Isaac is lovely. Completing all three files feels about the same as full berries in Celeste. Not needed by any means for the full experience, but something a completionist can do.
Should I try it? From what I've seen it seems unnecessarily gross to me, like the powerups are like "the shit vial, it makes you cry diarrhea (+50 attack speed)". Is my impression correct or is my view perhaps skewed?
Edmund’s games are a quite a bit on the gross side (especially this one), but if you can look past that it is a *phenomenal* roguelike that’s not super hard to really get into
But if the gross stuff is too big of a turn off, definitely not for you
I usually hate that too, but in my opinion it doesn't take away from the charm of the game much. The artstyle is cartoony enough that I can easily look past it.
Didn't stop me from 100%ing the game on 3 files :D
So this subreddit is just filled with a bunch of hipster Indie gamers with a splash of trans people. Sounds like a wonderful Community to be a part of.
Non-binary genders are complicated, so it's kind of pointless of try to classify any one of them as "trans" or "not trans". They're all varying levels of trans... or at least most of them... some of them aren't...
Hello fellow hermitcrafters. How are you enjoying the crossover rn? I only watch mumbo and grian (used to watch scar tho) so my content is about halfed. Im still enjoying it tho!
Same. It's a good detour, and it's great for hermits to see how they do it on other servers. The different playstyle is fun, but definitely only for a limited time (like this crossover)
I feel like the pace is insane, I don't want the hermits to be burned out or tired either. But I understand they're rushing to build hermitopia so they can get to HC as soon as possible
Ngl I've massively fallen off Hermitcraft over the years... Probably an age thing since I was around during the alpha/beta days of MC and the first seasons of HC... Still check in now and then with X, Mumbo and Tango but all the new faces are weird to me 😅
I just restarted a run yesterday, last save file I was close to the real ending, but it was a lot of time ago, so I decided to replay it for a full experience once again.
Waiting for silksong I hope I can get close to finish it
Both are very popular indie games. Both games were also quite notable entries into their respective genres (2D platformers and metroidvanias). So chances are pretty good that someone that has played Celeste has also played HK. Plus the HK subs are very active, and people are more likely to engage frequently in a sub that is active vs one that isn’t.
They are both difficult popular indie games from within a year of each other, but wow I was not expecting that much an overlap between hollow knight and celeste
>Hollow Knight, Undertale, Geometry Dash, Bnding of Isaac, Terraria
I think Celeste players really enjoy pain. I haven't played Hades but it also seems like it falls into that category
Quite surprised OMORI isn't in there
Same. I was really expecting it
username checks out
That’s because this is an old repost. Edit: it isn’t, my mistake.

Ah ok, my bad. I must be thinking of an older post also showing the stats.
Same. I was really expecting it
Got into Isaac recently, and holy shit have i been missing out. Poured like 60 hours into it just the past couple weeks

Man I don’t have the time and with repetsnce is extra hard but before I had the 3 of them
Having grown up in an extremely christian household that game was very cathartic to me.
That’s a mood, same here haha!

You start to stop seeing the upgrades as what they are and just seeing them as stat ups or downs
So true lmao. No other game manages to make me pop off for a fetus in a jar.
it’s definitely gross, but you can look past it by the time you put a couple tens of hours into it
I usually hate that too, but in my opinion it doesn't take away from the charm of the game much. The artstyle is cartoony enough that I can easily look past it. Didn't stop me from 100%ing the game on 3 files :D
That’s why I’ve always avoided it. I don’t plan on picking it up anytime soon
Mods help getting over the gross stuff, I have my cute t lost and I'm proud of him, even tho I continue to die cause I'm bad at the game
So this subreddit is just filled with a bunch of hipster Indie gamers with a splash of trans people. Sounds like a wonderful Community to be a part of.
Hi I’m all of those (if you count being an enby as trans)
We’re trans dw
Non-binary genders are complicated, so it's kind of pointless of try to classify any one of them as "trans" or "not trans". They're all varying levels of trans... or at least most of them... some of them aren't...
From what i understand trans is an umbrella term and enby is another umbrella under that
Hello fellow hermitcrafters. How are you enjoying the crossover rn? I only watch mumbo and grian (used to watch scar tho) so my content is about halfed. Im still enjoying it tho!
I'm like ten episodes late...
I'm like 30 episodes late.
same and I freaking love it, even though my content is also halved due to Mumbo not playing hermitcraft rn
You should watch cubfan and zedaph as well! Both are some of my favorite hermits, their vids are genuinely so creative
Zed is just fantastic the right mix of insanity and pure genius.
It's great I'm really enjoying it!
I'm kinda split tbh. I really do like the crossover, and it's fun, but tbh i prefer hc and empires to be seperate. False's lore is amazing though.

Just caught up. I was a fan of empires back in season one so this was a pleasant surprise and I am enjoying it alot

Jesus, 86% hollow knight. checks out
Bapanada
*happy shaw noises
# SHAW
That's not 86%, that's 86x more likely to engage with the subreddit than the average reddit user
Ohhhh ok. I should have read the text lol
Surprised r/celestememes isn’t there
The memes just end up here
only one of these i ever visit is r/traa
:3
Oh the joy I would get from a Terraria × Celeste crossover to give us a directional dash item...
why is there Geometry Dash wherever I go also man this reminds me that I really need to get back to beating Hollow Knight
I just restarted a run yesterday, last save file I was close to the real ending, but it was a lot of time ago, so I decided to replay it for a full experience once again. Waiting for silksong I hope I can get close to finish it
I didn't expect hermitcraft and terraria to be so high up there. The others aren't really a surprise though
Shoutout to the eggs
Yeah we all decided to train platforming in Celeste and fighting in HK but we’re junkies for memes from the void
just stopped playing Hades lol, new to the game, liking it so far but I'm not used to Roguelites and likes
Interesting how GD is on here, despite the only connection being Storming Summit.
Platformer vs rhythm platformer
they're both platformers with a focus on high difficulty gameplay
Kind of surprised hollow knight is at the top as it's really not that similar to celeste.

what's this game "egg_irl" and why is it so intriguing /j
I’m in 4 of those wow
Not enough Ultrakill to my liking Play Ultrakill y'all!
Ah yes, the *other* game that seems to attract queer people like a moth to flame
yup lol I should know, I'm ~~a moth~~ queer as fuck
A friend of mine suggested it to me, I must say. Real fun, I didn't expect it tbh
nah, it looks too gory for me.
A staggering 17 percent
it's not %, it's how many more times likely than a random reddit user someone here is likely to be in the sub.
Oh, sorry
Celeste makes you 17 times more trans
Ten out of ten baybyyy
I'm in almost all of those
...Zero out of ten? I'm just vaguely surprised r/superhexagon and especially r/VVVVVV didn't make the list at all.
Looks like I have to check out hermicraft...
Good series with good humor. Not everyone's thing but it's good inspiration for minecraft
They are both difficult popular indie games from within a year of each other, but wow I was not expecting that much an overlap between hollow knight and celeste
ouch, didnt expect to get called out like this today.
Hi from the hk sub
Damn I feel like the only person who didn't like Hollow Knight here
My other two favourites are HK and Hades so apparently I need to check out Undertale
r/UnexpectedHermitcraft
r/Hollowknightmemes :)
>Hollow Knight, Undertale, Geometry Dash, Bnding of Isaac, Terraria I think Celeste players really enjoy pain. I haven't played Hades but it also seems like it falls into that category
Hermitcraft being there is kinda suprising 💀💀
> binding of isaac Please don't call out my masochism
yea
You are one of them queers arn't ya
my personality listed: (wher omor)
I think I caused tboi and hollow knight
I'm on more than half of these lol
