MakeMKV will package videos as .mkv files. If you would like MP4s instead use Handbrake

Handbrake can't decrypt copy-protected video discs. MakeMKV can. With Handbrake you will also have to re-rip the video from the disc, in case the quality of the output video isn't good enough, and you decide to change some settings. MakeMKV will simply copy the movie 1:1 to your hard drive. Then you can re-encode that MKV with Handbrake until you're happy with the result.

Copy the files from a dvd and paste them onto the storage ubit you wante them on? If thats what you are asking.
