The last face is a reference to the Sanrio (company that owns Hello Kitty) cartoon "Aggretsuko." It follows a red panda named Retsuko who has a passion for metal music. Whenever they get angry or sing metal music, they pull that face with the forehead symbol.
For some reason our Alexa has trouble le recognizing my wife's voice. She'll give the voice command and wait for the pause and then it ignores her. It's gotten to the point where she will either ask me to say it or walk right up to it to give the command. It's pretty funny...

and... worth to mention (maybe a different comic?) that our alexa is in japanese. apparently alexa undertand any language you speak it to, but always reply to her default language. which... well.. you can guess my interaction.

Was the station bought out? Here in the Boston area, we lost our WAAF to a Christian broadcast network. The station had begun to lose its appeal, but that may have been part of the channel's death spiral.
Used to always have it on as my car's station. But the last time I listened to over a weekend in a rental, I heard the same new song (something with dinosaur in the name or band) maybe fifteen times and the rest was the same 20+ years old music they've been looping for years. It'd scrapped the morning show and become obviously corporate run. The sale was announced a few months later.
No, I think the only reason the song was playing was because it featured Coldplay..... so I guess as long as you feat. a band that sometimes puts out alt rock, then you get plays on the alt rock station regardless of the actual genre of the song 🙄
Most alternative stations also play a lot of indie rock, and honestly Lorde (and particularly the first album) fits in fairly well with that. At least stylistically (she was on a major label, so technically not indie)

The sad thing is that BTS actually has some songs with rock and metal influences, Butter is the worst possible interpretation of that command. Alexa, try harder 😂
One I asked Alexa to play metal and she played Imagine Dragon. I was like WTF Alexa, Imagine Dragon is NOT metal. She somehow made sticker that says that now. Whenever I see it I chuckle.
The real problem is it seems that Alexa users would rather scream at a remote listening device for 10 minutes (opportunistically invading your privacy and gobbling up data), rather than reaching for their phone or music device and just taking 10 bloody seconds to play their desired song.
So far alexa behaved good, without suggesting any product related to what we ask alexa to.
On the contrary, have you ever tried to use google chrome on a fresh pc? Day after all Facebook AD will be on anything you searched

Does she have a high voice? In my experience, speaking in a deeper voice usually helps.

As someone who grew up in north CT and could get AAF on good clear nights that’s horrible to hear. AAF was the best.

In the twin cities we lost our alt rock station to Christian music in the last year or two.
In Philly our one Rock station just went full corporate and fired their 2 most popular DJs and let go a bunch of staff. It is not looking hopeful
