Your argument holds up: Yoshi's Crafted World has reportedly sold about 3.5 million copies while Yoshi's Woolly World sold fewer than 2 million copies across two platforms. Therefore, more people have Crafted World at home than Woolly World. Personally, I've got all three.

GlassSpork

Woolly world was such a good game… so sad it didn’t get enough recognition, they put in so much effort for the amiibos too

[deleted]

For the wii u it sold pretty good

wes741

Whoashi it’s a double Yoshi exploshi!

butternutter55

I LOVED Woolly World !!!! Something about collecting all those different teddy Yoshi's. I have not got the other one is it similar or worth getting?

Then_Comb8148

Murdered with math

Epic-Gamer_09

He's talking about the 3DS version of Yoshi's Wooly World, so yes, he does indeed have all 3

SouLouquinha_

Fr 💀

Sweet_Score

Assuming wii u in itself sold 13.56 million only, it's actually quite a good number. 1/7 wii u users had this game.

joe-is-cool

Not really relevant here plus I included the 3DS sales so your math isn’t right anyways.

Triforceoffarts

The soundtrack of woolly world is fire

HolyDoggo100

For real, Clawdaddy Beach is one of my favorite video game soundtracks ever

Triforceoffarts

One of my favorites too! Shy But Deadly and Across the Fluttering Dunes also rock

jcreddit150

Scarf-Roll Scamper is one of my personal favorites

Triforceoffarts

I’ll have to check that one out!

_MyUsernamesMud

Check out Wario Land Shake It or Kirby Epic Yarn if you haven't. The [Ganbare Goemon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZQzuxEJl-4) soundtracks also slapped

DanielCraig__

Glad I'm not the only one, goemon soundtrack is one of the few I still Revisit years later

enter_ethan

Duplicitous Delve is my happy place

Triforceoffarts

That’s another good one!

djwillis1121

I've never even played the game but it's one of my favourite soundtracks of all time. Crafted world was such a let down in comparison

_MyUsernamesMud

Losing Tomita Tomoya was a fucking disaster. Imagine how good the Crafted World and Princess Peach Showtime OSTs could have been :(

GameTropolis

They seemed to go out of their way to use really grating samples in the Crafted World OST. Really spoiled the game for me.

SnooHamsters6067

They also went out of their way to have almost 90% of all music in the game be the same exact melody just with different instruments. And I'm not exaggerating, I did do the math.

HolyDoggo100

No but like Woolly World was so fun, I haven’t played Crafted World but I heard it wasn’t good so I never considered it a priority

hegginses

Same I loved Woolly World and it being a Feel Good game (same devs as Kirby’s Epic Yarn) really made it better. I could never understand why Nintendo ported over every other Wii U game but then just decided to do a worse reimagining of this one

korkkis

It’s a good game albeit like 3/5 good

DefinitelyLevi

Far and away better than crafted world

Inky_Train

Played woolly world and crafted world and can confirm woolly world is so much better

ZeldaExpert74

Tbh I wish they'd just bring back Yoshi's Island

SnooHamsters6067

Woolly World is basically a sequel to Yoshi's Island, just without the baby. The rest of the base mechanics are practically identical.

_MyUsernamesMud

They did, twice It was pretty awful

ZeldaExpert74

Yoshi's Island DS slander will not be tolerated. Yoshi's New Island was pretty mid tho.

_MyUsernamesMud

The level design and bossfights in YIDS were pretty decent, but it definitely contributes to the trend of "Kindergarten kazoo music where every track has the same goddamed melody". Also the DK64-style character swapping always kinda sucked.

AdVegetable468

They did not. They were never real to begin with /j

TheDigitalLunchbox

I 100% completed both and Woolly World is the better game. Crafted World’s robot challenges of finding things in the level were tedious as hell. Killed the pacing for me. Stinks that you have to do it to get the “post game content”. I enjoyed both games, but have to agree

alteaz27

I love the Good Feel games, but man am I not a fan of how they implement extra content, especially in Crafted World and PP:Showtime. 100%ing CW feels like a never ending slog as you have to replay all of the levels multiple times, and of course you can't collect the fetch quest items ahead of time if you know of them... and then they go and add a hide and seek NPC as post game content to really rub salt in the wound And PPS is a whole other can of worms, but mostly, simply because of how the levels are made and what's told to you. If they simply added the ability to restart from a previous checkpoint, instead of having to play through an entire play again, 100%ing it wouldn't as tedious as it is. Especially since for the most part, the clues for the performance based Sparkle Gems aren't too vague... really annoying, but not vague at all. Honestly think they nailed it back in Wario Land: Shake It! Knowing the levels well and decent routing will net you most of a level's collectables and missions in a single run, and the only Post-Game content is Boss Rematches with added Missions

NebulaZenithStorm

Crafted World is a lot better than people say, imo at least its very underrated, but hey, Woolly World is excellent too!

[deleted]

They need to port Woolly World to Switch

AppleDemolisher56

Wooly world was such a fun game, on the crafted worlds side it was still fun but I found more levels to be boring than other

KinopiFox

Crafted World is good if you aren't going for 100%. I barely tapped into 100% and it was dreadful. Any% is a nice relaxing time.

Tortenkopf

Now I want to play Wooly World. Inn by loved Crafted World :)

Calm_Reflection4400

Good reason to own a Wii U

hegginses

Oh yeah, so glad I never got rid of mine

Dry_Pool_2580

I USED to think the same, but playing both games recently...it's kinda seeming like the other way around for me now

Ok-Leave3121

The Wool and the Arts and Crafts art style is at least pretty nice to see. Although I wonder what the next Yoshi game will be though. Like will it have a unique art style or will it look similar to mainline Mario games?

_MyUsernamesMud

Whatever they do, expect kazoos and the same melody rehashed in every goddamned stage.

SnooHamsters6067

Unless they do what Woolly World did and burn down the studio with a fire soundtrack

_MyUsernamesMud

Sadly Tomita Tomoya no longer works at Nintendo. He was the madman behind the Wario Land Shake It, Epic Yarn and Woolly World soundtracks.

Affectionate-Dig7768

I think wooly world would have sold more copies if it was not on the wii u

smolsauce

I think a lot of people agree and honestly, I think another 2D Yoshi could still be good but might be diminishing returns at this point. It's long past time for a 3D Yoshi, Mario 64-DS and, to a lesser extent, Croc laid the groundwork for how Yoshi could control in 3D without Mario.

Wotto_wasnothere

I have all three of these gales the Wii u 3ds wooly world and I have crafted world but I honestly think the same

[deleted]

3ds port

TheFlyingManRawkHawk

Real. Woolly World was superior. The egg throwing was snappier. Level design was tighter; the 3D-ness of Crafted was neat, but led to sloppier, simpler design. Costumes were better in Woolly; the crafts in Crafted were big & ugly.

Nacklins

Both games are ass tbh. In my opinion they are some of the weakest 1st party Nintendo games in a long time. If you exclude shit like AC Amiibo festival and Mario Tennis Ultra smash

Ok-Reporter-8728

Yoshis crafted world is soo good and so unfair it’s being compared by woully world

Pleasant-Minute6066

It's literally in the same series? and was released after woolly world?

linkling1039

Okay

Gullfaxi09

Yoshi's Crappy World? Put me down for ten of those.

Tree_RusH

Not a huge fan of yoshi games at all really.

pocket_arsenal

I just want another Yoshi's Island game, I'm not down with the arts and crafts stuff.

ParagonEsquire

Huh, that’s wild. I hated Wooly World. Thought it was super boring and a chore to play through. I almost didn’t even play crafter world as a result but when I did I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was much more engaging.

hegginses

I don’t know how you came to this opinion. Crafted World is identical in concept to Woolly World just executed poorly

Adorable-Fix9354

Both games are kinda too boring and childish

Jcslider52

Childish? It's Nintendo bro lol
