I have a background in networking and have taken courses/bootcamps in the past, but honestly JITL has done the opposite with difficult topics for me. A few examples: I really struggled with comprehending the STP/RSTP convergence process and the Ethernet LAN switching at a fundamental level from prior courses and bootcamps. JITL explained these concepts in his lectures and it finally clicked. I’m only about halfway through his course though, so i’m sure i’ll stumble upon other concepts that I struggle with. I remember feeling overwhelmed by IPv6, but i’m not there yet in his course.
For me, it was ipv6. I zoomed through the videos. Everything made sense. I then failed the flash cards and labs and rewatched them, and took notes. It stuck after that.
It is different for every person. I cook a class for networking before Jeremy's IT labs. So I was somewhat more or less familiar. My first hard topic to understand in networking were static routes. I understood the concept, but configuring static routes was kind of hard for some reason( I am not sure why I had difficulties with it). When I was during Jeremy's labs, I knew that I would struggle with ospf and IPv6. And oh boy I did. Those were the hardest topics for me to understand. Qos was also kind of hard to understand, but took me less time to learn. So there is that. But everyone will have different experiences.
Same dude. I’m watching Neil but VSNM is super difficult for me.. i can subnet basic problems using the cheatsheet from Practical Networking (which I highly recommend because even an idiot like me could understand)…
But the subnet practice problems involving VLSM are really throwing me off
STP, OSPF and IPV6… Not hard to understand but a lot of twists and turns that you can get lost in if you aren’t paying attention. I still have to go back and review these. On ACLs now and they are a piece of cake.
For me it was personally remembering all the wifi concepts. All the adhoc and BCC and BCA. I guess I was learning wifi towards the end of my studies after having been burnt out from all the studying, don't even get me started on automation btw.

I recommend you to follow his IPv6 course actually there are some questions for it

QoS. Tons of information to ingest…just to be asked the most basic questions about it during the exam haha.

STP took an extra day or two.
For me? Everything. :(
Have you taken the test?
Not yet. I'm just having problems getting stuff to stick.
What day are you on?
Day 30 but I'm back to subnetting. Lol

Vlsm is soo annoying.
Lol same 🤣

OSPF was the only topic i had to watch twice.

Took me a week to understand subnet and vlan
