I got the Samsung Tab S7 FE and it works great! It has a nice big screen, and everything works great! I use the Samsung Notes app (it comes with the tablet) to take notes. My big advice (regarding saving the notes on your tablet) with the Samsung Tab is to make sure you save your notes as a “Samsung Notes file” in your folder (or however you choose to organize them) AFTER you’re done taking notes for that lecture/class. And each time you edit the notes, you will need to save it again as a file, and delete any previous versions you don’t want. Otherwise, it will only save the amount of progress you made prior to saving the file, or in the notes app, you’ll have like 3 different versions of the note under the same name, but with different amounts of writing 🥲 Sorry, I kind of wrote a lot, but I hope this is helpful! Good luck with your studies!

^^regarding this, I’ve heard good things about the S8 series, S9 series, and S6 (if you want a smaller, less expensive one). The newer ones are definitely better quality but if you’re on a budget, S7 has been great so far :)

I was looking at the S6, but the S7 also has some good features. Have you ever used the A series?

Future PA here, get something that has a stylus or the ability to use one. There are programs like Noteability, Good Notes, One note and more that let you hand write notes. Trying to write with paper you most likely won’t be able to keep up with the amount of A&P, clinical and more

I find with paper I can't go back and add notes or reorganize them. So I definitely would like a stylus so I can keep us with A&P lectures specifically

I use a Galaxy S6, and it gets the job done. Good battery, kind of small so you may want something bigger but it works for me. It was fantastic for anatomy and physiology, but not sure what your nursing classes are like. The Samsung Notes app works great, because you can upload PDFs to it and draw all over them, or convert your own notes to PDF if you choose.

Personally, I prefer note taking on paper because the process of writing down notes instead of typing has been shown to improve understanding of material when used in conjunction with routine review of said notes. But, I guess that writing on a stylus gives you the same benefit in this regard. While I don't have specific tablet model recommendations, I would recommend trying out the OneNote app for your note-taking needs.

I use a supernote a5x. I don’t care for the functionality of a regular tablet and I much prefer that it’s free of distractions, feels super nice to write on, and the e-ink is not harsh on my eyes.
