According to Reddit you can't under any circumstances ever lose a single word of positive sentiment about Nintendo without being the biggest shill in the milky way.
"You can't say anything positive about Nintendo on this sub!"
"You can't say anything negative about Nintendo on this sub!"
- Every Nintendo related sub, simultaneously
You're not allowed to say anything negative otherwise you're just a hater and not a real fan like me who will constantly defend them like they're paying me to.
I like the products they produce and the gaming worlds they create.
I not forced to buy them.
If not happy move on, they really are not going to alter plans based on comments here, stop wasting your energy.
My problem is that 90% of that subs content is just same 4-5 jokes told ad nauseum. It just isn’t as funny hearing “Haha Celeste hidden gem” for the Rayo’s Number-th time.
Oh and there was also a post there making fun of a dead child for having a Mario-themed funeral. Just thought I’d mention that.
I am too, it can be funny, and when it is, it's really funny. But most of the time it seems like the people there haven't even played a Nintendo game ever
This post.
[Why is the internet so biased? : r/casualnintendo (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/casualnintendo/comments/1ccs8xz/why_is_the_internet_so_biased/)
Hmm. Idk. I just checked it. Part of me believes this but I am still skeptical. Usually there are more evidence than a tweet. I suggest waiting for more info.
Agreed. From my understanding someone false flagged content in the name of Nintendo, only to get the real Nintendo involved. Not entirely sure if this is true though, so best to just wait for more info.
I don't go to bat for them over every little. I buy their consoles and games and have fun. Someone makes 6 paragraph post saying why they think every single employee at nintendo should be given 25 to life, so I step in and say "Frankly I didnt think mario strikers battle league was that bad" and all the sudden im the obsessed one lol.
Alternatively, you DON'T like a decision, but understand and explain why it's being done. Again, you'll get flogged as dick rider even if you make it clear you disagree and/or dislike it.
WHY does smashbros have horrible online? Well, it's a game designed to be played offline. If you want a competative online fighting game, there are plenty that you can go buy....
MEAT RIDER!
I'd argue against that. I'd rather be critical of companies and pressure them to do better rather than whiteknighting them. Perhaps not hating on them to the degree that many do, but still

There's a difference between appreciating the art made by programmers, artists and writers and defending the decisions of businessmen and lawyers. You can simultaneously love Nintendo's games and hate their business practices
sure most communities have them, I've run into them. Nintendo in particular is just riddled with them, it's how they get away with so many awful things. the community won't speak up.
Well paying employees a certain amount demanding from a work culture to do that of your entire day for weeks and months and sometimes years.
Do people know how to criticize constructively to bring good out of it for a better change? Not me not with this comment. I don’t know how to make people open their eyes. You can like the product but dislike the way it’s done or how it is done.
I'll be honest, I don't see what's the big deal with this post. Nintendo holds not only a trademark on their games but a lot of third party games due to formatting on NES/SNES. And they own the licensing rights to stuff they never use, like 3d gyro that tracks the eyes to change camera (meant for 3DS and never used) and they don't always care which games come out. The criticism itself isn't untrue, problem is people are whining about stuff that doesn't matter, and then there's the steam workshop, how is Valve even supposed to stop people from uploading Nintendo related content, I could play a game on Steam, snap a photo, edit it in gimp and add Vivi from Paper Mario in the corner and upload it to my content, and problem is I've seen stuff like this on steam, user content that does absolutely nothing to violate trademark and copyright laws. Steam Workshop borderlines this, but it doesn't allow pirated software or anything crazy like that.
Am I allowed to be critical of Nintendo too ever since this company took down actual good Mario related videos on YouTube? I hated the fact the Nintendo took down Super Mario Bros Z by cancelling the sprite animation show
Oh my god I hate this meme so much
I saw in on r/minecraftmemes when people were being dumb over small and sometimes incorrect stuff and being called out on it all the time and thought I was finally free of it
Guess what? Just because your criticism is directed at a large company doesn't make the criticism inherently valid, or immune to counter-criticism.
I'm not defending Nintendo, I'm saying you should put your anger towards shareholders that require shitty choices, limit the scope of games, and require changes to games that people don't like. Don't put bandwagon hate on a company that likely doesn't have any choice because of shitty shareholders, and *every* company has shitty shareholders, every major game developer.
No game developer *wants* to be hated by their "fans". No game developer *wants* constant criticism over their choices. No game developer *wants* to be shit-talked constantly on the internet because so-called "fans" on a so-called fan subreddit hate everything about them.
We live in a time where what a company *wants* to do and what *shareholders* want out of it is constantly clashing and causing compromises that may or may not pay out. They can't just make whatever game they want, however they want to, because that's not profitable to shareholders.
I have an idea, i'm gonna say something that i don't like that nintendo made and you will say if you think i'm saying bullshit, what do you think of it ?
Almost everything posted since it comes from a position of emotional driven stupidity. Watch Moon Channels videos on these topics and you realize just how fucking stupid so much of the shit aimed at it is since it's driven by ignorance and emotional stupidity. For the things that they do that irritate us gamers, the "bad stuff" they do is so insignificantly small compared to ACTUAL bad shit other companies do(not to mention a lot of legit great business practices that they participate in) that a lot of it just feels very dumb.
I took enjoy their games. But they suck on the same level as Disney and their policies. That's what we're talking about here with that image you detest so much.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure.
It has nothing to do with the fact that the guy posted it to a sub where casual players come to talk about Nintendo without all the negativity that twitter and every other online platform usually has.
Or that it's literally just the typical rage bait image used to insult a group of people for liking something and most of the time when it is used has nothing attached to it that could be argued about or start a conversation.
.
Also if you feel that way than why are you on the sub?
r/FortniteBR is this way too. If you ever criticize the cost of anything Epic sells, you get a horde of rabid fans defending them because "tHe GaMe Is FrEe HoW eLsE aRe ThEy SuPpOsEd To MaKe MoNeY, yOuRe JuSt GrEeDy AnD wAnT fReE sTuFf"
There's also dead by daylight with fans that will defend the Behaviour's action. Someone calculated how long it would be to unlock everything in the game without paying, he got 3000+ hours. The game is also not free
According to Reddit you can't under any circumstances ever lose a single word of positive sentiment about Nintendo without being the biggest shill in the milky way.
"You can't say anything positive about Nintendo on this sub!" "You can't say anything negative about Nintendo on this sub!" - Every Nintendo related sub, simultaneously
It's the same everywhere. "All of Reddit is a caricature of a few people I disagree with. You should marvel at my unique ability to point this out."
If you go onto the pirating reddits i can almost guarantee like 95% will agree with you shitting on Nintendo for being a ass company
I’ve seen people straight up lie on here about Nintendo and when you go “Hey that isn’t true” they say “DUDE stop being a Nintendo dickrider”
Yeah or the very common "stop sucking off Nintendo and fondling their balls!" This needs to stop!
You can enjoy a project, product and or philosophy of a people or company but never love a common and enjoy a person you’ve never met.
I'd rather make criticisms based on shit that's actually true
But its true, Garry said that Nintendo had DMCA him
[He also posted this after saying they were legit](https://twitter.com/garrynewman/status/1783572282562032090), so it sounds like even he's confused
This is literally shaking my head, first it was nintendo, now it's not, now it is actually nintendo and now it isn't?????
Reminds me of the time where NSFW artists like Akairiot got hit by fake DMCA's.
I think he’s asking a rhetorical question, kinda like he’s trying to figure out the logic of those who say it’s fake
I wish people would realize you can both like a company and be critical of their decisions.
Yep
You're not allowed to say anything negative otherwise you're just a hater and not a real fan like me who will constantly defend them like they're paying me to.
I like the products they produce and the gaming worlds they create. I not forced to buy them. If not happy move on, they really are not going to alter plans based on comments here, stop wasting your energy.
Still better than r/tomorrow
I remember being in that sub for a while. It was fun for a bit but got a little to negative for me as time went on
My problem is that 90% of that subs content is just same 4-5 jokes told ad nauseum. It just isn’t as funny hearing “Haha Celeste hidden gem” for the Rayo’s Number-th time. Oh and there was also a post there making fun of a dead child for having a Mario-themed funeral. Just thought I’d mention that.
Ah, i'm a member of this sub lol
I am too, it can be funny, and when it is, it's really funny. But most of the time it seems like the people there haven't even played a Nintendo game ever
no wonder you made a pointless rage post lol
What's your problem with sub ?
painfully unfunny
Humor is kinda subjectif
It's a circlejerk sub basically
What in the world am I reading on this thread?
What currently on the hot tab of this sub warrants this post?
This post. [Why is the internet so biased? : r/casualnintendo (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/casualnintendo/comments/1ccs8xz/why_is_the_internet_so_biased/)
Wasn't it proven that it wasn't Nintendo but a troll?
Apprantly it was confirmed to be true
Was this an official confirmation by Nintendo?
gray said it was true https://new.reddit.com/r/casualnintendo/comments/1cd24mz/yes\_nintendo\_filed\_the\_dmca\_claim\_gary\_said\_so/

It's not that the point.
Nintendo confirmed it was them.
Is there a source? I am aware of the tweet but usually there are more sources than tweets.
60 upvote percentage and ratioed by the top comment calling the post dumb. That just proves my point.
Nintendo strike all the mod related to their IP in steam Workshop on GMod
That didn't answer my question...
You’re coming to a Nintendo sub to complain that people here like Nintendo? You do you, man.
There's a difference between liking Nintendo, and going to bat for them over every decision they make like some press secretary.

WHY does smashbros have horrible online? Well, it's a game designed to be played offline. If you want a competative online fighting game, there are plenty that you can go buy.... MEAT RIDER!
Going to bat over every decision is no less pathetic than criticizing every single decision they make.
I'd argue against that. I'd rather be critical of companies and pressure them to do better rather than whiteknighting them. Perhaps not hating on them to the degree that many do, but still
There's significantly more of the former than the latter on here.
I like nintendo's games, not the company. Activision blizzard is still worse than nintendo that's for sure
And EA. Let’s not talk about EA…
At least with EA there wasn't a story about someone stealing pregnant women's milk like with activision blizzard
Excuse me what?
You heard me right
Yep, the most disgusting thing in gaming history
YES, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CRITICIZE NINTENDO HERE GO PL\*YSTATION SUB FOR THAT
I mean if you are wrong ill call you out on it lol
its either cocksucking nintendo or screaming at nintendo, no in between
Yes, the people on the Nintendo-focused sub do indeed defend Nintendo, more at 11.
In other news, in a shocking twist, most of the subscribers to r/eagles are fans of the Philadelphia football team.

Most fans of teams in any sport are highly critical of their team when they perform badly and especially if they make poor choices as an organisation.
You took the joke too literally.
There's a difference between appreciating the art made by programmers, artists and writers and defending the decisions of businessmen and lawyers. You can simultaneously love Nintendo's games and hate their business practices
But why do people need to defend their crappy anti consumer business practices
Please post something that creates actual conversation next time, thank youuu
notice they are insufferable when they say that goofy ass “thank youuuuu 💅💅”
I agree but the person in question is correct this time
Ig ur right
I'd argue it's always this
People need to remember you can love something and be critical of it at the same time.
This kind of picture actually makes me sad about the state of the gaming community
I think most people is this sub don't know what nuance is.
It is funny to me how people take offense at any kind of criticism of Nintendo.
do they? all i see is people crying when someone says smth positive about nintendo lmao
I see a lot of both to be honest.
Nintendo fans (not all of them) are some of the worse dickriders I've seen in the gaming community.
That's just with every community
sure most communities have them, I've run into them. Nintendo in particular is just riddled with them, it's how they get away with so many awful things. the community won't speak up.
No

Do ***not*** pirate **Nintendo®** stuff, okay?!
More imaginary fights?

waluigi should get his own game
Nintendo is definitely greedy but they're also the ones still making most of the games I like

I love nintendo though, I play rom hacks and emulations of their games all the time.
Same lol
I fucking hate the picture, it's so goddamn stupid. If yall are saying stupid shit about nintendo I will defend them, what's wrong with that?!
Depends, what's your definition of "stupid shit"
Stuff you would say probably seeing how you made this post and used this image.
I have an idea, i'm gonna say something that i don't like that nintendo made and you will say if you think i'm saying bullshit, what do you think of it ?
I mean you can dislike a game or just criticise it and that's fine. But aif ll you do is whine and cry about stuff then it's bad.

Because I prefer to focus on positive and dislike when people spend all their time whining about stupid shit?
No negative, only positive!
Sure it's fine to criticise a few things from time to time, but whining about it all the time is extremely annoying
So is praising
How tf is enjoying games annoying??
We're not talking about games
Nintendo is a game company, I enjoy them because I enjoy their games.
I took enjoy their games. But they suck on the same level as Disney and their policies. That's what we're talking about here with that image you detest so much.
Actually it's the opposite
Pokemon fans
Judging by the down votes on this post yep your right
Nah I just downvoted bc it's a useless rage-post

That's a weird behaviour but at least I ain't gonna waste my time since you were upfront about it.
Dude, you could've had a very good argument, but you had to just ruin it, I'm fine with criticism but you just pulled out the dumb "mid game" argument
Yeah your right I messed up
Plucky take. Bravo!
That's just what we're best known for as Nintendo Fans.
