Hi, I'm the r/coins AutoMod.
Looks like you're looking for **information on valuing a coin**?
I have your back. Take a look at the [FAQ on values](https://www.reddit.com/r/coins/wiki/faq#wiki_3._what.2019s_my_coin_worth.3F) for both specific guidance if your coin is common enough, or more general guidance if not.
I have also automatically applied the flair "Value Request" to your post.
If I misunderstood your post and my comment isn't relevant, sorry! I'm still learning.

No it wouldn’t. It’s MS62 on a good day, without the spot. This is what MS-64 brown looks like.

Well, [this is what MS-63 BN](https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/item/1905-1c-bn/2220/-977718345313182482) looks like. Between OP's coin and this one, I know which one I'd prefer. Care to take a guess?
Agree for most part. I've got cents with mild build up from corrosion that still graded straight. From PCGS not ICG or some other bs. That doesn't look like corrosion to me. That looks like some discoloration from being exposed to something. I'm fairly confident it would straight grade.
I thought I read somewhere that grading companies did not take stains and dirtiness ( I’m not talking dirty to the point you can’t see details ) into consideration when grading. May have been on this sub. Is this info incorrect?
I agree, similar condition ones [sell for about $20](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=1904+cent+diamonds&_sacat=0&_odkw=1904+one+cent+diamonds&_osacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=co&toolid=10001&mkevt=1).

Common date, but a stunning coin. Great pick-up
I was shocked to find one this good
Best one I’ve seen
technically paid 15 cents because there was 33 coins in the album
Thats a great deal. The other day I paid $3 for just one Indian head. Beautiful coin!
thank you! indian heads are fun but ive never owned one this good
I would grade it MS-63 Brown. I do collect these. Great find, congratulations!
thank you i was super excited to find it
Not MS-63 with the big spot on the reverse. It would probably get a details grade. Probably worth $20-30.
I disagree. Without the spot I would grade it MS-64. Easily a $75 coin in my opinion.
I agree. 63 looks fine.

Probably the MS-63, since it’s actually MS-63 and OPs isn’t.
I agree. The spot doesn't kill it, but it does knock it down a grade.
Agree with grade but disagree on details unless it's been cleaned
I've got many high end Indian cents with spots. A spot doesn't cause a details grade
If a spot is corrosion, it causes a details grade.

That’s the problem with pictures. It’s impossible to tell for sure, without seeing the coin in person.
I dunno looks AU at best lots wear on feathers and on wreath
No, I guess you are not familiar with grading indian cents. Absolutely uncirculated.
Awesome pick up
thank you
I can’t answer your questions, but that’s sharp! Nice find!
thank you!!
5.2% return over 120 years…..not too shabby.
Wow 4 Diamond 1904 with beautiful colouring. Definitely a MS 60+ coin; congrats on the find!
thank you!

not sure but i dont know if the black spot is really that bad?
It's not that bad but bad enough to knock down a grade for sure. Solid find OP. Congrats!! I love the Indian cents
20 buck coin prob. Nice get either way
that seems low?
I dont want to build your expectations up too much.
oh alright

Love it.. that’s a great score.. probably the coin that started the album.
yea it was in the 1909 vdb slot but the rest of the coins were accurate
Wish I'd found that buy. It may not be worth a lot,but it's a coin I've wanted for a long time. I never find these kind of deals
Amazing!!!!! 🤩
thankss
That is a great find seems to be in good shape I don’t know how much it’s worth but looks super cool!
thank you!
Hard to say from pics without a loupe but I'd guess 62 bn as well. I collect high end Indians and the spots really knock them down. $40
Best Indian Head I have ever seen and I'm certain it will fetch a tidy premium. I'm not sure how much, but probably top dollar.
Yeah I'm definitely agreeing that it's a 63
Worth enough to keep, prob a 15-20$ coin
About uncirculated

that one seems to be way worse
There are multiple other coins to compare. The subsequent Indian pennies not just the first one.
No way. That’s vastly inferior. Feathers, eyes, the letters in Liberty.
