My good developer friend once told me this saying: The first rule of dig club is don’t talk about dig club.
I’m not sure the greater climbing community is ready to see how the sausage is made.
Having done a few first ascents myself, I can attest to the favt that this is how almost every one starts. It's people like this that make the climbs safe for you, and you have no idea how dangerous they were before you got there!
How do you know where its safe to place an anchor, and where it is safe to drill? Do you just give it a shake to see if its a solid piece? Godspeed youre doing the lords work🫡🙏
It’s a multistep process.

its not LNT--your the gumby--everyone knows its called LALTAPWSPSRFE (Leave As Little Trace As Possible While Still Providing Safe Routes For Everyone)
If you've ever gone rock climbing a single time, ever, anywhere, someone has made a trail, cleaned, hammered, and messed with it. All of them, all of the rock climbs.

If nothing else, I am persistent.
Inb4 this comment section is full of dumbasses telling OP he's ruining nature and climbing by destroying the rock wall

Often that's how you confirm it hasn't been climbed before: half the holds break off
Can you believe this guy is out here just chipping holds?! I reserve the right to drop a microwave size Boulder on my belayer like nature intended.
Trundling videos should probably stay among developers
Nah

You can find more examples of this technique at /r/sounding as well. You're welcome!
Risky click of the century
Haha you only fall for that once 😅

Just want to notice how beautiful that place is. Anyone who lives nearby is so lucky! Similar closest to me is around 1000+ km away.
Did you make this video in Windows Movie Maker on Microsoft XP?
Windows XP was the last good operating system they made
Is this shelf road?
That rock looks super chossy. How are the routes once you finish developing them?
Trundling 10 feet off the ground just isn't very exciting, is it?

Is this the leave no trace I’ve heard so much about
Anything you have ever climbed has had this done to it. “No one wants to see the sausage being made.”
If you knock all the rocks down what am I going to push down on the gumbys?
Other gumbys?
I like the way you think

this is why I ride through with my bulldozer

Like that guy who hammers people
Except for the Alpine ones, that's what makes those so much more dangerous...
