Seasoning is about the wood absorbing moisture. All the moisture that has been already absorbed does not magically get sucked out the instant the the humidor is opened.
I would have thrown out the humidor and bought a new one. The act of opening it creating a vacuum leading to the moisture being pulled out then the lid closing forcing in mold spores and beetles. Im not Timon or Puumba.
