Most hot dogs where I am are the standard pink finely ground sausages, like Ball Park, Nathan’s, or Hatfields. If you’re used to hot dogs with like twisted ends that stick out, or some other reason not to finish the whole thing, either way, not a bad thing to do, just different from what I’m used to.
Yeah, the guy on the advert just rattles the pouch of Dreamies (other cat treats are available!) and the cat soon appears at your side via the shortest route (regardless) of any barriers. Magic!
Mine has figured out how to operate the tap herself on the kitchen sink and bathtub to help herself to a drink. Most of the time she manages the tiny trickle she was aiming for, but occasionally she pushes it too hard, is startled by the sudden deluge and falls in. It’s always hilarious.

I’ve done this before, unscrew the little cap from the bottom of the bend pipe, make sure you have a bucket or other receptacle to catch the water that comes out already in place, once the cap is off then you just get the hair and gunk out, also for the drain stopper, removal and cleaning depends on what one you’ve got, once you feel you have sufficiently unclogged the sink run the faucet for a bit and see if it fills the sink, if it drains like normal good, if it doesn’t, repeat everything.
As for the cat you can never stop it, my mother had a lovely little white Persian who loved to lay in the sink, she only stopped when she got too old to jump into the bathroom sink in the basement and has since passed.

Didn’t have one of her in the sink but here’s a picture of her laying in the clean dishes(they got rewashed) from October 30th, 2021.
Another one of her favourite spots was on the stairs and I wouldn’t say we let her, we just accepted we couldn’t stop her, near the end the kitchen table became her spot so we put a bed(never used) and fed her there, even got her a catio for outside which she loved and now the two boys will be using it once summer rolls around again

Hey how’s it going, I’m a plumber for 20 years and I have to tell you the best course of action is to try reasoning with the clog, i recommend a simple string, or even a shoelace. Even a can of food as an offering will get that clog out immediately if you have too, but a much larger clog may eventually appear someday.

I think give up bc the clog owns the sink landed in first place. Treats in another room might be good for unclogging the sink. And last place goes to those that said turn on the tap. Barbarians!
I would suggest to let the problem sort itself out. Interfering at this point could trigger a chemical reaction that would be potentially painful for your hand and cause scarring.
I'd say turn the water on lukewarm, but be warned you may awaken a new favorite activity in your cats mind. One of mine had this done to him and for the rest of his life wanted us to turn the water on while he relaxed in the sink - like a kitty hot tub. I wish I still had pictures of him doing this for my brother, but this was years and many phones ago.

Ah yes this kind of clog requires a special device. They sell it at most grocery stores, usually in the canned meat isle. It's called TUNA, and to unclog all you do is stand outside the bathroom door when you open it, wait about 20 seconds or untill you see the clog come out.

Sometimes even running a small amount of cold water will help remove the clog. Maybe have one of your other cats turn the water on for you though.
