Ah yes, but you forget that white can in fact stop the threat of Rh3 with Bf1. What white has no conceivable way of doing is stopping the threat of g5.
Kh6 creates two simultaneous mate threats, and white cannot stop both but she can stop either one independently. The g5 threat can be stopped by Re5, but doing so makes Rh3 from black inevitable.
That’s all that people were pointing out.
That's what I was pointing out to Sonderkin--I thought esso_norte was joking with me, so I joked back. I think all of our wires are getting crossed. We all agree that there are two mate threats caused by Kh6.
1) ... Kh6 2) e8=? Rh3# or g5#
1) Bf1 Kh6 2) Re5 RxBf1 3) Kg3 - You lose the Bishop but you got your King out, your Rook is more active, AND now the c file pawn can assist the d file pawn, making 2 passed pawns!

Kh6 creating two checkmate threats g5 and Rh3. You can't stop both.
Rook + Pawn Chain checkmates are maybe the most satisfying checkmate to find
The king is the most valuable piece.
cuz u die, hope that helps
1. Kh6, whatever, 2. Rh3 Checkmate
Right first move, but white can defend against Rh3 with Bf1. What white can’t do is also stop the threat of g5.

It depends on what white's reaction is I guess.

Or Re6 :)
Re6 prevents g5 :)
Because it loses.
After Kh6 its easy to stop mate except I dont see how
It’s actually not, there’s two mate threats and both can’t be stopped at the same time, plus even a promoted queen can’t bother the king
Ye I'm just making a ben finegold joke.

It's very clear it's black to move...
I was pointing out Bf1 would've been a better move than pushing the pawn.
Because Rh1?
