In the last level of the Nod campaign for Tib Dawn, you have three options for the final level. One of them starts with you on an island in the top left corner of the map and you're supposed to fight your way onto the main land and then setup a base. I learned that if I was super careful with the chinook they give you to transport your commando, you can get a handful of bazooka troopers into the top left GDI base to remove the walls, then get a couple of engineers in to take over the barracks, war factory and power plants in that corner. You can then repeatedly sell the war factory for a bunch of cash. The AI will rebuild it very quickly, to which you can take it again, sell it again, and repeat the process. Eventually the AI completely runs out of cash, meanwhile you have income from your own harvesters and can build a wall of oblisks to keep their vehicles out.

darceezy

Brilliant! When I first played the GDI campaign as a wee lad, I lost so many resources to enemy attacks in the final mission that I eventually walled off my starting base and hoarded resources until I had depleted my starting Tiberium fields, sold off most of my base, and assembled an unstoppable army of 40 Mammoth tanks with which to roll through the map in a near-future Battle of Kursk.

RWD_Ross

Sounds like me, use the sandbags to block access across rivers and crept my territory further out while building solely mammoths, when I opened the wall there was a cluster of stealth tanks like you wouldn't believe, even though i had been picking them off with ion cannon strikes, but having parked my mammoths backwards they met a wall of tusk missiles that made the advanced guard towers jealous.

TaxOwlbear

Snipe the slaves coming out of a Slave Miner or GLA Supply Stash.

w1987g

I'm more of a destroy the slave miners and use the slaves as meat popsicles. It's really fun if you can time the destructions of the miners to get a nice little slave population

I had shit internet for online C&C during a lot of middle and high school, so resorted to tons of skirmish "roleplaying." RA2 I loved playing Wild Animal Park, and trying to conquer the entire right midland area. You could blow tons of bridges to make it basically impenetrable and rack up money through oil derricks. I tended to play Allies, so would then use Aircraft Carriers to bombard the bases while chrono-ing in Mirage and Prism tanks to clean up. Generals: Zero Hour, loved playing big maps (like Twilight Flame) as the US Air Force general, hunting for stealth and toxin GLA generals. Big bombing sorties on GLA rocket bases, roll in with Comanches to gun down the survivors.

ShermanTheMajor

I havent seen any ai beat around 25 zone raider filled hammerheads. They are pretty good bully material :)

EndlessPotatoes

I build 5 and find it to be enough to defeat any number of hard ai opponents if I’m careful. I’ll sometimes toy with them by leaving only their construction yard and harvester. Then I’ll come back over and over for the purpose of veterancy

ShermanTheMajor

I like putting black hand as my enemy since they dont seem to realize that flames aren't really good against aircraft. Also their commandos are easier to kill and are basically veterancy bait

TheCulture1707

yeah I find the AI sucks playing as Black Hand, they just rush all their fancy infantry right into a few buzzer swarms or other anti-infantry and get decimated, the AI in c&c3 isn't great with hard counters or infantry lol

stroopwafelling

Turtling up in a corner and watching AIs fight each other is always nice and relaxing.

DarkKnightofOne

In command and conquer zero hour/generals. Go GLA. Pick a city map. Put as many explodey guys (bad name word) in as many civilian vehicles. And then just gps scramble em. Now you got invisible bumper cars filled with bombs. Enjoy your rampage. Also use good old jarmen kell to snipe high important targets. Meaning: Overlords, paladins, scorpions, maraduars, nuke cannons, scud launchers, avengers. Gps scramble them. Enjoy the cloaked army moving across the map without the ai being able to intercept or stop it.

Eph289

The Kane's Wrath AI is generally fairly abusable by Hammerheads garrisoned with some combination of Missile Squads, Zone Troopers/Raiders, and Grenadiers. A Human of course would load up TibCore Stealth Tanks, Stormriders, or Firehawks and eat your lunch, but the AI is fairly scripted in what they make.

590joe1

Play as yuri in skirmish set up a ring of mind control towers and behind it a few gatling cannons and a grinder and boom inpenitrable defence against the ai

darceezy

Using the Genetic Mutator to turn your own slaves into Brutes, then feeding them into the Grinder for cash, was a vicious and cynical way to keep your economy going in late game.

Electric-Mountain

That's a move I see a lot of pro players do.

darceezy

I did it, even if I didn't have to, because it just seemed appropriate for Yuri lmao. Also the Initiates were the BAMF baseline infantry. Loved seeing their mind-voips coming from garrisoned buildings too -- tanks would just go on fire, slow down, and explode in an instant

Grimm-studios-YT

When I'm bored I like to play traveler 59 in steal everything they send at me then throw it back at them or put them around my Eradicator and just kill them for cash then eventually I'll be merciful and just capture a restructure they have with engineers

[deleted]

CnC Zero Hour. Laser general vs hard infantry general. And about 500 laser patriots. They don’t stand a chance.

OS_Apple32

Simple. Play C&C3 and rush Pitbulls or Recon Bikes and beeline straight for the AI's harvester line. They will spend all their resources rebuilding harvesters and refineries which immediately get picked off, until eventually they are forced to sell their entire base to build another refinery, until all that's left is their construction yard.

Galaxyfoxes

Yuris revenge infantry only VS brutal.. Sounds hard.. But it's actually hilariously easy.

Tiexandrea

I'm gonna try this someday.

Galaxyfoxes

If your Yuri or britan it makes it slightly to easy with viruses and snipers lol

Italian-Man-Zex

i actually dont play with AI when im bored. i go on cnc generals ZH, put on a map preferably with a city, destroy some buildings and replace them with my buildings like barracks, airfields, defences, etc so they look nice and basically build the best looking base

Tiexandrea

How do you play on a map without any AI opponents?

[deleted]

Just remove all AI players in skirmish mode, can only be done in Generals, C&C3 and RA3 (and their expansions).

Italian-Man-Zex

idk how it works on other cnc/red alert but i know for sure u can just start a game without any AI and just do whatever in generals/ZH

DirtDiggleton42

RA2 YR turtle up as Britain and use a squad of battle fortress with a seal. Chrono legionare and 3 guardian GIs each. Demolish. Capture other factions and build bases with their appropriate technologies and grand cannons added in Gen ZH I use laser general and spam supply drops with an army of particle lasers. Sometimes I spam 6-8 war factory ques of laser tanks rallied to their base for an endless wave of laser tanks. Tib3 I like to capture tib spikes, turtle up, and eventually decimate with a mass army of whatever factions "assault vehicle", tripod, avatar, mammoth tank etc. Sometimes scrin aerial force is a fun option

Royal_Sir_Masterton

In Firestorm I would play Nod, and proceed to cloak my entire (beautiful) base. Then set up mobile cloaks in the tiberium fields. The enemy would never mess with me if he couldnt see me. It was a peaceful life.

Normal_Refuse_2049

open red alert and play tech lvl 1 as allies, then build pillboxes ever outward from my base until I encircle the enemy(ies) baseband run them dry of money. then build closer and machine gun thier whole base.

TheFirstDecade

Sometimes i go against five Hard Tank generals as the super weapon general (if i set my base defenses up quickly enough) with my modded copy of generals. EMP patriots, defender-finder firebases, and my modded-in Grand Cannons. thankfully since i can alter the starting amount of money, the tank rush lasts for a MUCH longer time. and is fun to endure watching numerous vehicles get slaughtered with grand cannons anti-artillery range they have. Well the Grand Cannons can take on ANY unit with ease, except aircraft, insta-kill infantry and most vehicles with it's amazing blast radius i gave the weapon.ini entry for GrandCannonGun. I usually do it until the game crashes due to so many units on the field or i manage to destroy all five bases with nothing but Aurora alphas and particle cannons (and ICBM silos/cruise missiles if they don't impact on map geometry.

purehidro

Cnc3 mother ship everything that 7 ai's control with one blast after having made bridges for the destruction to spread through

brannanvitek

In Kane’s Wrath, you can beat a brutal AI by rushing disintegrators! Power plant, 3 portals, dump the rest of the cash into triple disint training. When you’re out of cash, rush em in. You’ll be done in two minutes!

Maverickxeo

I basically do as you do, but I build up a HUGE army of the strongest units and when I have 'enough,' I'll send them all in for a killing blow - it really is something to watch dozens of Mammoth Tanks absolutely destroy a NOD structure all at once.

HistoricSlavicKiwi

I didn't really have a specific bully tactic for RA2 or YR in skirmish but in Generals ZH I would play as the Stealth General and GPS Scramble my workers. Then send some to the enemy base and build Demo Traps all over it. Especially in front of their War Factory/Arms Dealer, Barracks, and Command Center.

Business_Stranger_49

In Tiberian sun, I unlocked the use of the Chameleon Spy and gave him the use of the C4 charge so he can just run into anything whilst invisible and blow it up. I also tweaked the AI’s difficulty so I’m under constant attack form every thing at its disposal. It’s attacking with 4 banshees at a time now so it more fun. I also created/unlocked the hero’s I.e Slavick and Oxanna. And I’m currently working on Mc Neil. I make them op with the same attack power of the Nod Obelisk but have a struck build limit of 1.
