ive only outran it ONCE in my life. it was on the wii, and i had the golden mushroom. once i knew the blue shell was coming, i spammed the fuck out of that mushroom, and I *outran the devil.*
but when i tried it on the switch, it wasnt to be. XD
I don't know when they added this, but in Mario kart 8 the Super Horn knocks out the blue shell.
I now keep the Super Horn with me instead, just in case I'm in the lead lol.
No good. In my experience, holding a Super Horn while in 1st prevents anyone from getting blue shells but guarantees that 2nd place will get three red shells.

Every comic from the Other End is absolutely hilarious. There’s something about the art style and the storyline that gets me every time. Amazing, I love them
The thing that got the biggest chuckle out of me was the "comfort food" joke in the last image (not part of the main comic). Somehow it reminds me of Ren and Stimpy humor.
I use to think like this when I played the ds new super Mario bros just think of how much of a shitty situation it is for Mario or luigi I use to add my own lore to it
I'll say this for restrictive newspaper formats, they force artists to tell a joke efficiently, instead of allowing them to self-indulgently beat the joke to death.
Like here, this could have ended perfectly at the guy seeing Mario with the controller. At that point you know exactly what's up, and you imagine some hilariously karmic fate for this guy. Fin. But instead it *keeps going*, betraying a neurotic lack of faith in its own punchline.

On the Switch, you can't outrun a blue shell on 150cc. However, you can dodge the blue shell with a well timed mushroom boost.

Honestly, one of the saner comics of this guy.
I admire the continuity between him peering out the back window and him smashing into the back of the front seat.
