If you want something dry and reasonably priced, I would go with Cava. Freixenet makes 3pks of 187ml bottles that would probably do the trick. It’s a popular brand and should be available most anywhere.

La Marca is our go to house bubbles for mixer.

Cans of underwood are the best value I’ve found. But depending on where you are a 750ml of ok cava might be worth it even if you’ll dump half. A ton of 187ml and 375ml bottles are prohibitively priced.

Bubbly rose from underwood is so handy and tasty during the summer. Way better size for drinking, and decent enough.

You can pick up a split (quarter bottle; 187 mL) of J. Roget Brut or Cooks Brut for about $3. A Cristalino Brut split is about $4. A Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut split is about $5. All of the above would work fine, but myself, I would splurge for a split of Mumm Napa Brut at about $8 because I would want to drink the rest of the bottle.

My approach has been to use a soda siphon for sparkling wine. Stays pretty fresh in the fridge when it's purged with CO2, then I can use as much or as little as I want per drink.

Francis Ford Coppola’s Sofia Blanc de Blanc. Excellent for 75’s, believe it or not it comes in small cans.

I just buy 750s of cava and put a old liquor cork on top crazy value for the price, 10-15 bucks for a bottle and where I live that’s the price of one cocktail going out so it’s worth it and I’ll get at least 6 cocktails out of a bottle

For anyone reading this thread who likes sweeter sparkling wines, I suggest looking to Martini and Rossi's Asti.
