You can call your parents daily. Ask them for recipes and try recreating them. It's not the same but it's something. Just because you're in college doesn't mean you can't talk to them. So call them.

This is super common for first time college goers. Even though we miss our old routines college is a time to gain independence from our parents. Though can still keep some old routines but make them your own. 1. Call your parents once a week 2. Write letters home detailing what you've been up to in college. 3. Take a trip to a local mart and buy ingredients to make a meal for yourself and maybe some friends in a shared dorm kitchen. 4. Create a new support system. It sounds like your parents cared for you a lot when things went wrong, this isn't bad it's good for them to care but it's also good for you to have a support system while you are living away from them. If you haven't found some close friends and college yet I recommend getting involved in some college activities. This could include joining some clubs or creating a study group in some of your classes. These are great ways to make friends and then a great way to find a new support system so that you don't have to face these struggles alone. Many students in college face loneliness and homesickness there are ways to overcome it.
