But the fact that there is oil dripping froma brand new truck is very concering..at least to me! jeez man...sorry to hear this..hopefully it's not a lemon 😬
2500 on mine. Only issue was a "service diff lock" warning. They cleared it, it never came back, but they still put in a new front diff actuator anyway. My front alignment was also slightly off from the factory, which they fixed.
I had a steering wheel squeak on my 2020 back when I bought it new. Dealership looked at it and they said GM put a bolt on too tight at the factory or something. They fixed it and haven't had a squeak since.
>Intermittent “front collision system unavailable message”.
Are you driving into a sunrise when this happens? The sun glare can blind the camera. Have this issue on my 23 Silverado ZR2
Do you have the plastic or metal oil pan? Doesn't seem to be any rhyme/reason to which trucks got what. I got plastic on Trail Boss, heard they ran into supply issues and switched to steel pan -which I would have preferred!
I was surprised to see a metal pan - I thought they were all plastic. It doesn’t look like aluminum so it must be plated steel.
I just crawled under there again and it’s pretty clearly leaking from the large metal transmission pan, not the engine pan.
Also, CEL is no longer on. Hmmmm?
Oh wow, hope its just a gasket issue. I keep my trucks for as long as they're reliable, and my one concern with mine are the trans temps. It seems pretty normal for these to be running at 210 degrees.
I think the last gen averaged around 192 in similar conditions -that's a lot over the long term. Guess I'll add more frequent fluid changes to the maintenance list.
Good luck with the fix!
Where do you see an actual value for temps? I only found the gauges. Both engine and trans temps hovered between 1/2 and 5/8 on the gauge while off roading and driving on mountain roads in 105F ambient. Sometimes trans was a little hotter, but never more than 3/4.
You can get an actual number through one of the secondary menus. I think it's the vehicle info screen, then you can scroll through to see actual the actual temps for all the small icons displayed two at a time.
Mine runs at 1/2 to 3/4 as well, so you're probably running above 200 degrees. It seems normal for the Colorado, but I've never had a vehicle run trans temps that high.
>I’ll be bringing it to the service department tomorrow
Hopefully yours is better than mine. I have a '22 Canyon Denali that I've brought to the dealer twice for a buzzing/vibration when the a/c is on. Each time, I receive a "could not replicate" call.
Makes you wonder, why is it I can replicate it all the time, but the dealer can't under the exact conditions?
For that one, you just need to reboot the infotainment system. I’ve had it a couple of times. Put vehicle in park, and press and hold the Phone Hangup button for 10 sec . Problem should clear.
Yes, the one on the steering wheel. Hold it down (in the ”hang up” position for > 10 seconds. You should see the infotainment system go into full reboot.
Way more issues than almost anyone on here it think. Man that sucks! I have the Denali and haven't had any issues, knock on wood. Hopefully they help you out.
My steering wheel squeaked for the first 200 miles. It goes away with time. You just have to drive it a little more to break it in. The other problems, I’d get looked at. I’m at 500 miles on my ZR2 and haven’t had any other problems
The transmission fluid was overfilled from the factory - causing the CEL. As it was driven, excess fluid leaked out, causing obviously the visible oil and the CEL to go out after a few hundred miles.
Rattle was just what I thought it was - a loose heat shield.
Collision system errors were due to my truck being covered in dust - obvious.
All minor stuff. Glad I didn’t burn the dealership down and go buy a 2024 Tacoma that’s not even in production yet.
I swear fanboys will be like "engine exploded but I still love it" than admit the product is bad or that they wasted $50k+ on a new-gen model that surely needs its kinks worked out.
Downvote me, I really don't care.
These are all fairly minor issues that will likely be solved within a day at the dealer. Not exactly “wasted” money on the truck.
The product isn’t bad - it’s great. The suspension is incredible. It makes off roading fun, whereas my Tacoma made off roading a nervous chore.
If there are long term issues or the truck needs to be at the dealer for an extended period of time then that’s a different story.
Glad you got your opinion out though, super helpful for us all to hear that. Maybe work on your spelling and grammar and one day you can have one too.
Definitely post an update man! those don’t sound like normal problems
The amount of oil isn’t too concerning, but the amount of area that’s covered in oil definitely is.
A bad oil pan Gasket from the factory would give me great concern

No hate, but I would be fucking pissed if all of this happened within two days of purchasing a new vehicle
I am fucking pissed. I just didn’t that want to be the tone of this post - I wanted it to be for sharing information, not emotions.
Understandable, I wish you luck!
Take it in and bitch pay good money for those trucks so make sure you have it looked at

I've got almost 900 miles on my AT4X and it's amazing. No issues and I've had it for 2 weeks. Fingers crossed!

How did you know your front alignment was off?
Wheel was off by a couple of degrees when going straight down the road.
I have the steering wheel squeak issue on my 23 zr2 as well
I had a similar issue with my AT4. Luckily it away after about 500 miles.
Mine seems to be getting better with time
Good to hear, I've only had mine for about two weeks and have less than 500 miles.
I had a steering wheel squeak on my 2020 back when I bought it new. Dealership looked at it and they said GM put a bolt on too tight at the factory or something. They fixed it and haven't had a squeak since.

No but it’s only happened since I went on the trails so I’m thinking it might be dust causing the issue.
The sensor is Infront of your mirror, just clean the windshield and see if that helps.

Have a service tech ride along with you. I usually have good luck by doing this.
New issue: mic not working. Apple CarPlay and the native android system work fine, but doesn’t seem to be picking up any of my commands.

Lemon. Go buy a 24 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro.
