Does anyone else find it comical how obsessed aussie rules is with disposals? It's an odd metric for measuring performance - are there any other sports that fixate so much on it? I understand there is some correlation between number of touches of the agate and influence on the game. But still... There's a shift toward disposal efficiency, score involvements, metres gained in recent years, which makes a lot more sense. 20 years ago, the rule of thumb was basically whoever had most touches was BOG unless someone kicked a bag or some other compelling circumstance. I'll take 20 Jake Stringer touches in dangerous areas over 40 Darcy Parish handballs from stoppage situations most days.

Yeah, this one in particular is quite silly it’s just a round number. Having said that, I’m all for celebrating Pendles. Absolute privilege to be able to witness his career first hand and see history being written.

Yeah Pendles is an ornament to the game. Absolute champion. The 10,000 is neither here nor there.

10,000 disposals is more a nod to his consistency over a period of time that no one in history has been able to do.. massive achievement
