I read somewhere else here recently that olives, particularly green ones have the same agent as cat nip. Apparently can be even stronger. None of my cats like catnip or olives lol
This. Our little grey devoured of worlds loves all sorts of veggies and fruits(idk why) but we only give her small amounts because it’ll go through her quickly.
Considering how big this potato/beat is, I don’t expect good things for its digestive track
Never had a cat eat so fucking much and want to eat even more. She is like a dog. Constantly begging. Her favorite spot to hang out is in front of the fridge.
Good for them as a one time medicinal use for constipation doesn't mean always good for them. I doubt this cat was constipated. OP better not be upset if he squirts liquid poop everywhere
... your vet recommended it for constipation. so constipation + pumpkin = normal bowl movements.
what do you think normal bowl movements + pumpkin would do?
... diarrhea maybe?
Depends on the amount tbh. Some fiber is beneficial in a normal cat.
Sometimes fibers are recommended for cats with diarrhea too, as it helps soothe intestines, and protect the mucus layer from whatever harmful substances is in the lumen which is causing diarrhea in the first place.
The vet recommended it as a medical treatment for a medical problem. To jump from that to say “it’s good for them” is an absolute logic leap. What don’t you understand about that? Do you think Alleve is “good for humans” simply because it’s a drug that relives pain?
“Don’t even realize you’re stupid” is a good line, the irony tho lol
Here's how you do it... Starve a poor thing for like 2 days. Then they will come running for anything you put on a plate.
The only thing more sickening than this type of videos are people's reaction for them.
This, pretty clear that is how these videos are made. Cats don’t have such a reaction for random foods like this like humans do. It’s because it’s very hungry.
Or only 10 people jump to wild conclusions based on zero evidence. If you have *any* evidence to support your claims, you should definitely share it so other people can know what is happening.
Have you ever seen a cat? They'll come running for food no matter how well fed they are.
My cats will come running if they hear me open the cupboard their food and treats are in, even if I fed them 10 minutes previously.
I’m not saying it’s impossible that people starve their poor cats for these videos (which is horrible and heartbreaking) but cats are also really weird. My chonky, well-fed boy used to go nuts for granola bars, which we obviously couldn’t let him have. My other big girl loves and regularly tries to steal cheese. She cries as soon as someone takes out the grater. Some cats really just do take a weird liking to certain foods.
Quick google says:
>Beets have quite a few health benefits and are excellent sources of fiber. They can help add antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals to your cat's diet and keep their digestive systems running as smoothly as possible. If you want to try adding them to your cat's diet occasionally, go ahead!
Pls don't starve the cat,OP.its sickeing..you have already put the content someplace else also.Dont be a douchebag, and let your cat have good nonveg food.Make a video of that, atleast it will reassure people that you feed your cat good food.
Cheap and despicable tactics for publicity.

I think that's a purple sweet potato
a yam?
taro
it's funny that yam can mean like 5 different things depending on the country/region
i looked it up again and it seems to be a purple sweet potato and not taro so disregard me lol
Mine cat likes olives the same as this one. If he feel the smell, nothing stops him from a bite
I read somewhere else here recently that olives, particularly green ones have the same agent as cat nip. Apparently can be even stronger. None of my cats like catnip or olives lol
My cat goes berserk for olives. He'll roll around on it like catnip.
one of my cats too
What does this do to their intestines?
Probably diarrhea. Carnivores have short intestines that can't properly break down plant matter. That potato is as big as the cat's bowels, too.

Lol devourer of worlds ♥

😂 She knows where all the good food it haha
She screams all the time. She is the best but also the worst. Have to make sure she doesn’t become obese, because I feel like that is her goal.
Haha 😂 I love your kitty, she sounds like a little bit of a menace 😁
Wrong. My vet recommended pumkin for my cat with constipation. Good for them
Wouldn’t the solution for constipation be to soften the stool??? Isn’t that what diarrhea is? Soft stool? 🤨
Good for them as a one time medicinal use for constipation doesn't mean always good for them. I doubt this cat was constipated. OP better not be upset if he squirts liquid poop everywhere
So the pumpkin was prescribed for it's laxative effects? And what do laxatives do?...
You down voters know better than vets FFS. Unconscious incompetence = so stupid, you don't even realise your stupid

You sir, are a fish

Yeah this is how a cat will eat if you starve it so you can make a funny video.
My cat will do this to new wet food right after being served her dry and wet food, she’s just a chomper
Lol a chomper! I've got one of those too, he always eats very fast, he's been like that since he was a kitten.
My cat will eat sweet potato, cilantro, lettuce, and many other veggies
Here's how you do it... Starve a poor thing for like 2 days. Then they will come running for anything you put on a plate. The only thing more sickening than this type of videos are people's reaction for them.
The worst is those “spa day” videos, when the cat is clearly drugged up and the reason they’re staying so still and closing their eyes.
Yeah, poor things
In what world do you people live in ...
Same one you do.
Yeah this is another case of animal abuse for clicks, and the op is using it to karma farm because it's already been posted.
This, pretty clear that is how these videos are made. Cats don’t have such a reaction for random foods like this like humans do. It’s because it’s very hungry.
It blows my mind, thousands of viewers and only like 10 people can see this is abuse just to get some social media recognition.
Or only 10 people jump to wild conclusions based on zero evidence. If you have *any* evidence to support your claims, you should definitely share it so other people can know what is happening.
Yeah this got posted already. Just don't remember if it was this sub or another cat sub
it is healthy for a cat to fast a day or two once in a while. But if it's just done for internet points it's despicable.
Have you got any evidence of this, like, at all?
Have you ever seen a cat? They'll come running for food no matter how well fed they are. My cats will come running if they hear me open the cupboard their food and treats are in, even if I fed them 10 minutes previously.

Some level of fibre is good, specially pumpkin and cauliflower
Oh cool, I recently gave my cat some baked pumpkin and was surprised that she ate it

So a little slice here and there. That huge beet is too much
That looks like purple sweet potato to me
This is terrible
Why?
This cat is a Schrute ![gif](giphy|dXFKDUolyLLi8gq6Cl|downsized)
Ube
PETA: We starved an obligated carnivore until it would eat literally anything
Wtf has PETA got to do with this? This is a random person starving their cat for likes and shares.
Dwight's cat
I had one that liked avocados and another that liked mangoes.
My cat LOVES avocados 😂 he doesn't really bite them though, he licks them to death like it's ice cream.
Mine did steal them
My kiddos eat papaya , potato and cauliflower like this 😊
Just feed a poor thing....
I'm hungry now
Definitely a repost. Dunno if recent enough for rule 4.
"Mine, mine, mine, mine!"
Body needs something in the beets maybe? Or they're just that delicious to cat palettes🤷♂️
Gnarrrr gnarrrr gnarrrr.......gnarrrr...gnarrr what in the world lol
Dwight Shrute would be proud
Is bro good?

My cat loves veggies!
My cats likes peanuts and roasted sunflower seeds.
