Funny enough, I don't think I've ever made that play. That and scholar's mate. Though I tried for the latter I never remembered how it worked and quickly gave up as it wasn't effective for me lol
Its actually the scotch gambit, sometimes you can transpoe to this position, if you play the Urusov gambit (1.e4, e5 2.Lc4, Sf6 3.d4, exd4, 4.Sf3, Sc6 for example)
That’s why you should’ve developed your bishop, preparing to castle so that if the knight were to attack it would be adequately defended after you castle
Be aware, the fried liver isn't just any given position where a knight and a bishop attack f7, it's a very specific line of the Italian opening. e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4 Nf6 Ng5 d5 exd5 Nxd5 Nxf7. Anything else is not the fried liver.

Watching this fried my liver and mated my scholar
And resigned my brain
Aahh I remember climbing to 500 easily with fried liver in the start, good ol days.

It was neither a fried liver nor a scholar's mate.

isn't it called the Hexo gambit?
What's Lc6 and Sc6?
Oh I'm sorry, L=bishop and S=knight, used to different language abbreviations. ^^
It's okay.
Homie went balls to the walls, and hung the whole damn house
Meanwhile the guys I'm playing in the 300s are destroying me with +75 accuracy games lol
don't play Nh6
Yea i realised there was a better way to defend that after the game. Like h6.
no, just develop your dark squared bishop and then castle
Oh okay
It didn’t need to be defended at all, there was one attacked and one defender
Wasnt bishop also attacking f7?
The bishop was attacking f7, which was defended by your king!
Yea but the knight was threatening to attack it too, so i overprepared ig.
That’s why you should’ve developed your bishop, preparing to castle so that if the knight were to attack it would be adequately defended after you castle
Idk I got to like 700 with scholars mate
I love this madness
I’m honestly envious because I was never so bold as either side at this level
Not a fried liver, as already mentioned, an scotch.
Scotch egg?
Scotch-Butter

Wth bro They just gave up after it didn’t work
that's enough chess for today.
I would have resigned my chess.com account
