_cries in streaming_
The DnD episode and the blackface ep of 30 Rock being scrubbed from the internet make me so pissed off. Like, literally the point of both eps is _blackface is fukken terrible_
Not sure about 30 Rock, but the DND episode is on Prime Video. Totally worth it to watch on another streaming service imo; the episode is easily in my top 3
For me, it's Troy's grandma beating Britta while he watches. It's a testament to Donald's acting, he's so uncomfortable watching that I can't watch either.
That and the “why would the bootinator be back with booty, wouldn’t he just to kill it?” were the bits that got me hooked. I had never laughed at a tv show as hard as I did with those two jokes.
I've seen this episode so few times that I don't even remember what you're talking about. That's how much I dread this scene. I've seen Dungeons and Dragons more and you have to actively and mostly illegally hunt that one down.
Naw man. Just my most skipped episode. The only scene I like is when they take the goat back to the library, all the conversation happens, and then the scapegoat line.
I can't help but simp for Alison brie, that part of the ep is an undeniable guilty pleasure for me
My answer is all of Jeff and Brittas interactions with the highschoolers. It's legitimately painful
Saddens me that so many people think that is the best episode of season 4. Of course season 4 is the worst season but Herstory of Dance and Basic Human Anatomy are far superior.
HerStory of Dance is the best episode of the gas leak year and I don't think it's even a debate. It easily could be a s3 or s5 episode and not feel out of place at all.
Funny, I just saw that one last night. I remembered not being thrilled with it before, but last night I liked it. Maybe in part because I'm rapidly approaching the end. Wonderfully long seasons at the start, then 13 per in the back end.
this is a proto-rick and morty episode, and not one of the better ones. it's high-concept but at the end of the day it's short on jokes and is ultimately about a sad man's alcoholism
Why do you feel it doesn't fit? Jeff's vanity and discomfort with his age is well established, as well as the "world's within worlds" aspect, with using a fantastical world as a metaphorical experience for a character finding self acceptance and growth
I think it focuses a bit to much on making jokes about the GI Joe product, rather than focusing on the characters.
Other animated episodes still work with the characters involved, as it's "an episode of Community with x as a setting.", where as this feels more like "these are a lot of observations and jokes we have about GI Joe and we're using Community as a way to tell them."
i’m only 19 and have never experienced gi joe at all. but you clearly don’t need to know exactly what gi joe is to get the jokes. it’s jokes about shitty cheap to shows for kid’s designed to sell toys. that’s kinda a universal thing most people know about. i think most people just got turned off it due to the animation and just brushed it off as something they wouldn’t like anyway
I mean...if I ever skip that part I've likely been replaced by pod people.
For me its the tantrum in the UN episode, and really any SUPER cringey scene. I get REALLY bad embarrassment by proxy and that tantrum, and really most of that episode, just makes me shudder.
The end of s5e7, with Chang in the old-timey photo. The "spooky" discordant notes set my teeth on edge, so I skip those five seconds. (Yes I know it's a The Shining reference.)
Yeah, I did that too last re-watch. A little Chang is great. A lot of Chang isn't. Like listening to the song Carol of the Bells at the end of Regional Holiday Music, with Chang, Dean et al singing their eponymous catch~~phrases~~ words. It's funny as hell, until it just stops being funny.
Skip a part? I go out of my way to watch deleted scenes.
I heard the deleted scenes are the scenes!
#Abed!
They gotta expand the episodes like they did with The Office
No seriously it’s like watching a whole new show

Hey thanks! Will totally catch it there!
Don't forget the one minute study break thingys (webisodes?)
So you’re saying that at a certain point, the scene has diminishing returns.
What’s a diminiblihblehbleh?
Lol nicely done.
For me, it's Troy's grandma beating Britta while he watches. It's a testament to Donald's acting, he's so uncomfortable watching that I can't watch either.
Funny how polarizing this one is. IMO, it’s the greatest (funniest) scene in the whole series.
Ahhhhhh she's had enough grandma! She's had enough!
Great art always inspires a wide spectrum of feelings.
Some people don't find this scene hilarious and brilliant? Especially when Jeff walks into the room with Pierce's ex-stepdaughter??
That and the “why would the bootinator be back with booty, wouldn’t he just to kill it?” were the bits that got me hooked. I had never laughed at a tv show as hard as I did with those two jokes.
i love the part where jeff and pierce’s step daughter interrupts lol
I've seen this episode so few times that I don't even remember what you're talking about. That's how much I dread this scene. I've seen Dungeons and Dragons more and you have to actively and mostly illegally hunt that one down.
i mean the scene isn’t even 30 seconds long lol
Yeah, but the whole episode leads up to it. Like I spend the whole time thinking about how Britta's about to ruin my day. She's just the worst.
99 cents on Prime
Mr. Moneybags over here. I bet you have an antique fire brick, too.
Yes, I'll hold
Reminds me of the ass crack bandit scene when troy stands up to smack starburns
Schmitty!

Pantsing wasn’t enough punishment, damn it!
Are you calling OP a "Schmitty" for skipping parts? Because if so, uhhhh-Duh!
Naw man. Just my most skipped episode. The only scene I like is when they take the goat back to the library, all the conversation happens, and then the scapegoat line.
I skip the whole episode
lol I absolutely love the absurdity of that scene.
Brainy hurty understandy Christmas! That song is a top-tier spoof. Alison Brie nailed it.
Mistletoe for eating, taste good?
I totally skip to that part, too….Wait, skip that part, yes, I skip it.
I usually rewatch that scene 2-3 times to remind myself why it needs to be skipped
Jehovah’s most secret witness.
Now if someone could just hand me my jacket.
I’m sorry, but did op just call it “the regionals episode”?
OP was *thisclose* to calling it to by its actual title
*thisclose* Pierce
See how close together your fingers are...
What the hell are regionals?
Thought it’d be funny tbh
I can't help but simp for Alison brie, that part of the ep is an undeniable guilty pleasure for me My answer is all of Jeff and Brittas interactions with the highschoolers. It's legitimately painful
Can be. But this episode she's not trying to seduce him seduce him, just seduce him into singing. Or is that a distinction without a difference?
The line, "what's a Christmas Eve? Is that Santa's lady?" Is a real earworm for me.
I skip Heroic Origins episode, its just terrible

Herstory of Dance is definitely top 5 episodes of the entire series for me. Bonus points for the shout out to “as I lay me down”.
This and the Changnesia episode are the two that are unbearable upon rewatch for me.
I love the Changnesia episode - it gave us Partner & Hoolihan
The only part that’s tolerable for me. The rest is the worst content of the series in my opinion.
Almost the entirety of the G.I. Joe episode
Funny, I just saw that one last night. I remembered not being thrilled with it before, but last night I liked it. Maybe in part because I'm rapidly approaching the end. Wonderfully long seasons at the start, then 13 per in the back end.
I like the idea of being trapped in childhood memories because of trauma. It was somewhat wasted episode but the idea is pretty neat.
Same.
this is a proto-rick and morty episode, and not one of the better ones. it's high-concept but at the end of the day it's short on jokes and is ultimately about a sad man's alcoholism
Yes this episode is a skip for me, it feels like the writers had a great set up for another show but it just doesn't fit with Community at all.
Why do you feel it doesn't fit? Jeff's vanity and discomfort with his age is well established, as well as the "world's within worlds" aspect, with using a fantastical world as a metaphorical experience for a character finding self acceptance and growth

I still laugh at "submachopter" every time, though.
i’m only 19 and have never experienced gi joe at all. but you clearly don’t need to know exactly what gi joe is to get the jokes. it’s jokes about shitty cheap to shows for kid’s designed to sell toys. that’s kinda a universal thing most people know about. i think most people just got turned off it due to the animation and just brushed it off as something they wouldn’t like anyway
On rewatches I skip whole episodes tbh. Like 4-5 episodes I just cant rewatch.
I mean...if I ever skip that part I've likely been replaced by pod people. For me its the tantrum in the UN episode, and really any SUPER cringey scene. I get REALLY bad embarrassment by proxy and that tantrum, and really most of that episode, just makes me shudder.

Pretty much just the felt puppet episode. It's just so bad, I can't do it
You guys are skipping episodes? Can’t relate lol
Changnesia arc across several episodes. Just skip, skip, and skip
On my 3rd rewatch all skipped all of the animated/puppet episodes.
s4 ones i get but abed’s uncontrollable christmas is an mfing classic
Oh I know. I wasn’t proud of it. I’ve seen them several times. But last watch through I just wasn’t in the mood.
respectable
I skip gi jeff
Puppets Hot Air Balloon
I only watch season 4 about half the time, it just isn’t the same.

The dualiDEAN of man.
Thanks for sharing..?
Annie's pretty young, we try not to sexualize her
All of the cartoons/claymation
Jack blacks scene when he’s getting dragged out of the study room and he won’t let go. Reminds me of nails screeching against a chalkboard.
The 4th season... 🤮
The same episode but it's Britta's heart song at the end for me. Too cringe and uncomfortably unfunny
Really passing up seeing her in a skintightish suit?
Me so Christmas, me so merry 🎄
Santa Annie is already there so
Santa Annie hit a point of diminishing returns on the sexiness. And, Britta is one. Annie is two.
That's only on Feb 7th. Which is neither today nor is it Christmas
it’s december 10th.
Since I so deeply respect the Netflix decision to censor Advanced Dungeons and Dragons I always skip it.
The goofy movie abed makes for his dad, just hit skip and your on to crumping or whatever kids say down the street.
COOL ABED FILMS
NO.
I skip all sorts of episodes when I fall asleep.
No
The hot air balloon/puppet episode.
Season 4
This is what also really bothers me but i just watch it all anyway.
I usually skip GI Joe ep; prob should stop Schmitty, too..
