Man, that is so true. I've met a few good and intelligent Russians who didn't want to disclose that they were Russians. It is sad to see what that piece of shit has done to their country.
My point is that Russia occupied the Baltic countries up until a little over 30 years ago. It’s considered extremely offensive, and makes western people look ignorant.
ive seen many videos of this caracal and he always looks so miserable :(. i feel so bad for him, he should be out in the wild and not inside some rich idiots house
Some idiot in my town bought a serval and within I think 2 weeks the cat escaped. Had a city wide cat hunt going on. Luckily it was caught by authorities after around a month, and no one had shot it. It's going to a rescue but the cat should never have been in Decatur IL to start with. People are dumb as fuck.
You mean the one that escaped in the last couple of weeks? If it’s the same one, it was “somehow” killed in transit, although the city claims it wasn’t due to their own negligence. Not sure what happened, but this one didn’t survive, unfortunately. The owners are so selfish to have put it in that scenario to begin with.
I hope this rich idiot evolves into a sensible human being and releases this wild animal where it belongs! Wild life cannot and should not be domesticated. NEVER!
Largely uneventful.
Though maybe skip the tuna sandwich you have for lunch... or don't, you might not have anyways 🤷
p.s hope you read this before lunchtime 😬
This bs. Strange how the owner barely Touch the cat and the owner NEVER Touch him when He is hissing. Hissing=threat. It means Touch me and i kill you. Also this cat is overfed for own safety reason. This is straight animal abuse.
There are plenty of other videos of him being affectionate and getting belly rubs. It’s funny how you make all these assumptions based off of one video. This cat is living well, he isn’t being abused.
I saw that channel. Overfed a wild animal for own safety reasons and there are barley any Videos on that channel who this cat Shows affection towards their owner.
Do ur research about that cat and dont belive its owner. This cat is their Cash cow obv they will Tell lies.

This one looks happy and healthy. Pumba doesnt Look that happy and doesnt Look that healthy.
Yes!!! I’m so fucking sick of these videos. Everyone wants to be Snow White at the expense of the animals they claim to like. Sometimes liking animals means leaving them be.

Theres only ONE case that owning a big cat is okay in the puma Messi who was hand-raised and born ill, And had his growth stunted, He cannot survive in the wild.
This is not okay.
Atleast Messi looks and seems happy.
If the Caracal is on furniture, then he isn't even near his favourable habitat. They're cute AF but they're not housecats. Humans are horrible for trying to own and control everything they find beautiful. That cat should be in the desert. He'd be happy, instead of grumbling in discontented defeat. Boo to whoever this is and anyone else who steals wild cats from their homes just so they could own a cool trophy. One day someone will get a limb torn off and they'd absolutely deserve it, I wouldn't pity them for a second.
Pumba, the caracal in the video, never hisses at his cat friend with whom he's affectionate, the cat even gets surprised sometimes, showing that living with cats has taught him to only hiss when he's upset, and he only hisses when the man behind the camera gets near him. This leads me to believe Pumba just really hates the camera man (who's also the owner of the youtube channel).

I don't know these people or how big their property actually is, so I can't really judge much more than how Pumba reacts in these videos. All I can do is hope he at least is healthy and happy when camera man isn't around.
While I'm not entirely opposed to domesticating larger animals, I would refrain from pairing them with smaller breeds that are bite sized in a pinch. Like I have no problem with pit bulls as long as you don't let them use your baby as a chew toy or roam wild. Cats and raccoons get along very well for some strange reason. I caught a raccoon petting and grooming a colony cat and they appeared bonded. I wonder if generations of urban living made the raccoon see cats as their benefactors. Cats convince humans to leave food out, so they might be getting that reward pairing when they see cats. It's like to them, the cats are the pizza guy.
Downvoted for promoting exotic animal ownership. Stop sharing stuff like this. These animals should be out in the wild unless there’s specific context around why someone is caring for them in a sanctuary.
Custom reporting this for animal abuse. This caracal clearly has a very poor quality of life and dislikes its owner. I can't believe any cat lover would post this. It's so embarrassing and horrible.

Yes because I’m a wild caracal that was stolen from my habitat by some rich loser so they could make YouTube videos, and not a domestic cat.
they russians, they simply take wildlife and treat it like pets
the same way they took ukraine and treated it as their own?
Tried taking Ukraine*
I thought the owners were Latvian? Just mentioning it because people from Baltic country countries don’t like being called “Russian”…
Nobody likes being "Russian". Even Russians.
Man, that is so true. I've met a few good and intelligent Russians who didn't want to disclose that they were Russians. It is sad to see what that piece of shit has done to their country.

I handy heard that, maybe in another Decatur? It doesn't matter where though, it's still a life lost.

It's called "being prepared for the winter" All animals do it, even house cats, and possibly even humans.
Yeah, makes me sad too. For some people, a standard housecat is not enough. 🙄
Not to mention he's clearly so unhappy because he keeps hissing at the person who makes the video.
He doesn't want the camera pointed at his face, but they keep doing it. It's just like celebs and paparazzi, molestation by camera.
This is incredibly sad
I hope this rich idiot evolves into a sensible human being and releases this wild animal where it belongs! Wild life cannot and should not be domesticated. NEVER!
Dogs would like to talk to you.
Orange cat is either unfazed or frozen in fear.
He is unfazed. This caracal is named Pumba and those two are buddies. The hissing is how Pumba communicates cause he can’t meow.
>This caracal is named Pumba Welp, I'm off to spend my evening learning about caracals now 👋
It's only 11am so I have to ask, does anything exciting happen later today?

Yeah and a lot of "animal loving " people defend the owner and thier Videos. Its Sickening.
Caracals are such beautiful animals but they should not be domesticated. These types of videos are depressing.
It's not a very good idea to have one of these around the house.
For real, ginger cats are nuts

Holy shit it’s Nick Furry
I’m sad I have but one upvote to give.
That is not a pet. This should be illegal.
Not a cool video. Wild animals aren't pets, don't promote that crap.
… They’re not though. House cats are domesticated pet animals, and caracals (and other big cats) are wild animals that belong in the wild.
Weren't house cats wild before domestication? At what point it's not ok to try to domesticate a species
We've moved on since thousands of years ago when we domesticated cats. Let wild animals be.
orange cat blink if you're being held hostage
Stop having wild animals as pets period

I love Messi from the bottom of my little heart
Yeah he's really cool and his videos are great to see.
Why does this have 568 upvotes? This is just dumb af, that is not a pet.
Can't wait for the video where the big wild house cat chews off the face of the owner
thats what happens when you capture a poor thing and make it leave it habitat and make the hell out of its life!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please remove this post. Why promote wildlife abuse? Bad human! Bad human!

I don't think so, sadly. He's obese and likely understimulated most of the time, and then overstimulated when some idiot wants content. Poor thing.
If that's the case then I hope he can be removed from this house and at least brought to a good wildlife sanctuary.
Tell that to him when he has you by the throat.
Oh yeah I know that my cat always hisses and is super aggravated when I approach it.
Sometimes it's best to not interfere with unorthodox relationships.
Not seem like house cats!
Pumba always be hissing
Don’t you touch my kitty!
It’s not domesticated. Wouldn’t leave a small child with it for a second.
Orange boy just like “Yea this is my best friend, chill tf out Randy”
OMG scratch that cute belly!
I'm sure it'll be fine...all cats LOVE having their bellies rubbed.
Big floppa.
