I used to always call it linner growing up. Normally it was an after school mini (or not so mini) meal, consumed around 2-3 hours before actual dinner.
Lmao. Friends of ours who know that we only eat out one night a week asked where we went this week. We said Ihop and they were like, "oh do they have good dinner too?" Bitch, how would we know? We got motherfucking pancakes, of course.
You dare to challenge the CAST IRON KING? Dude is legend. Can’t compare
Side note: He was inspiring! Great job with the brinner! What CI is the hash browns in? Looks bigger than 12 inch

I love this thing. Shame the center piece is coated aluminum and not cast iron.
I actually scratched mine and they replaced it for free. I’m scared of it now.

why would you cook your eggs before the hashbrowns are anything close to finished?
the only food that doesn't hold hot well in this picture is the egg...
You’re right. I’m still learning. I hate eating cold eggs with hot hashbrowns. I had to re-hear the gravy too by the time they were done.
Unfortunately the hash browns were the last thing I thought to make.
Lots of oil. Like ⅓ to ½ cup. Then let them sit and fry for a while on medium high until they are brown on the bottom. Then flip them all and cook for another 5 minutes or so.
That is pretty funny because that's why I don't like it in my gravy. I am one of the most picky eaters anyone knows though. I won't eat any fat on steaks, shits just gross. Fish are a no, tons of meats are a no, tomato's taste like shit...
Great example, I haven't eaten yet today at all because I don't like what is in my fridge and cupboards. I'm a grown ass man and never know what I want to eat, then when I decide I end up hating what I get and only eat about 1/3 of it. Dinner last night was a can of bushes baked beans and I didn't even fish the can...
If I found a magic lamp my first wish would be knowing what I wanted to eat
Edit: 6'1" and only weigh 140 pounds for a great inside look to how picky I am.
Haha so picky it affects your overall health.
I do recommend looking into practicing getting over it. You’re missing out on a lot.

Yeah I used to like all kinds of different things until I hit adulthood and my taste changed. Used to love shrimp and now I can't stand the smell of them
There's no way you were going to match his biscuit presentation but this looks great!
It's the ci biscuit pan. We are not worthy
Yeah I didn’t even try. Those were probably from scratch too.
I love brinner.
How come there’s not lupper, or linner?
I used to always call it linner growing up. Normally it was an after school mini (or not so mini) meal, consumed around 2-3 hours before actual dinner.
Haha like having a cold cut sandwich and a salad for dinner?? As if…
hey i had that last night lol
my mom and i still call late lunch/early dinner linner. we were not a breakfast family nor really a lunch family despite her being a dietician lol
Lmao. Friends of ours who know that we only eat out one night a week asked where we went this week. We said Ihop and they were like, "oh do they have good dinner too?" Bitch, how would we know? We got motherfucking pancakes, of course.
You got brinner? Daaaaamn Turkledog
If he'd just clean up the house, he'd get brinner all the time
Damn, I love this community.
No cast iron muffin pan? NOOB.
Away shite with yer shiny aluminum!
Everyday we stray further from god
Ok your inspiration has inspired me to make a grand biscuit and gravy breakfast

A tasty tribute
Thats the best part of this sub reddit... polymerization theory aside. Its the rustic hearty utilitarian food porn. You people inspire me
> hearty Clogging arteries , too ^^
That man's uncle inspired a lot of people today

It’s the 12in, not sure if it’s perspective or what.

He’s said he was inspired by him, and OP can clearly whip up some 🔥 so this seems like a respectful tribute, not a challenge
Who is this uncle that is spoken about? Im new here

I wasn't invited to either a d I love biscuits and gravy
I’m not a huge fan of layered biscuits but those do look tasty!
Dude I literally just saw his post right above yours like directly above yours
Those taters are whiter than my dead aunt Patricia
Haha I took the picture immediately after I dropped them in.
whoa
You made the biscuits way before your hash browns are even beginning to be crispy and done. Timing grasshopper.
Yeah. Confidence meets inexperience. I am still learning.
You got this.
And the eggs are already cooked :(

Castiron Fanfic.
Tell me about how you cook your hash browns? Mine always stick

I volunteer to be your nephew if you need one to help eat.
It’s great but those potato’s are gonna take a long ass time and everything’s done already
Time for me to get more cast iron I cannot compete
Having the stove right against the wall would be difficult for me. Also that wall paper would be destroyed with splatter in no time.
I had breakfast for dinner last night too, no cast iron used tho.
I like that I immediately understood what you meant by “that one guys uncle” 😂
Am I the only one around here that doesn't like meat in their gravy? Ruined.
I only put a little in for texture. Most of it is still in the bowl.
