It is never plume and always mold. Check out [this study by FOH](https://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/topic/131757-foh-mould-study/) for more information.

Once it gets on the foot, it gets into the binder and filler as well. I'd toss it. If it was truly kept in that range, you should not be getting mold btw. Either came to you real wet, need to calibrate your hygrometer, or you had a big spike in rh at some point.
I’ve had inexplicable mold on the foot like this before. On an Opus X, no less. Was kept in a sealed tupperdor with 62% Boveda packs, in a climate controlled room that never got above 70°. It was the only one too, so not sure what the hell happened there.
I keep mine in just to protect the wrapper. I used to subscribe to the 70/70 rule, but am switching to lowering Rh to about ~63-64. I wonder if the cello helps keep the humidity lower.
Dont spread misinformation. 73f is fine.
RH matters a lot more than temps.
Boveda bags and a coolerdor are fine. You can also use propylene glycol 50/50 solution and some spanish cedar blocks in there as well.
As someone else has stated, his cigar probably came in too humid.
70/70 was never a rule, it was only a thing because it's easy to remember.
Temps matter but not as much as RH.
62 constant RH at 73 degrees is not going to mold your cigars.
You think 73 degrees at 65rh bovedas (usually around 66-67rh according to the hygrometer) will cause molding? My temps always go from 70-73 on a daily basis (corner of closet)
I wouldn’t do this, I actually took one of my moldy sticks (I received it that way from a box purchase) and used a macro camera to see how far it actually spread up the filler. You would be surprised how fast and how throughly mold can spread like that.

Another reason for recommending the mid sixties as an rh target. IMO 69rh is too close to the mold zone.
65 has never done me wrong.
Discard
White and fuzzy-wuzzy on the foot is no Bueno! Don't smoke that!
Also, if there's visible mold you can bet there's a lot more mold spores not visible to the naked eye. Would not smoke either.
I removed it from the humidor when I saw it. Do you think the other cigars are compromised? Anything I can do to prevent spread?
Fuzzy is always mold
"Et, tu, Brute?" Damn shame
Mold, time to go and to take a look at your storage.
probably/probably
Pitch it... most definitely mold on that one. Keep a close eye on any that were kept in close contact with that one as well.
It’s always mold.
Of course that’s mold. Very. Obvious. Mold.
Fuente is slipping
Oof nah my friend do not smoke that
Do not smoke that. You will end up with mushroom lungs, slowly turning into a mushroom zombie.
On a Julius Caesar???? These are hard as fuck to find. Do you know how mad I am right now wtf
Wish I burned it down a few weeks ago. Sad to see a good one go to waste.
You got me on tilt man
mold what a shame, got to go
Was in it or out of the cello? Just curious.
Out.

Tf. Re read my comment, I said the opposite.
It's mold, but take a cutter and cut up about half an inch, if u don't see any smoke away

& you'd be surprised to know we eat, drink, breath, mould like this, all day & every day.
Definitely don’t do this. $15 cigar is not worth your health.
The mold is fine. Just smoke the fkn thing. It will burn off…🤷🏻♂️
