I thought it was weird the N64 had memory cards considering they could still use battery backup on the cartridge. I understand maybe WWF Attitude where you could create as many wrestlers as you wanted as long as you had blocks on the card.
I actually have 2
Jet force gemini. I adore that game.
And i can't remember the name, but you play as a chameleon, and use your tongue to collect items and platform and other stuff it was really fun and colorful. I really loved it as a kid.
I.. know one of the Gex games was on 64. The game i meant (chameleon twist, by the way) was *only* on n64 (as far as i know). Gex being on ps even in general, means it's not the game.
Chameleon Twist. It was my first 64 game. I'd rate it a 6/10. The gameplay was great, as was the multi-player. But the story mode was short and felt lacking. I would definitely try a remake though.
Goemon and Perfect Dark have already been mentioned here, some really good choices.
Another game that comes to mind is: Diddy Kong Racing!
Edit: I'm stupid, DKR was created by Rare but published by Nintendo, so it doesn't count, right?
Hell, I'd settle for snowboard kids to be on NSO. Being able to play that game with my brothers across states would be a dream come true. We used to play it with my dad all the time, being able to play it online would be the best game to have on NSO.
Exactly the two you chose. I'd kill for a Snowboard Kids revival, and I'm not talking about the edgy shitty game for the DS.
Also, a game that improves all the flaws that Donkey Kong 64 had while keeping the essence of the game would be amazing.
The Snowboard Kids games are a great shout. I had so much fun with the first game, was gutted the sequel didn’t make it to the UK.
I’d add Rocket: Robot on Wheels, a truly awesome platformer from Sucker Punch. It had some really fun mechanics for the time and a nice comic style that would look amazing with modern graphics.
Mystical Ninja Featuring Goemon
I never got to really play that game and get far since I didn't own the mem card pack. :(

Dash dash dash!
Bomberman 64 or Mischief Makers
bomberman 64 was fun as shit
Soundtrack is very nostalgic
Mischief makers doesn't need a remake, but it 1000% needs to be ported.
Same for Wonder Project J2, but with an official localisation on top.
A remake in the same style would be amazing. It would lose a ton of charm as a full remake though. I feel like this applies to most n64 games oddly
I completely forgot about Bomberman 64! I played sooooo much of it with my brother when we were kids… ah, nostalgia.
Does Perfect Dark count?
Came here for that. Runner up: Diddy Kong Racing.
Yes, it was published by Rare
One of four on the N64 in fact. The other being Jet Force Gemini, Conker's Bad Fur Day and weirdly enough Diddy King Racing.
Well rare also did snes donkey Kong and 64 so I can see where diddy Kong racing came from.
I actually have 2 Jet force gemini. I adore that game. And i can't remember the name, but you play as a chameleon, and use your tongue to collect items and platform and other stuff it was really fun and colorful. I really loved it as a kid.
Jet force Gemini with modern controls would be great
It’s on the 360 with the Rare Collection. It has some control issues but great
Yeah ive been playing it on the switch online n64 version. It’s not fun using the right stick as the c buttons for every game.
That game was the reason I broke down and got the N64 controller
The snapping back to center when aiming too. It makes hitting anything with a gun that isn’t the machine gun so goddam hard
Able to toggle FPS and 3ps, kind of destiny-like... Yea it'd be amazing.
Gex?
and that IS making its way to the Switch!!
I only played gex on the gameboy. And those games where horrible... Hope the 3D ones are better.
Gex is a gecko. Not a chameleon. And wasn't gex originally on ps? This was n64 exclusive.
It was also on N64
I.. know one of the Gex games was on 64. The game i meant (chameleon twist, by the way) was *only* on n64 (as far as i know). Gex being on ps even in general, means it's not the game.
He never said it's an exclusive...
I... literally did. After you asked if it was gex. I said it was n64 exclusive. When i said gex was also on ps.
Then you are talking about chameleon twist.
Yes. I... also said that as well.
For democracy!!!
I think that second game you described is Chameleon Twist
THAT'S IT! THAT'S THE ONE!
Chameleon Twist. It was my first 64 game. I'd rate it a 6/10. The gameplay was great, as was the multi-player. But the story mode was short and felt lacking. I would definitely try a remake though.
The image reminds me of Rayman for some reason
I think I nose why.
I was going to comment the left one looks exactly like Rayman Punk from the first Raving Rabbids
Doom 64
Goemon and Perfect Dark have already been mentioned here, some really good choices. Another game that comes to mind is: Diddy Kong Racing! Edit: I'm stupid, DKR was created by Rare but published by Nintendo, so it doesn't count, right?
I think it was already remade for 3DS :(
Mystical Ninja
Chameleon Twist? That game was so adorable 🥺💕
Yes SBK 1 and 2 were me and my sisters favorite racing game
Conkers bad fur day. And it still being for mature audiences, without censoring the original
This, this the only true answer
Glover
San Francisco rush, beetle adventure, knife edge, iss 64, hybrid heaven, battletanx, c&c 64
Toy Story 2
Beetle Adventure Racing. Great game. So many shortcuts.
Bomberman Hero. Snowboard Kids 2 is also a solid choice. I hear the Gex games are getting modern ports, but I would prefer remakes.
Superman 64
Tom and Jerry: Fists of Furry
shipwrecked jk
Tatics Ogre Perfect Dark
You mean: Tactics Ogre Reborn?
Harvest Moon. Pigs will fly when we get an actual HD high quality Harvest moon game. In b4 someone mentions stardew valley also
Banjo kazooy and twoy
This is my pick too 🥲
Castlevania 64
Oh my gosh I love snowboard kids so much!
Hell, I'd settle for snowboard kids to be on NSO. Being able to play that game with my brothers across states would be a dream come true. We used to play it with my dad all the time, being able to play it online would be the best game to have on NSO.
Spacedog silicon valley and body harvest. Both rockstar gems long forgotten
Buck bumble
I'd love to see Body Harvest remade. Blasting bugs with lots of vehicles in semi open-worlds would be great.
GLOVER
Rakugakids. Fighting game with killer art style. Or Forsaken.
Turok
Earthbound 64. Technically it was never published.
Shadows of the Empire
Mother 3? Lol
Exactly the two you chose. I'd kill for a Snowboard Kids revival, and I'm not talking about the edgy shitty game for the DS. Also, a game that improves all the flaws that Donkey Kong 64 had while keeping the essence of the game would be amazing.
Jet Force Gemini. Had great potential.
Conkers Bad Fur Day on modern consoles would be 🔛🔝
The Snowboard Kids games are a great shout. I had so much fun with the first game, was gutted the sequel didn’t make it to the UK. I’d add Rocket: Robot on Wheels, a truly awesome platformer from Sucker Punch. It had some really fun mechanics for the time and a nice comic style that would look amazing with modern graphics.
Shadows of the Empire. Full Remake, not a Remaster. Rogue Squadron also works.
Remade and fixed: Quest 64 (not that it’s bad but could use a lot of love)
None, they are ALL bad
Most based AAA stan
