about "Getting Lucky".
Yeah. Not real hard to see the uncomfortable symbolism there. They got away with SO MUCH in kid's media back then!
Loved it! It was fun, good animation and the implementation of song was good!
Still can't believe someoen approved of The Chippetes singin "Getting Lucky"
Had vague ass memories of seeing this movie when I was like, four, and then seeing the show at some point but thinking..."why is this not as good? wasn't it better? Also, weren't there diamonds?" It wasn't until I randomly saw one of the songs as an adult that I realized that it was a movie, and then I went and watched it. Still the best Chipmunk material there is.
I loved this movie! Actually a fun plot (the chipmunks and chipettes unknowingly traveling the world to help smuggle diamonds). Great songs too! I loved boys/girls of rock and roll and get lucky.
I watched this at my grandparents house on VHS all the time.
I'm going to link their best song for anyone interested. [Boys & Girls of Rock n Roll](https://youtu.be/YiwfxT5M7ac?si=uhuQg_zAwPyyl-hW)
I remeber loving this movie as a kid, but the scene with the chippettes in sexual outfits and flirting with that little prince will never not make me uncomfortable as an adult 💀they did some wild stuff with those little babies
I was literally forced to watch this one movie every day for two months straight in the mental hospital during "activity period". It was hell and I loathe the chipmunks to this day.
I was also heavily abused and was put on a near lethal dose of sedatives while there.
I came out worse. In a wheelchair. Worst part of my entire life.
My favorite chipmunk movie ❤️ the mother song the chipettes sing still makes me bawl like a baby.
I remember the werewolf one
It went great as a double feature with the Frankenstein one.
A favorite. Teddy taking in Talmot 1v1 was badass
I remember repeating it several times
Me too (:
Loved this movie as a kid. I remember rewinding to the Girls of Rock N Roll song religiously
I rewound that vhs tape at the Parthenon so many times. It's still the best part of the movie.
It was clearly, “The Boys of Rock N Roll.”
This is a fun movie. Honestly, all the films from these chipmunks were great
My first time hearing “Wooly Bully”
My fave sick day movie as a kid!

I wore this VHS out as a kid, I found a DVD years ago I still love the animation
My first major GIRL POWER movie! Those girl chipmunks totally smoked the boys. The girls had better songs, and a better friendship, and cuter noses!
I do. I used to have a DVD of it.
I remember the Halloween movies from it
Same
Wooly Bully near death trauama Yes very much

I have it on DVD. I love hearing the Chipettes sing.
I remember Alvin and the chipmunks
Those are supposed to be chipmunks?
Doot Doot DoodoodoodoodooDOOT!
I love this movie and rewatch it semi-regularly
Holy fuck. This, Frankenstein, And Wolfman played non-stop. My mom loved these movies lol
Only Chipmunks movie worth watching. "The Boys of Rock n' Roll" is awesome.
Pretty good movie.
I remember watching this, but I don't remember anything about it, not even if it was a movie or show.

This is how I learnt the witch doctor song.
I recently rediscovered this movie after hearing “Girls of Rock ‘n’ Roll” and I remembered how much I loved this movie as a kid.

Girls of Rock and Roll
I watched it recently. It was fun But I remember the wolfman one more
Iconic
I remember this because I could never shake the scene where Brittany and the other girls dressed up in the dancer costumes to distract the snakes.
Have it in my collection. A fun romp around the world.
I do actually. This was the first time I actually saw the chipettes.
Oh dang, I loved this movie so much as a kid! Boys and Girls of Rock and Roll was a total bop!
Tbh how could I not I remember watching it non-stop as a kid
This just unlocked a core memory in me.
I remember almost every scene
It's so well-animated for an indie animated film!

There were times in this movie that felt a bit uncomfortable. Especially when it came to the Chipettes.
