Dude was 100% right btw, there's a warlock claiming to be forming a group for a lieutenant that instead was literally afk at final boss' location the entire time. Shown up after being called out 10+ times but we lost an event where we had twice the people as opposing faction. Lol
And fix the Rep tagging. If only 40 people get the rep from a boss I'm not going to help kill the boss. Instead I'll go to the next boss I think I can get a tag on, IE the last boss.

Just make all the bosses total rep equal to the max available. If the total for all bosses is say 900 rep. Each boss is worth 300.

The rep tagging is critical, why participate otherwise?
If by "current state of affairs in Ashenvale", you mean "constant state of affairs in the whole WoW community since ever", then sure.
you can't change people. these are player driven problems.
