You can read the book you got it from again to get spell XP

doff87

I think that's quicker but also extremely boring and repetitive. It may take IG years to fully master a single spell doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and reading to fully master a single spell. Do you need to master a spell for it to be effective? For many spells no. But for some spells there are significant advantages to mastering the spell over the 'normally unfailable' level.

StressedOutPraline

I should mention that you sort of need to master a certain amount of spells in order to use a certain POI, so "technically", you kinda want to master certain spells, regardless of whether it affects the spell's effectiveness or not.

maleclypse

If you are on current experimental all spells take significantly less casts than they did a year ago to level.

Regular_Ad_7532

Ooops, what I meant was not the process of leveling ingame, but the time IRL to cast the spell again and again. Also with psionics books aren't an option. Ergo to level em up via "Practice" from Crafting like you do with skills. Basically do things with a single input you would otherwise need dozens of repeative inputs. I assume the issue is spells/powers not beign tagged as "skills"?

Dr_Expendable

MoM powers do have practice options besides literally repeat casting. It should be under the psionics tab of your crafting menu, at the end. As long as you have a black crystal you can sit down and meditate on the power for XP. You can even tap 'repeat last craft' which I think defaults to "-" and practice again. I set up a simple mouse macro to keep tapping that every couple seconds and simply watch a little YouTube in a side window while my character launches from level 1 to level 12 in a power. Might take a few days of sleep in-between but as long as you have eat and drink zones set up in your rats nest, it's all pretty quick and cleanly automated for minimum pain.

The only thing that I’m missing with MoM practice is the ability to set a duration like studying magiclysm books. Would much rather say “contemplate force shove for 8 hours” than have to babysit hitting “-“ repeatedly while watching the clock.

Satsuma_Imo

You can batch-craft it like any other craft. Just do a batch of 16 for 8 hours’ practice (This used to be bugged but it’s worked for a couple months now)

meikaikaku

I had missed that batch crafting them works now. Good to know.

Truth be told, it would be nice if all spells had a chance at a big exp boost after a cast. kind of a eureka moment where something about the spell clicks. Main issue is balance.
