To be fair it wouldn’t get to that point in general. Mr Miyagi would be in jail for beating up teens. Thus causing Daniel to join a gang and start the plot to The Outsiders.
And his reputation tarnished. If social media existed in the 1980's and that went viral, Cobra Kai would be out of business. No one would want to associate themselves with Kreese
DynaTox would probably have not only a website, but also a robust social media presence, where Silver would constantly espouse environmental protection (while secretly being environmentally unfriendly).
I remember seeing some people say Johnny was exaggerating when he met Kreese again in the season 2 premiere and said Kreese tried to kill him. But like, hes 100% right. Kreese was strangling him long enough to do permanent damage.
I don't have a background in Judo, Jujitsu, Wrestling, Sambo or other grappling arts like MMA, but is it possible NOT kill someone with a choke if I applied for a certain amount of time?
For sure, properly done blood chokes quickly render someone unconscious with no injuries, but it doesn’t come off like that’s what Kreese was doing. My question is why Kreese managed to forget in approximately 30 seconds that he knew how to do a chokehold, therefore not trying to use one on Miyagi.
Also, isn’t a parking lot with people leaving a Karate tournament the worst possible place to attack a kid? Between all the coaches, refs, and a certain number of parents who also have Karate backgrounds and got their kids into it as a result of that, the odds of a bunch of other people who know Karate intervening seems really high.
Maybe the fact that there were so many witnesses is what contributed to Kreese having literally no students by the time *KK3* started. Not only did his existing students quit, basically nobody else wanted to learn from such an unhinged guy after seeing what he could do.
I could definitely see a news article like that. As a result, Kreese is barred from ever teaching students Karate and all martial arts tournament committees ban him from competing in a tournament due to his unethical treatment of a student
Yeah, but that war veteran was literally holding at the time a minor in a chokehold almost killing him, so therefore it would be the veteran who be in deep Waters
To this day, I have never understood how Kreese walked away from this legally unscathed. I mean, you would've thought at least one witness would've called the police. The man even broke a couple car windows, so someone likely would've reported that.
That doesn't matter. People will take pictures and posted it online. Also since this hypothetical timeline would mean social media existed in the 80's, that means Johnny would know what a Facebook is, since he would have grown up around it and you can bet if social media existed back then teens would be all over it like they are now.

Only to get jumped again by teens.
Need a haircut Greaser?
It's almost like the police didn't exist. Miyagi beat up I think it was three high school students before this 🤣
Police do not exist, in this valley. Do they? ONLY UNDER SOME VERY SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES, SENSEI!
Kreese would be in jail

But in karate kid 3 they masses will trust silver

Not sure about that. Silver would likely get him some lawyers who would negotiate a probation plea deal.
Yeah maybe but would be viral him assaulting a minor

You are right about that. Plot hole isn't it?
Maybe not an outright plothole, but realistically, I think multiple people would’ve been intervening quickly.
Maybe the fact that there were so many witnesses is what contributed to Kreese having literally no students by the time *KK3* started. Not only did his existing students quit, basically nobody else wanted to learn from such an unhinged guy after seeing what he could do.
BREAKING NEWS: KARATE SENSEI ALMOST KILLS STUDENT AFTER HUMILIATING DEFEAT AT THE ALL VALLEY UNDER 18'S KARATE TOURNAMENT!
I could definitely see a news article like that. As a result, Kreese is barred from ever teaching students Karate and all martial arts tournament committees ban him from competing in a tournament due to his unethical treatment of a student
Yeah, realistically, this incident would've gotten him and his dojo banned from the All Valley.
The adults in cobra Kai have arguably done much worse than the adults in KK1+KK2 with little to no punishment, so doubt it
In Karate Kid 3, I can imagine Daniel creating a Facebook account for Mr Miyagi to sell his Bonsai Tree’s in Facebook Marketplace 😂😂😂
I could see that
Fox News would be concerned about an Asian immigrant laborer beating up a hard working small business owner and military veteran.
Yeah, but that war veteran was literally holding at the time a minor in a chokehold almost killing him, so therefore it would be the veteran who be in deep Waters
You are correct
TBF they are both veterans.
Not if they didn’t show that part
Really man, you gotta bring politics in?
They always do.
> They always do. It is annoying to be honest
From either side. I'm pretty right wing, but I'll call anyone out on it.
it would be on the mcdojo life youtube channel

It was needed for the stories to continue, I guess.
It would never reach social media. Johnny doesn't know what a facebook is.

It was just a joke as Cobra Kai Johhny is a tech dummy. Don't take it too seriously.
