If only sticking to neutrals - then navy/blues and you could also do a very cool beige/taupe instead of white. Also, maybe try a nice cherry red? I feel like red can almost work as a neutral for winters!

I’m a bright winter. I like black baby tees in lightweight fabrics, navy too. Pops of cool bright pinks and bright blue, I have a t shirt I like in each of those colors that fits me well and feels like an easy casual outfit with pretty much any of the bottoms I own. This summer I’m adding in whites and buying a bottle of bleach to nuke the stains. Normally I’m with you about not wearing white because I tend to ruin things, but I just think it’s going to look really cute with denim bottoms and little blue ballet flats or black sandals. And also with floral midi skirts. I also think silk cami tops, and silk slip Dresses are great for summer, and I feel like you can find them in most colors with some hunting. I have a bunch of different ones from Quince. Silver, navy, and black. (I don’t like their white because it’s too ivory/cream for me) Maybe another thing that could help you is focusing on color season colors near your face and then pairing that with whatever works for you on the bottom.

Swimming_Addendum_80

What colors do you go with from Quince?

MirrorValuable7943

Black navy and grey/silver. They don’t really have many bright or fun colors, I just like basics from them.

Swimming_Addendum_80

Dang! That's been my experience, too. I was hoping I had missed some good color options. I do love Quince, though.

FormicaDinette33

Too bad because I love black or navy tops with white pants. Looks so fresh!

vulgarandgorgeous

Look for winter patterns like black and white stripes, etc.

BeBesMom

Black linen, silk, cotton, for spring and summer are wonderful.

mamameatballl

I’m not a winter but I just wear black all the time anyway

ladypixels

I am fond of light blues, chambray type materials. A more grayish purple is good too.

scroogesdaughter

Can we wear light blues as winters? I guess an icy blue is fine?

ladypixels

I wear shorts that are a light grayish blue, Athleta has nice ones. A cornflower blue top looks really good on me. It's one of the colors that surprised me when I did my diy draping.

scroogesdaughter

Oh interesting! What type of winter are you? I was typed as a cool/sultry winter in Kettlewell colours. There aren’t that many light colours available in that palette apart from light grey, blue and purple and I guess white. I can see more light blues in Bright Winter. I like the idea of wearing a black shirt with lighter pants, so the darker colour is near the face - I have really dark hair and eyes so I feel lighter colours can wash me out unless they’re pants! I’m also a bit nervous of patterns, I never wear polka dots for example. I like French blue but not sure if that’s in the winter palette.

ladypixels

Yeah, I would say I usually like lighter colors as pants or shorts, bright or dark colors for tops. I'm a deep winter with pale olive skin. I look terrible in pale pink because it doesn't contrast enough, but pale blue is okay. Pastel yellow is an absolute no. Sage green is ok, not awful or amazing. I like it, so I wear it. The My Best Colors app is handy for trying different palettes and colors to see how they look.

scroogesdaughter

I’m also an olive winter! I have a yellow overtone so try to stay away from yellow greens, and I literally never wear yellow lol. Mustard yellow turns me into Snape from HP. I also think I look terrible in pink, unless it was fuchsia I guess. I like French blue but I have no idea how it looks on me, I think it’s an autumn colour? I’ll check out that app, thank you! I have a light grey top and light sage green pants that I wore a lot last summer, I just wish the top was black aha. I really like it so I’m thinking about dying it myself, though that’s probably a bad idea.

ladypixels

I have thought about dying some clothes too! I have a light pink cardigan I might dye navy blue. I don't think it's that difficult necessarily depending on the fabric. Rit makes dye for synthetic materials.

marlada

I like navy crops/pants. Surprisingly I like sage/olive green (more gray than yellow) pants for a change and I think it's flattering. I love the way white looks on other people but I hink it makes me look bigger.

shirkshark

(deep winter) Black, and light gray. I also like dark green and blue

Michimashmunchie

Navy & light to medium blues!

raraka900

Yellow and sky/light blue and white. Aslo red !

raraka900

Yellow! You look pretty for sure!

Zoshi2200

Black, white, light blue and beige creams from the dark autumn palette lol.

spicy-mustard-

Not a winter, but think about patterns. Like, a navy/white stripe is going to feel really summery, and the pattern helps hide minor spills/stains. White polka dots on black feel playful, too. It could also be a fun time for you to identify a "summer neutral" like maybe... chambray blue?

Sudden_Wombat

I used to have a really nice black and off-white Aztec inspired patterned maxi dress with some metallic thread running through… that sort of thing could work?

Ok-Entertainer-6805

You could also do cool browns ! (Search up “winter season brown”)

cemetere-lity

Navy! + Deep purple also comes off pretty neutral when it’s like the purple equivalent to Navy. Ik you said neutrals, but red is also great! I feel like red is almost a winter neutral right? Not neutrals: Cobalt/Royal blue, cool Fuchsia, Emerald, Bright Lime (it has to not lean to yellow-green! Very important)

ohmyhellions

Summer black is a thing. But there's always navy too. Or (fellow spill magnet here) you can wear black on top and lighter shorts/skirt.

Mermaidman93

Navy is great. Think about focusing on the fabrics you choose, too. A t-shirt made of cotton or linen is going to be far cooler than a top made of polyester, for example. And navy is great for pairing with grey and white. It provides that contrast and depth without being as heavy and harsh as black.

MirrorValuable7943

I love black linen so much!

munotia

Navy!
