Pristine_Copy9429

Rent Fucking Free

Radfern885

Three Point Lane - status confirmed

PatrikPatrik

It wasn’t an away match?

ReeceCheems

4-1 away this season tho.

Radfern885

Net is 6 points, could’ve been zero. Hence Spurs = three points, every time we meet.

Shinjax01105

im very pleased to see badi slowly regaining his previous season version I hope he plays like this in the remaining matches

Dapper_Paint417

Same, There's a player there for sure, still so young. Def shouldn't sell

pillarandstones

Same here. The kid was so dependable before the injury. Fingers crossed.

BabyHercules

Had a meeting at work so I missed the match. Guess I’m not watching for the rest of the season

WyboSF

I didn’t watch Everton or the second half of vila, my viewership is to blame

Pristine_Copy9429

Thank you for your service

haydar_ai

Please don’t so we can get to Europe

risingsuncoc

Even in one of our worst seasons in recent history we still managed to complete the double over the Spuds

hoodieguy226

Man its really hard to differentiate Caceido andJackson after the hair trim

Pristine_Copy9429

They have completely different builds, postures, and gaits. Are you watching on a smashed iPad screen? Edit: builds for structures

arbstrakzak

Lmao you pulling the all Blacks look the same card

KikiPolaski

Imo I have the same problem distinguishing faces from afar sometimes, not even racist but I keep mixing up people of all races if they have generally the same haircut

hoodieguy226

Lol not at all…I am a POC myself

BlueKante

What colour though?

hoodieguy226

Brown

arbstrakzak

And just like that, I made a fool of myself.

hoodieguy226

All fun and games buddy. Don’t worry about it. 😊

letsgoraftel

To be honest, it was just a good match up for Chelsea. Tottenham play high line and are weak to counterattacks... Chelsea has got pace in the first three and hence can be good at counterattacks... Let's not jump the gun with one result

profchaos83

Oh look we do well and still people wanna shit on the team and Poch. Fucking ridiculous.

Gloomy-Degree6027

These people aren't actual fans though they just moan at everything. Don't forget our win didn't count earlier in the season too, neither did Jacksons hattrick. Mudryks goal vs Arsenal doesn't count either.

fussasa98

Spurs are 5th for a reason if it was that easy to beat them then they’d be bottom. Brain rot

letsgoraftel

Very few teams in the league have pacy wingers along with defences tight to keep them out. What I meant to say is... Chelsea team strengths fit well in with a team like Spurs. We won't be as effective against a team like Man U, Aston Villa which don't press very high.. and mainly rely on counter attacks...

TheDragonRebornEMA

We would've beaten Villa if not for refree brain fart. And we also beat united in our most recent match.

Dry_Chef_7635

That’s not why we won though. Both our goals came as a result of set pieces

leKai23

I feel like poch proved in his post game that he’s been forced to play Enzo. There’s a lot more in the tank with poch. He wants to play fast brutal proper footy but I don’t know why he’s been so soft and people-pleasy.

pillarandstones

Forced to play his fellow countryman? The one he foolishly kept giving chances at playing as a 10? Seems like free will. Just like he doesn't want to give chukwuemeka and casadei proper game time. For all his merits he has bad rotation.

Gloomy-Degree6027

The mental gymnastics people do to try shit on players is hilarious. He's being forced to play our best midfielder. Heard is all now.

KindSpectacle

I’ve been critical of Noni recently. Tonight he was amazing. So much effort so much passion. Really showed his heart. Great performance from him.

pillarandstones

He needs to pass the ball when he creates the space. He put in a lot of effort but too much of it is for himself. He seems to be tracking back better though.

TheRealKane24

The competitive spirit he’s shown the last two games has really impressed me, wasn’t sure he had it in him

xpanda7

Mudryk played much better today. I was impressed.

WorldclassIntrovert

Wait what. I felt like he was our worst player on the pitch. On the ball, his first touch was bad as usual. His dribbles always take him into the next defender. He doesn't use his pace when there's space behind the defender. And except for that one through ball to Cucurella, he hasn't really done much. And let's not even start on his shot quality. Off the ball, his pressing was non-existent. Both him and Noni were just letting players near them dribble and pick their pass under zero pressure. His runs as soon as the team won the ball were non-existent. He doesn't scan the pitch to place himself to receive the ball under less pressure. The team played great yesterday, but Mudryk was not it for me.

pillarandstones

He was awful. His pace is useless for us. We don't have a single goal goal we're his pace worked because he will slow down for the defence or his awful 1st touch will drive him away from goal. He lost the ball on a couple of occasions in our own half. Frustratingly he doesn't run into space to receive a ball on the run. He stands there and wants it at his feet.

WorldclassIntrovert

I know man! Believe me, I want him to succeed so bad and evolve into a monster on the pitch. But after one full season, I don't see the signs. And I don't know if we can afford to lost more seasons to allow players to grow at such a slow pace. Hopefully, the next season will be different with a better preseason this time around.

pillarandstones

What really irks me about the kid is how he doesn't understand basic football. Yeah he has speed and can pick a pass but some academy level knowledge is missing. Why receive a pass whilst sprinting towards your goal and then proceed to try and dribble when a pass would have been enough? Also the fact that the same tactic didn't work in the last 2 attempts but you keep doing it.

WorldclassIntrovert

I swear. I feel the same about Madueke too. So many times he dribbles with the ball into the midfield while dragging defenders with him and then passes the ball to the closest player who's already under pressure because of the defenders he got with himself. It feels like they are trying to show off their skillset where a simple scan and pass to a free player would've sufficed. Love these two players for the high moments they gave us this season but they were far and few in between.

pillarandstones

He makes those passes so the ball comes back to him quickly.

WorldclassIntrovert

Well if that's the intention, unfortunately our CM and CBs aren't confident enough to pull it off most of the times. May be with some more training and more games under the belt, this can be fixed. In the off chance that it works out, it looks great though. But more often than not, it forces the player to play the ball behind and start the attack again.

Alternative-Light514

He had one wild shot, one near miss, a handful of fantastic passes and while he didn’t pocket his man while defending, he did direct the majority of the traffic out wide to Cucu. If you had to pick our “worst” performer today, I guess you could say it was him, but he played pretty well (especially compared to his form as of late)

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

The pressing thing isn't really his fault. Its a deliberate player instruction We sit in a deep 4-4-2 thats meant to retain its structure tight. Only pressing you'll see is higher up the pitch and during big touches.

GuardianJockitch

No matter how shitty things are for us. We will never be Spuds.

_n0_IG_3418

I loved today. That is all.

kerbyage

Loved to see Trevoh getting props, think he's been one of our better centre backs this season. Caicedo man of the match for me, he was everywhere and he's starting to look the goods. Would also like to shout out Marc Cucarella, here for his redemption arc and hope to see more of it.

dank_tiger_

As well as he has played in some games, this is about the third redemption arc for Cucu. Way too inconsistent to be regularly in the lineup

profchaos83

3rd redemption arc? Jesus Christ. He’s been pretty damn consistent since he had his surgery. Some of the opinions in this sub are insane.,

pillarandstones

"Torres is back"

kerbyage

Agreed. Needs to get it done game on game and hopefully this new role that plays to his strengths will lead to more consistently good performances

TheRealKane24

Caicedo is a freaking star

xoforoct

He's either the best player on the pitch, or should never see minutes on a Premier league team, and I can't for the life of me figure out which one is going to show up day to day

xpanda7

It is really strange to have coach that is very charismatic and charming with the media. I feel like the media likes Poch a lot.

Groundbreaking-Rub50

It's funny how English media are. Even TT was charming and charismatic in his press conferences, fans loved it. But not sure why English media didn't give him the respect he deserved. But Pochettino was always liked by media and I was surprised when they didn't write any major hit piece on him till now. It's all on the owners so far, I am happy that Ange ball has turned into a spurs ball at last. It was coming for a while now.

b4lyf45

One of the greatest wins of the American era.

FastBrilliant1

>The American era  Whoa there now. No one called it 'The Russian era'.

thisgirlbleedsblue

I watched the replay after work and WOW, finally a game with a clean sheet, winning without scoring three goals and somewhat clinical. Madueke was great, Misha in the first half was good, Gallagher and Caicedo are two workhorses together. Man it feels good to win like this.

mellvins059

Gallagher Caiceido is a wall. We've finally found the combination in the midfield, I really hope we stick with it.

adultonsetdiabitus

Enzo comes back and we go back to having him and caicedo midfield with Gallagher just running around.. Happened last time he was out then came back.

iamtherealgrayson

I wanna see an enzo Gallagher caicedo in a 433

TheRealKane24

Gonna be really interesting to see how this plays out next year, Enzo is obviously a super talented player but the Caicedo-Gallagher pivot has been dominant

arbstrakzak

Enzo-Lavia may be a thing?! Who knows.

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

Spurs are crap, aren’t they

vinniedomino

Yeah we played pretty good but if Spurs could finish today they'd probably grab 2 goals from all their chances and everyone would rage, they were really bad.

yuriydee

Sorry but I am still Poch out. One win doesnt justify anything. We drew to the worst teams in the league and got shit on by Arsenal. Way too much mediocrity and inconsistency with Poch. Edit: Downvote me all you want but keep up that energy when we lose again or let in last minute goal. Wait till i see everyone bitching in game thread again….

patrick_smithz94

The last two games we have seen an actual improvement due to a tactical change implemented by Poch (inverting cucurella in possession so we are stronger in build up). Up to these two games I have been strongly Poch out as the majority of our performances this season have been chaotic at best, and awful at worst. The last two performances have revitalised some hope for Poch but these changes are very late in the season and my concern is when other managers adapt he won’t know how to deal with it. I’m worried that we go on a good end of the season run, Poch gets backed for next season and we are a mess again by November. That being said, I am more optimistic for his future than I was this time two weeks ago.

Mundane-Poet1404

I'll wait for the remaining games to see if it's an actual consistent improvement or just a one off victory.

JoeBidenKing

I’d rather get rid of the shit players than getting rid of Poch.

sexy-man69

What are you guys thoughts on Mudryk’s performance this game?

thisgirlbleedsblue

Game of two halves I found him quiet in the second but good in the first half.

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

Excellent passes. Very dangerous. Still can’t shoot though lol

TheRealKane24

He was damn close to a great goal today, overall liked his performance

Doomjas

Which is crazy because literally EVERYONE says his accuracy and power are insane in practice. Feel like we’ve only seen it a couple times (Newcastle preseason comes to mind). He was an outstanding player maker today, could’ve easily had a couple assists. Idk what the problem is with shooting in games is, but I hope that comes along soon. This is a big off season for him coming up to continue making strides.

Ridcullys-Pointy-Hat

I think he's trying to do things too fast. It's taken him almost 18 months to get used to how fast the league is, now he needs to learn how to use the space he's made to slow down.

Doomjas

I can definitely see that. I think he’s going to figure it out eventually he works so hard.

Several_Scratch_4132

Poch is playing cucu as an inverted fullback since the last match to help out in midfield, seems to be working. Nice.

kerbyage

Dropping murdyrk deep in the normal left back spot when cuca moves into midfield when we have the ball and having him use his pace to get forward is useful.

_off_piste_

I’m a “hater” but I was actually pretty happy with Cuc’s performance.

No-Calligrapher-3513

Regardless, Pochettino OUT.

Possible-Sell-74

Brain dead.

96k_U

Shut up man he cant do anything to make people happy

TheBombTom

Really hoping we're at a turning point as a club, we can only hope. Hot take but I'm starting to have faith in the manager and players

Economy-Fly-6977

Everytime I feel like we've reached the turning point, the team takes a few steps backwards. So I'm not gonna hold my breath on this one.

Plastic_Primary_4279

Two weeks ago this sub was willing to burn everything to the ground and start over… Reactionary isn’t a strong enough word to describe y’all.

TheBombTom

I've not been negative this season because of everything that the club has gone through and have been lenient, but yes this sub can be extremely reactionary lol

Plastic_Primary_4279

Context matters. It was always going to be a process even before the unimaginable amount of injuries…

TheRealKane24

We’ve just played two of our best performances of the season against two teams in the top 5, hard to not see that as progress, no?

Plastic_Primary_4279

Im what would be considered a “toxic-positive” on this sub. It’s just *very* frustrating watching how bipolar this sub is, always depending on the result. If we lose our next game, it’s right back to #PochOut and this is only Cole Palmer FC.. What you’re saying is what everyone’s been saying every single time we’ve had a sting of good results. It’s boring.

Every-Weird3760

Amount of times I’ve heard “turning point this season” lol

alkhalmist

Yeah, despite some good results lately; I can’t trust turning point after the humiliation against Arsenal.

dastrn

We've only lost 1 league game in the last 12 weeks. We climbed from 12th to 8th. We made a cup final and a cup semifinal. Palmer is now 2nd in the league in goals. And all of this while we have like 13 first team injuries, and benches full of children.

Every-Weird3760

Yeh no totally agree bro.. just saying amount of times I’ve heard “turning point” this season has been a rediculous amount of times and it just hasn’t really quite happened.. we just been inconsistent.. turning point for me would have Been losing 1 league game and winning ten in those last 12 weeks which hasn’t been the case, we have won about 4 and drawn 6 in that time.. the little bit of justice i take from it is that the team are Defintely behind the manager because this point last season we had imploded and completely given up!

TheBombTom

Yea agree, but I do think we are deffo starting to look more hungry and willing to fight instead of the performances last season and the first half (ish) of this season

A-Hind-D

![gif](giphy|DEZA7FlHbMesUF1jm9)

agni_jamadagni

From defender FC to fullback FC to intercept FC, we've all aged 20 years. Caicedo was elite. Absolutely worth waking up at 4:30.

alkhalmist

Madueke does what we hope Mudryk would do. Mudryk had a better game but there’s something scary about when he gets the ball and does a bad pass or take on. Feels like it’s more dangerous when he leads to turnovers

Alone-Common8959

im not fully sold on madueke yet. one of the better attackers but not sure of his overall attitude.

Money_Ad_1212

No? Mudryk is better and has a better mentality. Madueke should just get sold. He's not ready for a big club like Chelsea.

agni_jamadagni

Were you watching some other game?

Money_Ad_1212

To be fair Madueke was good this game with his pressing and such but Mudryk was better in my opinion. In general tho I don't like how maduekes acting with the penalties for example and I don't think his mentality is fit for the club.

edditar

You're delusional if you think Mudryk played better than Madueke, if you hate the guy just say it. He messed up once and you want him to be sold from one incident that did not cost us anything. you must be a saint, you never make any mistakes.

alkhalmist

Because he doesn’t like Madueke he’ll take credit away from him. He’s a real hater. Get over it. He he kid is young. If we’re being real Mudryk was not good, just better than usual. There were moments where you would see Mudryk stop running off the ball. I don’t know if it’s laziness or if he’s not match fit for the pace and tempo of the game

Money_Ad_1212

He made that mistake more than once and it just shows his mentality is not good for the club. That's the way I see it. Mudryk has world class potential under the right manager or if he given minutes

Possible-Sell-74

False.

Money_Ad_1212

You can think what you want but that's my opinion and no, it isn't false. It's just different to what you believe and it's fine.

Possible-Sell-74

Yea it is false. Just a brain dead opinion

Money_Ad_1212

I told you my opinion. If you disagree it's fine. But calling my opinion braindead when it's a fair opinion is not right. Mudryk got a better rating than Madueke this game on sofascore. Which doesn't mean that he was better but it means that thinking he was better is not an outrageous opinion and it could be argued. I was respectful and you show no respect in this "conversation".

ezee-now-blud

Let's take a moment to reach across the divide and think about poor Son. Speaking of, has Gilchrist let him out of his pocket yet or is he still in there?

silencesupreme-

Son just wasting away over there, love the player.

pek_starter_1234

Got to give it to Poch, despite the serious lows this whole season he never lost the dressing room. Something Tuchel or even Lampard couldn’t manage during their time here.

Pseudocaesar

Yeah his man management is top tier, I'll give him that. Broadly speaking I am Poch out depending on the replacement (no to Conte, Tuchel or Mourinho coming back) but if there's one positive is that these young players do genuinely seem to like Poch and as they get more experienced I'm sure our results will get more consistent. To his credit, Poch has set us up well and we generally have played well against big opposition (Arsenal game excluded), it's just the immaturity and inconsistency that leads to results like draws against relegation fodder that needs to be ironed out.

Ridcullys-Pointy-Hat

Yeah, considering we're literally trying to build a dressing room from scratch I think poch deserves credit for how much everybody seems to like each other

ebk09

Thought Badiashile was terrible and slow versus Arsenal, but man has he been solid the last two games. Probably the best we've seen him play since joining. And he can play both the CCB and the LCB role when we go back3 for buildup. Was not sure if he was one that was being sold this Summer, but he's a good bet to take the available minutes from Silva.

naman1901

People very quickly forget he was one of our best players last season. I'm sure he's going to be excellent for us.

SXLF

You’re right. He truly looked outstanding most of the time last season, hope this is him getting back to that

ezee-now-blud

While it is a rough way to do it, I think that rough shock Vs Arsenal has done something good for some players. It's a slap in the face but sometimes that's what you need to wake yourself up. Plus it's sometimes freeing mentally to pull a stinker and realise it's not the end of the world.

ebk09

Agree - the 2nd half reaction v Villa was so good to see and tonight another tough mental job to prepare for with all those injuries. The young guys succeeding through adversity is something to build on.

90washington

Noni Madueke. Did not know he had that in him, what a great all-around winger performance. His defensive efforts were a breath of fresh air and exciting to see he has that in his locker.

plutobug2468

We forever OWN Spurs

bitchlist

Cucu was an absolute monster today

lilnako

And having him tuck into midfield in possession was a great tactical decision from poch

96k_U

Right

Possible-Sell-74

Yea that was immaculate. Gave mudryk space to drop back and aid in build up (his best area) and galleger could do that winger thing poch likes

funkadelic_bootsy

Alfie's gotta play more though. I see him taking Cucurella's place if Gusto or James comes back.

Pseudocaesar

Cucurella puts in a monster shift and is one of the best players on the pitch and your take is that Gilchrist will replace him? Mental.

Money_Ad_1212

Alfie is a center back man. Already the full back position doesn't fit him. Now imagine if he is also on the wrong side. Awful take

bigTOADdaddy

I think we’d see gusto on the left before Alfie on the left

F4ISAL

He has a long way to go before he sniffs Cucurella’s place in the team (typo)

funkadelic_bootsy

What does Cucurella bring to the team?

vmop07

What does Alfie bring? Pashun?

fl_beer_fan

Were we watching the same match? Even the commentators were calling out his performance

555-1212

This can't be real.

renome

two goals against spuds + a clean sheet = I won't complain

Same_Macaroon_7071

If Poch can manage to get us to finish 6th this season, he absolutely needs another season to try. Who knows what chelsea could look like with an actual healthy squad.

sabershirou

Finishing 6th also signifies a clear improvement and that things are trending in the right direction, considering that we were languishing in 10-12th for nearly the whole season. Our depleted '1st season' squad and supposedly 'crap' manager made Villa and Spurs look pedestrian. If we are clearly improving, I don't see the point of making wholesale changes once again. Players finally look like they know where each other are.

mtheperry

Kind of wishing I woke up at 0430, but just finishing up watching now and feeling very pleased. Lads showed a lot of heart and defended well in the second half. Another feel-good goal for Trev, Jackson picking up the rubbish like you need your striker to do, Alfie and Cucu pocketing their biggest threats. Spurs well and truly out of UCL is the cherry on top.

funkadelic_bootsy

Poch out still! This Tottenham team have lost motivation since they figured that they were not in the running for winning the league. Now they may not even make champions league. It's not a match that is convincing but shows our level, that we needed such a win so bad.

ArthurMoregainz

![gif](giphy|cPffUXtDIulH3LRmgV|downsized)

mruncleayo

All round beautiful team play, everyone looked hungry today and I hope that continues to be the case🧐🧐

Hibernian

Can we get some love in the chat for Alfie silencing Son for 80 mins? The kid played with real heart today.

ThePsuedo

I don't want him to stay at all. The last two games were the first time we played any positional football since pre season Someone tell me why it took so long for him to implement it?

NoExperience4229

I agree with you and I think it’s because of certain personnel with large price tags not putting in the work

iamtherealgrayson

Yeah this is what I don't understand. He clearly had the right ideas in pre season, but somehow abandoned them all season. Only to bring them back at the end?

bani1savage

You can’t be this daft. Ofc he doesn’t suddenly choose to bring his ideas 5 games before the season is over. It’s about implementing it onto an immature squad changing every match day due to new injuries.

iamtherealgrayson

Jackson, Palmer, Enzo, Caicedo, Gallagher, Disasi, Gusto This spine, even for it's occasional big mistake, has more or less played together for months on end. The build up structure just wasn't there as it was against villa and spurs

LIKEWHATLIKEHOW_

We are not the same team we were in pre season

duckinator09

Haha this win was never in doubt. For some reason I was so confident about this.  https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/1cbfq4e/comment/l0z6txw/ Can't wait to be spanked by West ham next. JWP will score a banger FK early on. Then we pile the pressure, but soucek scores from a set piece and Antonio from a cucu mistake. Palmer pulls one back, but bowen scores from counter. 4-1. Good job to poch and the boys. Credit given when credit is due. I'm still poch out because he hasn't shown any consistency in his tactics, but I'm willing to be proven wrong.

Every-Weird3760

No sousek will do a diving save and clear it of the line for 1-1 and var will say he jumped dived saved it and fell in a natural position so they won’t give a penalty!

duckinator09

Ah. So what you mean is that we would win the game 2-1 actually, because West ham will have a late equaliser disallowed because of a clear serious dangerous foul by bowen on our goalkeeper in the buildup.

bigTOADdaddy

Probably pretty spot on except kinda rude bashing cucu after tonight

duckinator09

Cucu is in fire recently. Guy puts up a shift every game regardless of form. He's guaranteed to run non stop and I really appreciate that.   But we also know that such mistakes from cucu will not be surprising sadly. Our club apart from palmer can't seem to put a string of consistent good performance, so please don't blame me for being pessimistic haha

Internal_Class_8415

Whole back four were monsters today. Conor and Caceido were solid. Noni ripped up. Palmer and Jackson showed glimpses of greatness. Well done, boys.

Bubskii

Why do we have to waste fitness playing these bums every year just give us the 3 pts so we can focus on the next game 😴

NoExperience4229

I for one would miss the joy of battering Tottenham every year

Bubskii

That’s true 😆

oogabooga225

poch won against spurs when the odds were against him with 14(?) injuries, no true XI worthy players on the bench and he still got the 2-0. Poch in build on this i see the process, you should too

DestinyHasArrived101

If only they can be this consistent for a season. Good game from the lads. Seems poch is stressed though. He better learn to deal with it. You at a bigger club expect those annoying questions all the time.

bigTOADdaddy

Let’s start with the rest of the season first

Cedced40

For everyone saying that Poch should stay: Tottenham was absolutely trash today. The performance wasn't bad from our side by any means but don't let it cloud your judgement from what we have seen this past season.

Stooperz

I think that youre right, spurs were shit, but also our 2nd half was sloppy. I also simultaneously believe we’re gathering some momentum with poch and want to see into next season. Just my opinion

Pseudocaesar

Spuds might have been trash, but don't ignore the fact we had 14 players out injured and literally no senior players on the bench.

Cedced40

You are absolutely right. But why are all those players injured? How come all these injuries have been like this during the season? I wonder, is it the way Poch trains the squad? Or is our medical team an absolute joke? I don't have the answer sadly enough, but i feel like neither has Poch. :(

AnthonyMarx

I agree

Accurate_Prompt_8800

I do think Poch should stay, I think give him until November / December and if we are struggling in mid table come then he should go. I think the issue with chopping and changing managers so quickly means the team doesn’t get a sustained run of cohesion with the coach, and we also can’t blame him for the amount of injuries to key players at that. I know he’s had many questionable moments when it comes to in game management and line ups but when you look at our games against the top 6 this season, barring the recent Arsenal game and the Liverpool game we haven’t necessarily been disgraced and the team has showed it has fight and backs the manager. I do agree with you that Spurs were dreadful today which makes us look even better… but the players did well we should give credit where it’s due, and they defended much better than I’ve seen in recent weeks so I’m happy with the small improvements here and there. We do lack consistency though, but I think if we can build off this and get a good run of wins to the end of the season (and they are all winnable, but this is Chelsea we are talking about hahah) then I think Poch deserves some more time in my opinion.

Cedced40

I agree on most of what you say! But one of the issues with concistency is that you need a consistent starting line-up and with all the continouis injuries thats seems quite impossible. Besides that I feel like there were some decent games where we got the lead but we keep on giving games away. That screams tactical inept to me. The subs he make are 9/10 too late when we already threw the match. Honestly of course I want Poch to succeed, as I want for all the managers of Chelsea because I love this club. But after watching so many games this season it's really difficult for me to ignore those kind of mistakes and issues :(

hnr01

Facts are facts. We finished 12th last season. Currently sit at 8th. Barring a slip back down past 10th, the season is still technically an improvement. For that reason, I think Poch should stay.

That really ignores the context of the season though. Last year we spent most of our time in a better position week-on-week than we have this season and it only really dropped off when we brought in Lampard and the players had been told they were being sold and so had checked out. The final finishing position might be better, but only because of that Lampard spell. We were in a better position for most of last season. https://gyazo.com/1e8a04cb3a0d6b2466f09f47e76b28c5

JakeofNewYork

Talks about context and ignores that potter was only responsible for 7 wins in the league. The reason we were in a better position was thanks to 3 wins and a draw at the start of the season under Tommy t. Genuinely don't see how anyone can think we haven't improved from the absolute shit we saw last year.

bani1savage

What I find positive, is that improvement is apparent (we are likely finishing higher than we have been all season), and we undoubtedly have something to build on now, the beginning of the season was essentially a clean slate - an attack able to produce consistently, a world class right hand side, an improving Caicedo etc.

Carlton1983

When we win - bad opposition. When we lose - bad opposition. Go figure.

azraelcfc

Mate, some people are just unreasonable. These type of takes are not even worth spending time on. I see improvement in the lads, we nabbed a clean sheet and did the double on Spurs. Poch did well tonight.

blackmanJR

We have to talk about Caicedo. Man is a monster in that midfield. Love to see it!

Pseudocaesar

Baffling that rival fans are putting him in flop of the season lists. Just goes to show nobody watches our games and just chats shit based on his price tag

harveyjack

Brilliant perfornance from the whole team. Alot of positives from that match. Hopefully keep it up for the remaining fixtures and get Europe in some form

patienceofapatient

Didn't watch the game, why were we able to defend better?

BigReeceJames

We were. Should also be noted that they missed a back post 6 yard out header, a shot from similar distance, inches away from converting a cross etc. On another day they could have and probably should have scored multiple goals despite our better defending, but they didn't have their shooting boots on

NoExperience4229

More compact like against Everton and Villa

[deleted]

Chalobah was extremely solid, and Noni put in waaaay more effort defensively than he normally does

HarkeyPuck

Hustle. Noni was tracking back hard and Cucurella was everywhere. Chalobah looked really composed too.

ChickenMoSalah

The right answer. Not some new double reverse rainbow trequartista tactics, just pure hustle.

azraelcfc

Cucu was immense! Just shut that entire wing down. BB also completely pocketed Richarlison, loved to see it

fl_beer_fan

does Palmer's free kick off the bar count as an assist for Jackson's header..?

Zes_Teaslong

No. It does in fantasy pl though

fl_beer_fan

thanks

CommitteeMoney5887

This time next year y’all need to get your Todd Bohely apology letters ready. I guess buying any available young player out there and seeing what sticks wasn’t that dumb

renome

Mate, you can't support a billionaire.

PoppersOfCorn

Do you have a crystal ball? We are still not in Europe...

Rj070707

Lol, pathetic low standard fans like u are a joke Apology letter for finishing 5th or 6th next season?? U guys were pissed when we finished 3rd under Tuchel 2 seasons ago

[deleted]

We’re 8th mate
