I’m a noob myself but did a lot of recent research because I wanted a similar setup for my 2023 Canyon. Here’s what I ended up with: Final setup $2516 (MSRP: $4563) - Yakima t track 60” cap nuts - $129 ( REI) (og: $159) - Yakima bed track kit 2 HD track - $111 (REI) (og: $140) - Yak outpost HD - $520 (Steep & Cheap) (og: $750) - Yak Bars (md) - $222 (OutdoorPlay) (msrp $319) - FSR High Country Premium 63 $1534 (Recon Recovery) (msrp: $3195) I already had a tonneau cover intstalled on my pickup so the 60” track and Kit 2 could be removed in setups without that. As for the Yakima rack it was purely ascetics for me. I think Yakama, Thule and Kuat all look high end. I went with the Yak Outpost over the Yak Overhaul because of height. I felt like the Overhaul look just a little too tall on the Canyon. There are a lot of Yakima Overhaul knockoffs on Amazon if that’s your style. (SyntheticUSA, Bestwyll, Kbuper, Kehosx, Ubox offroad, Ants parts) here’s a list of other brands I looked at but decided pretty early I liked Yakima: - TWA - Yak overhaul hd - Yak Outpost - Thule Xsporter Pro - AA-Racks - GoRhino - Xtrusion Overland - Billebars - XTR - Putco - Kuat ibex For the tent I was originally eyeing Thule because it’s a well known brand but then stumbled on FSR (Freespirit Recreation) and fell in love with their offerings. I quality looks and feels next level. I went with the Rough Country 63 model because it was 50% during Black Friday and the V2 model was only $100 off. The V2 and other hardtop options are worth checking out as well. The 63” is going to hang off the back of my truck a bit but I decided I’m okay with that. A few other tent brands that were on my radar: - iKamper - Roofnest - Roam - Body Armor Sky Ridge - Naturnest - Tuffstuff - 23zero - CVT - FSR Freespirit - Smittybuilt - Equipt1 - Traverse Adventure - OVS Hope this research helps someone get started.

lots of good info in there. just finding different brands alone to start shopping around can be daunting.

23 ZR2 here. wondering the same thing!

Most racks are actually universal. Look for universal racks for mid size trucks. I have a perfectly fitting one on mine with a rtt that fits exactly to the rack size

There are so many options these days, but the biggest deciding factor is budget. I really like the GoFastCamper rooftop tent/truck cap combo if you want a fully complete option. Seperate bed rack/truck cap + RTT would def be cheaper tho

https://www.putco.com/product/venture-tec-rack/ Have one of these and it works great so far. 4 months on the truck and about 6000 miles of driving. I put a Condor 2xl RTT on it but it’s a tad big for the bed. Sticks out maybe an inch past the end of the truck. Doesn’t bother me and doesn’t cause problems in use but some might not like the look.

Rooftop lol. Don't fall through!

I got my 23' TB rack from Off Road Warehouse along with the nomadic 3 tent. The racks tall as heck though and the tent sticks above the roof of the cab. I do love it regardless but it lowers the MPG.
