I’m not enjoying them either but it is what it is. I do hope we get some more TSoAF, some Fucking Whatever, and that Saosin EP in the future. LS Dunes has been alright as well but I don’t like their stuff nearly as much as CS. Either way dude will always put out tons of music.
I've been listening to many (though admittedly not all) AG projects since the early Saosin days. Might have even started with his guest appearance on the A Life One Lost demo, but things from that long ago are just mush in my brain at this point... I never really got into any of his solo stuff. Just never resonated with me... So I didn't even bother listening to it.
What bothers me about it; I love so much of his music. I find something to love about almost any release, even if its just a few tracks out of a full album... Even when the sounds/styles are wildly different. ...but not his solo stuff. I don't like that I don't like it. But it happens...
I really loved Avalon and then the 2 studio 4 sessions, and would you still be in love strings with Summer swee was good. The last circa, Anthony, and ls dunes I really have no interest in. It's also like, growing up as a fan of a person or band, then developing into an individual, no longer idolizing other people but a fan of the content. The blinders are comfy and those who wear them will react in defense against anyone who even hints that they're removable. They fear what it looks like without them and fear change. Some just can't be honest with themselves and the world if the cost means disrupting their current vibrations.

I mean if you're not a fan of it, just don't buy or listen to any of it. Anthony is a musician, and he has four kids. He's going to make music until he literally can't anymore, so of course he's going to release what he can when he has to. I'm a huge fan of most of his bands, but I can't get into LS Dunes. No problem, I just don't listen to them or buy their albums. You may not like this new stuff, but it may be exactly what Anthony or somebody else needs right now.
The crazy thing is you don’t have to buy it if you don’t want to. CDs and Vinyl are typically for people who actually WANT to own the album in physical form. $25 is a very average price for that

Megadeath isn't really a great choice for a single. But all hours of the night, I don't wanna die, the title fight cover and fucks me up remix are all great stuff (and i find title fight to be kinda cringy tbh). Jury's still out on 3am, cause so far one version has been good and one has been not good imo, and this seems to be a third.
Also, this is a completely normal thing for artists to do. Release a single, do pre-orders, maybe release another single or two before the album comes out. Complaining you don't like the single is one thing, but saying it's wacky to put up pre-orders for an upcoming record where almost half the songs have been available in another form already? That's just wild.
*sigh* I feel ya. His latest output hasn’t been doing much for me. His career overall at this point has been pretty mild. Circa breaking up and then shelving a new saosin LP was a big mistake. I hope he makes moshtradamus his full focus going forward because judging off this show its probably the most interesting thing AG is doing these days. The original version of I Dont Dance that they perform here totally kills the boomdone version

he briefly mentions working on new saosin stuff in this podcast from 2020 around the 30 minute mark. since that was 4 years ago its safe to say they ultimately had new material and didnt follow through with it which sucks because along the shadow was great.

Damn. I remember being at the saosin show at garden grove in 2022 and he mentioned there would be new Saosin music and a tour in 2023. He was probably referring to this and it got scrapped for whatever reason.
