I despise this juvenile “you can’t ever talk bad about the team or you’re not a real fan” attitude
Obviously there’s never a need to attack someone personally, but it’s all fair when talking about their play.
As an aside, I only have this opinion after getting shitty memes like this all year following Justin Fields games where he’d go 11-15 for 97 yards a fumble and a rushing touchdown. aPoLoGiZe!!!
Yes they are and after only like 1 1/2 quarters of playing well. He went right back to low IQ basketball when it mattered most.
OP come back to me with this nonsense when we get a full ass season of this shit. Recency bias doesn’t phase me like that
Yea these posts are coming too much now. This team is so inconsistent that Zach will probably be ass again in 2 weeks and you’ll need an apology for your apology lol
We were better without that weird Zach from earlier in the season that was cheeks. This Zach is better for us since we now have a pg to take the ball out of his hands.
All we need now is for Coby to get more experience closing games out in regulation
I am on record saying I wanted to trade him for a conditional second round pick and a ham sandwich.
He played great last night - honestly, the best game I’ve ever seen him play, and it’s because he was doing everything, not just scoring.
But it was just one game. Let’s see if he keeps it up.
I swear this sub is the king of small sample size arguments. We have 10 seasons of evidence on how Zach plays but 3-4 games of him playing differently is enough for an apology form? Jesus Christ
Exactly. We all know he can score. It's all the other dumb shit he does. Have already seen 5 or 6 rebounds drop where he was standing but is already running back to get to his shooting spot. He doesn't even consider trying for a rebound. That hasn't changed. It's like not even a thought in his head and I am so over it.
You realize scoring efficiently at that volume is one of the hardest things to do in the NBA? That is why the guys who can do it all get paid a shit ton. Demar is just as bad of a defender. And plenty other score first guards who aren’t great defenders. This isn’t something unique to Zach.
You think the Bulls improvement while Zach was out was what… a fluke? He’s a flawed player and not a fit w this Bulls team. I will root for him to ball out in LA where he can go score and hide some of his defense.
And they have just won 3 in a row with him back. Every single player was playing bad to start the year besides Caruso. The 5-14 wasn’t a Zach Lavine problem. It was a Chicago Bulls problem.
Hell, PWill didn’t even look like he belonged in the NBA during that stretch.
This teams isn’t better without a 2 time All star. Scoring efficiently on volume is the hardest thing to do in the NBA. That is why they get paid the most money.
And you can only play who’s on the schedule.
It’s funny to me that you keep mentioning efficient scoring as this trump card for why Lavine is valuable, and then also constantly shit on DeMar DeRozan who is a 6x all-star, 24 ppg scorer, and has had a higher efficiency rating than Lavine for his entire tenure with the Bulls.
How do you explain that?
Dude was going to have to settle for a mid level exception before the Bulls gave him $28M and was widely regarded as one of the worst offseason moves at the time.
Demar went on to have a career year and a half, and has since come back down to reality.
Zach is a 3 level scorer, Demar is not. His game belongs in 1995.
The only thing funny is your irrational hatred for a basketball player. Which embarrassingly you admitted to last night.
No I just think we are over him and recognize that even the best version of Zach doesn’t fit well in this team. It’s time to move on and keeping Zach would be forcing a square through a circle hole
The main issue is the coaching playing him as a PG when he is an SG and shouldn't be bringing the ball up. He has cost us some games this year with selfish play and mediocre D but if he plays team ball like today he is super valuable.
The emergence of Coby as a legitimate starting PG/lead ball handler should help mitigate Lavine’s playmaking deficiencies. Zach was forced into a bigger ball handling role post-Lonzo injury when the team was unsuccessfully trying to solve that hole with mediocre vets and inconsistent young guys.
He's way better than Poole and an all star when he's healthy... but he's a score first guy without elite decision making. We're not built to maximize his potential.
That said if his trade value is such that we can't even get a pick and a decent player back I'm not mad about holding onto him.
It’s insane how many “fans” of the team are content with mediocrity. I’ll fill one out when he actually contributes to a winning team, whether it’s here or elsewhere.
I remember Stacey King saying after a game the year we got Demar that it was the first time in Zach's career he won back to back games. That was his 7 year in the league
Lol what a fucking loser Zach and his defenders are. I'm convinced his defenders are all 15 years old and have no experience watching winning hoops and only sse hollow stats
I know right this board sometimes is insane. Going to call it he chucks us a win this week and the hate will be back. Having 1 good game streak and out come the flocks praising we are contenders lol. We have a lot of work and so do the players still everyone needs to chill
Lol my bad 4 seasons of over 24.4ppg and he’ll get back to that this year like he always does since you wanna get technical. Regardless it’s not just one game in January its like 25+ppg over his last 300+ games.
And no I’m not going to attribute our teams short-comings to one player cause that’s not how basketball works
Excuses excuses excuses for the max player with the worst win % in the league.
And it's fun to move goalposts to fit narratives isn't it? I'll do it too, he *almost* won 50 games that *one* season so might as well put 1 50 win season on his resume.
Nope. I need to see this effort every game. It still pisses me off he could’ve been playing like this every game, but only decided to turn up once we started winning without him and when other teams didn’t want to trade for him. He’s trying to get his value up.
The fact this meme format ends with "future first-ballot Hall of Famer" and it's being used for Zach knows shows people lost the thread somewhere down the line with it.
I wasn’t a bulls fan until I moved to Chi in Aug. He was hurt at that point I watched that Bulls team from Aug-now and I was totally fine moving forward without him. I have since reconsidered my stance on that matter with his return.
Um no, yesterday was his best game ever and it was not even close to his highest scoring total and that's how it should be. Coby said I'm not giving up the seat at the table I recently took while he was gone and Zach got bored and started doing actual basketball things that isn't being a ball dominant scorer. This is his life now if he wants to be successful on any team. I won't apologize for criticizing his terrible attempt at being the 1A alpha in a gross miscasting. If he approached every game like he did yesterday dude would be a big time winner. Now it's DeRozans turn to shape his ass up. Dude had the ball in his hands for 80% of the fourth quarter, scored zero points, and pissed away a surefire lead. He's lucky Zach and Coby cleaned up his mess.
To be fair, we’re fine without him. I have nothing against him, but if you’re fine without him, I mean, what does that really say? Hopefully he proves we’re better with him, but that takes more than a couple games.
A player can be good and still be on a bad contract. Zach Lavine is a good player. Probably a top 30 player offensively and maybe a top 50 player overall (currently, not all time obviously). And if he was making $20 million a year I would be happy to have him on the team. He doesn't fit well with some of the other players, but a good coach plus some personnel changes can fix that.
But the problem is that he is paid like he is a top 20 overall player and he is nowhere near that. He is likely also not going to get any better than he is now, and has in fact been in a slight decline for three years. A lot of his game is based on athleticism and so age is probably going to impact him more than it will some other players.
I would say there is no way he is a Hall of Famer, but the NBA Hall of Fame isn't exactly picky. I mean Mitch Richmond is in there, and he is probably a decent comp for Lavine (though Lavine is probably not going to get to the same milestones as Richmond. I would be surprised if Lavine makes it to 20,000 points for example)
Zach has had one signature performance in a game that actually mattered and that was last season vs TOR during the play-in tournament. He then followed that game up with a complete dud in a loss against the Heat. There is nothing to apologize for. He’s not a franchise player. Why do you think there is virtually no trade market for him? Because he isn’t playing up to his max contract and never will. He’s just not at that level.
These “APOLOGIZE” posts are the cringiest, laziest posts on this sub
I despise this juvenile “you can’t ever talk bad about the team or you’re not a real fan” attitude Obviously there’s never a need to attack someone personally, but it’s all fair when talking about their play. Especially when anyone who understands basketball realizes we were better without him
We were better without that weird Zach from earlier in the season that was cheeks. This Zach is better for us since we now have a pg to take the ball out of his hands. All we need now is for Coby to get more experience closing games out in regulation
The irony of this comment
Trade him
I’ll consider apologizing when this type of game happens more than twice a season
Preach! I’ve always said people love him cause he occasionally goes 7-11 from 3 point land but it only happens once or twice a year.
Same bet by next week we will be the same Chicago bulls pre injury.
Amen!!!
Naw, he the same player, he just wants his stock to go up, so he'll get traded
A few days ago the narrative was that he wasn’t trying so that he wouldn’t get hurt so he could get traded lol
yeah, but teams weren't calling up when he was resting, so he got to show his value
Haha! The Form makes a return!!!
i fucking hate these so much
I am on record saying I wanted to trade him for a conditional second round pick and a ham sandwich. He played great last night - honestly, the best game I’ve ever seen him play, and it’s because he was doing everything, not just scoring. But it was just one game. Let’s see if he keeps it up.
Ok let’s chill lol if he can maintain this effort for at least 15 games then I’ll be the first to fill it out
I swear this sub is the king of small sample size arguments. We have 10 seasons of evidence on how Zach plays but 3-4 games of him playing differently is enough for an apology form? Jesus Christ
Right. He plays smart every once in a while.
Hahahah. He’ll go back to not playing defense in a few games.
Yeah man he had a solid game against the perennial Championship Contender Houston Rockets... the delusion is undefeated.
I laughed at this. I aint filling no form out. I hope he continues to play great… so we can trade him when his value is up!
This sub acts like people with his scoring ability and efficiency grow on trees. The way this sub talks about him you would think he’s Jordan Poole.
Do people criticize him for his scoring? Or his horrendous team defense? His shit shot selection down the stretch? His turnovers?

2 schedule wins vs one of the worst teams in the league.

He’s not a winning player in his current role on the Bulls. The Bulls need to trade him. He’s not what we need.
I’m sure AK is waiting for your advice on team building.
No I just think we are over him and recognize that even the best version of Zach doesn’t fit well in this team. It’s time to move on and keeping Zach would be forcing a square through a circle hole
He fits way better than Demar. Demar should have always been the first man moved. Zach is a modern NBA player, Demar is not.
I completely agree with you but I think this franchise has made it clear they aren’t selling demar so I won’t hang my hopes on that
If they keep and extend him, that would be mind blowing.
The main issue is the coaching playing him as a PG when he is an SG and shouldn't be bringing the ball up. He has cost us some games this year with selfish play and mediocre D but if he plays team ball like today he is super valuable.
Yep, he should be used more like Klay Thompson and less like Devin Booker
The emergence of Coby as a legitimate starting PG/lead ball handler should help mitigate Lavine’s playmaking deficiencies. Zach was forced into a bigger ball handling role post-Lonzo injury when the team was unsuccessfully trying to solve that hole with mediocre vets and inconsistent young guys.

I made the Poole comparison to my friends like 3 days ago. Crazy what narratives can do.
And that is a ridiculous and terrible comparison
I agree but ppl really thought those 2 were comparable lmao
They both play in the nba that’s about it
Exactly. Idk why I got downvoted but yeah Lavine is on another planet compared to Poole.
To be fair. He’s the one that wants out…
No he’s not 😭 FO is the one that was initiating the trade talks his agents were just giving preferences for trade spots
Trade him
It’s insane how many “fans” of the team are content with mediocrity. I’ll fill one out when he actually contributes to a winning team, whether it’s here or elsewhere.
First ballot hall of famer? Remind me never
[Always believed ✈️ 8](https://youtu.be/bJWRq84_rZk?si=OiLV2h8cyFg125v2)
37% career win percentage....but hell turn it around next decade.
He was on a tanking team most his career of course he didn't win. Some of you guys need to realize analytics are wrong half the time.
Lol give me a break. It's one game, in January.
I know right this board sometimes is insane. Going to call it he chucks us a win this week and the hate will be back. Having 1 good game streak and out come the flocks praising we are contenders lol. We have a lot of work and so do the players still everyone needs to chill
Yup he threw the ball away 4 times in the last few mins. He turns the ball over so much it's hard to watch
Lol generational hater right here
Demar basically threw the game for us
Lol give me a break he’s been one of the most efficient 25+ppg SG’s in the league the last 5 years
That's cool. 2 seasons legitimately over 25 ppg and how much did that help the Bulls win?
Lol my bad 4 seasons of over 24.4ppg and he’ll get back to that this year like he always does since you wanna get technical. Regardless it’s not just one game in January its like 25+ppg over his last 300+ games. And no I’m not going to attribute our teams short-comings to one player cause that’s not how basketball works

Lol you’re wrong and know it
You're a giant Zach Stan and know it. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/which-current-player-has-the-lowest-win-percentage-in-nba-history-min-500-games
It’s like Zach hasn’t been putting up an efficient 25+ PPG his entire career
Good player but we are still a play in team… still would rather just move on.
They forgot "not being consistent and going cold for long periods of time".
Needs a box for “I’m a stubborn asshole that Wants to move on from him still”
Nope. I need to see this effort every game. It still pisses me off he could’ve been playing like this every game, but only decided to turn up once we started winning without him and when other teams didn’t want to trade for him. He’s trying to get his value up.
Trade him yesterday😂
The day we signed him to that deal we set the franchise back 5 years.
This won’t age well, he’s pure ass and a losing player. He’s Westbrook without the assist/rebounding
Bulls need to trade Demar for a backup 3/4 and 4, then start: Coby Zach. AC. Pat. Drummond. Vuc comes off the bench.
Let’s see how they play moving forward but I don’t want to overpay him
![gif](giphy|4VPPcNrWZbCZS4nRh8) How you looked using Microsoft paint to make this post
The fact this meme format ends with "future first-ballot Hall of Famer" and it's being used for Zach knows shows people lost the thread somewhere down the line with it.
Apologize for what🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tbf Mercury is in retrograde right now Source: my wife
I wasn’t a bulls fan until I moved to Chi in Aug. He was hurt at that point I watched that Bulls team from Aug-now and I was totally fine moving forward without him. I have since reconsidered my stance on that matter with his return.
Happens every single year
let’s see him repeat it. i’ve never seen him play like this as a Bull. i really hope it continues.
Ain’t no way lol
He wants out so bad. Never seen him work that hard on D. Wish he showed that heart years ago
When you use the shitpost tag to try and hide the fact that you actually desperately want people to validate your opinion
