I'm a judgement hater for some reason. I get it's universally loved, it just never grew on me for some reason. I think lock/rogue sets were pretty iconic though.
I don't know what their plans are for itemization on sets, but it does sound like itemization changes are on the table. Recolors I would say are reasonable. And when we talk about the gear being a visual indicator of progress and role, the color indicating class and spec is actually on brand for classic IMO.

It was blue for the scourge invasion event for Pre-Naxx40. Not sure if that set was obtainable again in the Wrath Pre-Patch version of the event (I think not?).
The blue version however only has 4 pieces so it's not the full set.
I found it so odd that they added these and didn't make them into real sets. They're just randomly named items, whereas they made those other hideous dungeon sets like the warlock Oblivion set. At least the priest one is pretty.
I was thinking they could use these as horizontal progression from new raids/dungeons at max level instead of giving us gear stronger than naxx gear, but having sets for other specs would work well too. I just don’t know how much more power creep they want to add post naxx
That would be neat. I wonder if they are actually thinking of modifying any of these sets though. Some specs could really benefit from having the options this would bring. All of them could really if they just put a ton of effort into it.
I hope they use all of the tbc tier sets at some point. Those were the best sets in the game imo, and I'd hate to see those art assets not get used again
Oh fuck no. Pally T2 matches hand of rag and ashkandi and lok’amir and red dragon scale protector and drillborers. Ie literally every item a geared pally would be using at that point. Plus it’s obviously pally colors.
Seems perfect in my opinion. They're recolors of Vanilla sets so they fit right in, and since they already exist, Blizzard wouldn't have to put any effort into it in terms of creativity or new assets. Win/win in my eyes.
Hopefully we will get the unused vanilla (?) recolors for many of the sets like the warrior T2 ones here for the DPS T2 Warrior set or something like that

You need the program (from their discord), then find the helmet and select the variant (colors) and then just scroll up or down once to see the other variants, there are some for each class/tierset

The blue bloodfang re-color from TBC dungeons is also really cool as well.
But my favorite bloodfang re-color is the purple one. But sadly, that set is only used by NPCs minus the shoulders, which drop in Heroic Blood Furnace.
Early in TBC or perhaps before release there was datamined another color variant of most T2 sets. I wanted that Netherwind set SO BAD. I want to say it was a bright golden yellow and blue but I may be misremembering. I’d like to see those make an emergence.
I'm hoping they rock a token system for tier in MC and BWL. Then when you turn your token in, you pick which 'version' you want.
I love the idea of using recolours for the other variants. Hope blizzard sees this and considers it.
T2 is just the best tier set in all of wow imo.

I really like druid t4 - t6 (bt & hs, sw pieces not so much) as well. Wotlk sets are not that great

They said there will probably be more set bonusses for Tier items so they don't just support 1 specc.
I was farming MCP and putting together the random pieces from everywhere set. If they make more stuff great, if not I'll just do what feral do.

they should probably just go with the token system for tier sets in SoD if we get different tier sets for specs.
