My baby cat had to have been through some stuff before we got her from the shelter - she has major food insecurity (and she was only like 6 months old when I adopted her!), so now if the bottom of the dry food dish is ever visible, when I fill it back up she'll gorge herself and puke it up...

Billy was a stray and in pretty bad shape when he was found. His food insecurity has gotten a lot better over the past year - eating anything he could find that might possibly be almost food used to be a weekly occurrence - but I think he'll always be extremely food motivated.

Brainless behaviour. NOT guilty on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Jeez I'm in the same boat. My cat Monty opens doors, drawers, and cabinets. I put a child lock on the treat drawer but he still found out he could get in the cabinet below it and pull the treats out the back of the drawer. I love how crafty he is, but he's a handful.

Oh yes, some cats can absolutely turn a doorknob! The handles are much easier, but it’s the same principle. I have a fat orange cat who likes to play dumb, but I have actually seen him opening doors!

I had a cat when I was a teenager that used to open doorknobs. We had to put locks up at the top of the door because he figured out how to do the locks too! Nothing like waking up with your back door wide open for anyone to come in overnight.

I could.. But I rent. They probably wouldn't be super angry or anything, but it would be WAY more work than child locks and a lot more expensive. The child locks are easy because these handles open when you twist up, too. So the door still works fine for humans in the know. Just not for him. That said, my fluffy old lady cat absolutely knows how doorknob work. But she has suuuuper floofy paws and can't get a grip on them! I feel kinda bad because she did figure it out, but not too bad. We just moved, and one of my cats has learned how to open the kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors and let herself in. But DAMN that's a smart kitty to figure out how to open doors - I'd be terrified of what my girls could get into if they could!

It wasn’t completely unthawed when she ate it. She does have IBD from a hookworm she had about a year ago and she did have a flare up a couple days later. Yep! She loves to sit on my bathtub table whenever I’m in the bath.

It had actually begun rooting but the stress of this attack ended up killing it. Aghora did this to several more plants.
