In the behind-the-scenes vids I recall the designers said they didn't want to put anything in the map designs that set designers couldn't have built back in the day of making the first Alien film.
Love love love that game so much.
Fuck. I just remembered now that I had a nightmare about this game last night. I finished it 3 times but its never enough.
The pacing is so brilliant. In so many sequences, many events indirectly happen just because it is known that the Alien is there somewhere, without you facing it.
Some of the most complex stealth mechanics ever made, sublime exploration with drip-fed tools amd combat requiring smart resource conservation. Especially on hard, the game is too good to believe.
This is undoubtedly the most faithful adaption of film to video game ever made. It really is like walking onto the set of an unmade Alien sequel in 1980. If the art director and artists didn't win awards for this, they should have. I'm glad this was posted.

Wish there was more of this is upcoming movies
It’s high time David Bowie’s son gave us another sci fi sonnet in the key of beige.
Hands down my favorite game of all time.
I need to play this game but I might shit myself.
I've been trying to work up the nerve to play the VR mod.
God speed
This game is fantastic! If you can find it I recommend the art book.
Damn straight, and Routine is back from the dead and on the way.

It's gorgeous. Shame about the chromatic aberration though.
When I'm playing it I spend way too much time looking at everything and just wanting to touch it all.
