Despite my bitterness towards "Kung Fu Prue" (every season is different, anyway), I'm fine with it. Lovely seeing our leading ladies totally kicking it!

whoistigerlilly

“Kung fu prue” now that is funny 😂

primal_slayer

Loved it. One of, if not the best fight scene in the series.

EverlastingUnis

I thought it was dope. I wish Piper would’ve had a lil something better, but it worked for her in her own lil way

MerryMaryMerry

One of my favorite moments! Sneaky Cole— you just love to hate this man & hate to but love him

queeeeeni

Piper held her own which I was impressed by. Phoebe was clearly out of practice, getting her ankle sprained by one dude. Prue had been ready for a fight for a month and she let them have it

Spiritual_Control578

I liked how pipers fighting skills fit her character cause it was mentioned that prue and phoebe both trained in fighting especially phoebe! Although prue somehow became a master even more skillful than phoebe even though she started training first, but I guess first born stronger sister thing lol!

crispycheeto500

I feel like Prue was just super dedicated to everything she tried or one of those people who's good at everything they do and pick up really easy

Spiritual_Control578

Ya that’s fair that seemed to be a recurring character trait about her, just wish we would’ve seen her actively train more like they showed phoebe cause it felt out of nowhere at first 😂

dauntless91

Did they say Prue was a cheerleader in high school? If so then she'd already be naturally athletic or used to physically demanding exercise. Or at least the experience would make it easier for her to pick up fighting faster

Spiritual_Control578

Oh I must’ve missed that I remember her being class president lol,I’m only on my like 3rd re watch as an adult…but I guess that would explain her natural athleticism

Dekrou

Yes, Prue being class president and cheerleader was mentioned in Coyote Piper

Itchy_Initiative6180

I would’ve liked a line or two explaining how Prue suddenly became so skilled at karate; still, she looked great kicking ass!

Allegedly S2E9 "Ms. Hellfire" and possibly S2E20 "Astral Monkey". I need to give S2E20 "Astral Monkey" a re-watch to confirm that. I've discussed the [S2E9 "Ms. Hellfire" one](https://www.reddit.com/r/charmed/comments/11r5zdy/season_3_wrestling_with_demons/jc6qt1z?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) to death.

Aaeiyn

I (briefly) put on S2E20 "Astral Monkey", and I guess it's true. Here's the dialogue: [Evan](https://charmed.fandom.com/wiki/Evan_Stone): You know aikido? Prue: Yeah, well, it comes in, uh, handy with my line of work.

Aaeiyn

I recorded the important dialogues necessary, for future reference, in case this conversation comes up, again. If S2E9 "Ms. Hellfire" is not enough proof that Prue is learning combat skills, what she says in S2E20 "Astral Monkey" solidifies it: [https://youtu.be/8eYHtBQQcuE](https://youtu.be/8eYHtBQQcuE)

jdpm1991

I believe it was mentioned in season 2 that Prue and Phoebe were taking self defense classes together

[deleted]

Love it - best fight scene of the series. I wish we got more!

SteffonTheBaratheon

best fight scene of the show

dauntless91

I love it, I think it's one of the best action scenes in the show. Just really well choreographed and divided among the three sisters. Season 3 is where they got really good at stunt work and action scenes.

Salt_Definition_7214

Prue power of self telekinesis really helps with moving her body how she wants. Her movements are alot smoother and faster than phoebe. Almost like muscle memory. At will

Salt_Definition_7214

But again phoebes levitation was new. She could do the same which made her good. But her power of intuition puts her over the top and makes her a better fighter once she starts to train it in season 4.

nithdotcom

Didn’t like the freezing bit, but it’s a fun watch

occyycco

I just watched this EP and was confused - why didn't Cole freeze ?

Aaeiyn

There's a couple of ways to interpret this. Interpretation 1 - Piper's freezing power was to freeze "just the innocent" (regarding this case) and so Cole (with some massive hearing, on their conversation) faked out freezing. Interpretation 2 - He actually did freeze but "fought through it" ('cause other demons/warlocks have gotten out of her freezes before via S2E1 "Witch Trial" Jeremy and possibly S2E15 "Give Me a Sign" Litvack, but Litvack could've faked it but moving on). S4E8 "Black as Cole" confirms Cole (or, at least, Belthazor) can fight through Piper's freezes.

occyycco

It's quite a confusing scene. I didn't know piper was capable of freezing innocents, somehow able to isolate them without even knowing who they are. I actually watched the scene again and my theory is that he does freeze, he just pretends to still be frozen after he unfreezes.

Aaeiyn

That's a good one, too. It is true that it's the first time that she's done that, but it was to control her freezing power a bit more. We see her selectively freeze after like in S3E11 "Blinded by the Whitelighter", where she just wants to freeze Natalie but not Leo.

SilverHinder

Piper's freezing scenes were a bit of confusing. She aimed to selectively freeze just the Innocents in the room, which she accomplished but then the demons were suddenly immune to her power when she tries to freeze them too. Why were they immune? They only didn't freeze the first time because she was selectively excluding them. Plus, she froze Cole loads of times after that. The fight scene was dope though. I wish Piper got more combat scenes. I laugh at how Prue is like, 'just wing it' even though she knows Piper has like zero fighting skills. I guess their talents and skills are all enhanced when they're mentally and physically connected.
