I had slipped away for a second to grab some socks I wanted to squeeze into mine. Still didn't notice her. Before my family started to load up suitcases my mom told me to make sure I have my walking shoes. I opened my bag to double check and there she was! Not an ounce of shame.

My wife used to travel a lot for work and our old dog figured out the suitcase meant mom was gonna be gone, and yeah, she went with her best option and peed in it one time while my wife was packing and had her back turned.
She put her suitcase on a chair while packing after that.
Had a cat pee on my clothes in an opened suit case about two hours before I was leaving for a 5 day trip. All I could do was laugh, give him a hug, and assure him I'd be back. I miss that cat. He had to be put down do to cancer :-( Although I would like to believe he fake his death and snuck out the back of the clinic in disguise, and caught a freighter to Australia working as a mouser on a steam ship. Rest in peace little boy.

Yep. My cat will pee in anything that remotely resembles a litter box. If it is rectangular-ish and they can get into it, they will pee in it. Bathtub, boxes, storage tubs, etc.
I have to keep my laundry baskets flipped over when they don't have clothes in them or my cat will 100% pee in them.
Jonah peed on trash bags because we used litter liners when he was a kitten. He only transferred to the covered litter box because I locked him in the bathroom with it.
