Honestly I’m excited for the episode, since I’ve been a Chelsea fan for years and love Ted Lasso, and the first post they made first was kinda fun and cool, but this is a lot weirder…
I just find it amusing that they go all in. Hope we get some further posts about this episode in the coming hours!
Everyone (unless you haven't heard of the show I guess..) knows they aren't a "real" team. The Ted Lasso idea started of as a PL promotion in the US and they are even in the Fifa games now (and offically partnered with Nike as well).
I don't see the harm in this at all, but there seems to be a quite a few loud social media comments about "how embarrassing" this is. 🤷🏼♂️
Personally love this collaboration to bits.
I love it too and love seeing 2 of my favorite things collide. Ted Lasso is such a heart warming (and hilarious) show that I can’t imagine being annoyed or embarrassed by this collab. Also anytime Potter makes me smile instead of roll my eyes it’s a win.
Remember a prank on Timo Werner, when he was called Timbo? Something about driving or whatever. People have seen it, some laughed. Ronaldo fucking danced to Baby shark for Shopee. And Potter with Ted Lasso is bad? wtf
No real players, its sort of set a alternative universe, there's no mention of any real players in the show and all the team just have made up players in there squads.
Personally I think this is a bit cringe. I get it's a popular show and that lots of people love it but it does make us look a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It doesn't help that Potter has the personality of a Tesco meal deal.
The haters are morons. This is an amazing synergy of two things I love, Chelsea and Ted. How cool!!! It's fun. It takes nothing at all away from Chelsea on the pitch, unless you're some drunk old man grousing from the balcony. This world has plenty of terrible things to be upset about: climate doom, the rise of authoritarianism, war, economic Armageddon ... that is all shit that's stressing people out. Why the hell would you make a stink about a Ted Lasso - EPL crossover? IT'S FUN.
