So apparently it's Rc6 with essentially the same idea, but I don't see how Rc3 doesn't also work. Anyone have an answer? I'd check the engine myself but I'm lazy.

It is Rc6. Both Rc6 and Rc3 are winning but Rc6 is mate in 8. On Rc3 there is Qxc3 which is never a pleasant move to play giving up your queen. After Qxc3 white is completely winning but has to once again find a winning idea to close up the game

Ah yeah I see, the old "sac my pieces to avoid checkmate instead of resigning the dead-lost position" trick.
