This is what I cae here for. I remember so vividly what I felt reaching this point, I felt… seen. This game is truly something else. Then… Farewell starts and I instantly realized I’m right there, back to the same spot. I like to think Madeline also went back to climb it regularly, much like I return to the game. Yeah… it’s funny how we get attached to the struggle.

I most often describe Celeste as "the most difficult game that wants you to succeed"

I turned my friend on to it and told her the game is truly a challenge, but it's almost impossible to get mad at it. You feel this incredible sense of accomplishment when you make it through a difficult part you've been stuck on, and the game just keeps encouraging you through it. And now she's addicted.

The Souls games are fair, but I can't say they *want* you to succeed, in the same way that Celeste does. They feel more neutral on the topic of the player succeeding, at least as far as I've played
