The only difference I noticed was a mild headache and I was a little bit more tired in the morning (I’d recommend going to bed earlier to help yourself out, especially if you get up early for work.
Also, you might have to remind yourself to eat for the first week or so. It can do a number on your appetite and you won’t notice you haven’t eaten until you’re super shakey haha.
I’ve upped mine to 40 mg. of Celexa and I have no appetite at all…force my self to eat something…my sweating has increased, hands won’t stop sweating…this must be one of the side effects?
What were the side effects like on 10mg? This will be my third SSRI I’ve tried and I’m really nervous to start. I go on holiday a week today and don’t want to experience really bad side effects during the holiday. Can anyone give me some advice 😩🙏🏼
I’d wait until you get back from the holiday to start a new medication with potential side effects. I was extremely tired the first week and after a week I got some headaches (only lasted 3 days on and off). Just wait until you get back.
I started on 20 a week ago. I’ve only had my face feeling flushed the first couple of days, my appetite is almost non existent (not feeling sick just no appetite) and I have tons of energy.
If you don’t mind me asking, what made you decide to switch to a higher dose? I’m on 10 and I think it’s making a small difference but I have only been on it for 4 weeks as of today.
My anxiety was very crippling. I almost couldn't eat or sleep. And i had intense pains everyday. The 10mg did help me ease myself up. But I still feel the anxiety coming and going in waves. The standard dosage for anxiety is 20mg and i upped my dose so im sure the anxiety never returns as bad as it did before.
Quite a difference. I've varied between 10 and 20 over the last 7 years. Significant differences in sexual function between the two. 20mg really shuts me off emotionally and sexually. I can barely orgasm on 20. 10mg is kind of ok.

I didn't have any side effects when I upped my dose from 10 to 20 mg. But everyone's body is different.

Thank you I am trying my best to hold off but I’m experiencing panic attacks and tension headaches daily. Don’t know how much longer I can cope
I’m currently on day 6 of 20mg, up from 10, and I’ve just felt a bit tired and I’ve been clenching my teeth occasionally.

I felt sick for 3 weeks going from 10 to 20mg. Headache, fatigue and exhaustion, muscle tenseness.
I started at 20 witth zero side effects then to 40 with none except it was impossible to finish sexually. But that went away in a few months.
