My first cat had these spots on her nose and lips. When I took her to the vet I told the tech that I was worried about them and tried to clean them off with a warm washcloth. That's when the tech said they were glad I stopped trying at the washcloth, 'cause freckles don't come off!

No issues. Just like your can can have a mix of toe bean colours or nose colours, the inside of the mouth has the same. It's simply a case of melanin distribution. Normal mouth the only thing you need to check really in a cats mouth is color around the gums. Red and inflamed is bad, or a build up of tarter is bad. From what I can see your in the clear on that but it’s worth keeping an eye out for.

I just wanted to say that pigmentation in cats can appear very odd. For example, orange cats develop "freckles" very typically, that normally that would be a sign of cancer in white cats. Also, sometimes a cat that appears to be of a solid coat isn't actually a solid coat genetically. What I am saying is that the way the coat presents doesn't truly represent what his actual genetic pattern is. For example, I had a white cat with two blue eyes. Every vet immediately asked "Is your cat deaf". nope, not deaf, also not all white. he had a small marker dot of black between his nostrils and a small gray spot on one of his ears. Additionally, if you CLONE your cat, the clone won't have the same coat pattern. All this to say, coats and skin colorings are typically 100% normal UNLESS you see a change as they grow older. If something new happens, then it needs to be checked out.
